Eye Shadow -E.L.F. - Studio Cream Shadow in Dawn
Reservechic 6/23/2012 7:25:00 PM
It's a very nice, light, taupe shade with a slight lavender undertone to it. It is perfect for doing neutral eye looks with. I love it! I always put a primer on my eyelids first, before applying any type of shadow (whether it's cream or powder based) onto such. And, especially with cream eyeshadows, the eye shadow base really helps to keep them from creasing or having their color to fade at all. If you are new to cream eyeshadows and don't where to start, I highly recommend starting with this shade. It's the most universal cream eyeshadow shade that E.L.F. makes.

Eyes -E.L.F. - Under Eye Concealer & Highlighter
Reservechic 6/23/2012 7:19:00 PM
I received this free within an E.L.F. order that I had made. I got it in the color light. And, I am so glad that I got this for free. It really isn't worth buying at all! The concealer part is decent at best. It really doesn't provide all that much coverage. Also, it is prone to creasing underneath my eyes. And, the highlighter is one that I barely used. When I have used it, I didn't find it to be anything really special at all.

Makeup Brushes -E.L.F. - Studio Kabuki Face Brush
Reservechic 6/23/2012 7:16:00 PM
This is truly one of the best makeup brushes that I own! It's brush hairs are totally soft. Also, it perfect to use to apply both pressed and loose powders onto the face. When it comes to this brush, there is not one single con that I can think of!

Lipstick -E.L.F. - charming
Reservechic 6/23/2012 7:06:00 PM
I really like this color! On me, it goes on as a pinky-coral color. It offers the perfect pop of color to my lips without ever making them look dull or overstated. It is a bit drying, but certainly not as bad as some other lipsticks that I have tried before. And, it does have a light berry scent to it as well. I highly recommend picking this up!

Concealers -E.L.F. - All Over Cover Stick
Reservechic 6/23/2012 6:57:00 PM
I actually received this product free in an E.L.F. order that I had made. I received the color Light Beige. And, I must say, that this is truly one of E.L.F.'s worst products! It provides decent coverage. However, it has a terrible scent to it, it creases, and it caused me to break out after only using it one time. Never will I revisit this product again!

Tinted Moisturizer -E.L.F. - Tinted Moisturizer Spf 15
Reservechic 6/23/2012 6:47:00 PM
I own this in the color Light Beige. It was actually sent to me for free within one of my E.L.F. orders. And, I am totally glad that I received it for free instead of actually wasting my money on this stuff! First off, I don't understand why E.L.F. finds the need to add fragrance to alot of their face products (including this one). Fragrance is meant to be worn below the neck (on our bodies), instead of on our faces. And, even though this product is meant to have a sugar orange scent, it really smell terrible! To see if this moisturizer had any redeeming qualities to it, I decided to try it on anyway. It goes on light in tone. But, over time, it does start to oxidize. Also, it made my face look overly shiny the longer that I wore it. And even though tinted moisturizers are supposed to give off a lightweight feel, this one felt like more like a liquid foundation going onto my face. Overall, I highly recommend just saying NO to this stuff!

Misc Beauty Tools -E.L.F. - Studio Makeup Mist & Set Spray
Reservechic 6/23/2012 2:10:00 PM
It works perfect for helping to keep my makeup looking fresh all day! Also, I didn't find the smell to be one that was unbearable for me at all (and I have what I would consider to be the world's most scent sensitive nose!). Even though it is fragrance free, it does have a discernible aloe+cucumber scent. And, the scent is only noticeable upon application, not after the product has dried (which happens in less than a minute). This product has become a staple in my makeup regimen. I just do one or two sprays and that's it. This allows for my makeup to stay set for practically all day.

Makeup Brushes -E.L.F. - Studio Mineral Powder Brush
Reservechic 6/23/2012 1:57:00 PM
I love this brush! Its very soft, allows for a more precise application of mineral powders to be had, and it doesn't shed at all. This brush does look bigger on the E.L.F. website than it actually does in person. In real life, it is about the same size as E.L.F.'s studio blush brush. The only difference is that it has a smaller brush head. I have used this brush to apply both loose and pressed mineral powders with. It has worked wonderful for such. And, I have not experienced any problems at all with getting the necessary coverage that I need. I have had so much success with this brush, that I plan to buy many more (to use for blush, bronzer, etc.) to come!

Lips -Revlon - Color Burst lip butter - Cotton Candy
Reservechic 6/21/2012 7:28:00 PM
I love this color! It is a medium-pink shade that goes on a bit sheer, but that can be totally built up (if you desire slightly more color payoff). It has a nice glossy effect to it. Also, it has these tiny gold refects in it as well. It is one of my absolute favorite lip butters out of the whole bunch!

Lipstick -Clinique - Chubby Stick (all shades)
Reservechic 6/11/2012 7:30:00 PM
I own chubby sticks in the colors Mega Melon and Mighty Mimosa. And, I absolutely love them! Mega Melon is of a light, peachy pink color. It is on the sheer side. While, Mighty Mimosa is of a light, pinky-melon color instead. It is a bit more pigmented than Mega Melon. And, it does provide more of a glossy effect to my lips than Mega Melon does. These chubby sticks aren't very moisturizing. However, that's okay with me. I still adore them anyway! And, even though they are fragrance free, there's a slight waxy scent to them. However, the scent doesn't linger at all.

Crème -Revlon - ColorStay Whipped Creme Makeup
Reservechic 6/8/2012 7:35:00 PM
I had never known anything about this foundation until I saw it on display at my local Walgreens. It had Halle Berry on it wearing the shade Caramel. While looking at the actual shades on display, I noticed that Halle's shade wasn't even offered as a shade choice. The darkes shade offered on display was Early Tan. I definitely thought that it was a bit ironic for them to use someone of her complexion and not even offer a color matching her shade on display (where I purchased mines). On the Revlon website, all of the shades that this foundation comes in is actually displayed. So, YES this foundation actually does come in a broader range of shades that aren't all being displayed at this time. The actual shade range for this foundation does consist of the following: Ivory (Lightest), Buff, Sand, Nude, Natural Beige, Medium Beige, Warm Golden, True Beige, Natural Tan, Early Tan, Rich Ginger, Caramel (Darkest-Halle's shade). Importantly, I do not understand why Revlon isn't offering shades in this foundation suited towards more darker/deeper complexions as well. I sincerely hope that they start doing so in the future. I am of medium complexion myself. I have a pink-to-sometimes-peachy undertone to my face. My foundation shade in MAC is NW30. I was no able to swatch the foundation beforehand. There were no testers available on display for this foundation. Therefore, I had to do the best that I could in deciding which foundation shade looked like it would best match my skin's coloring. And, after a while, I ultimately decided to go with Medium Beige. Medium Beige is more suited for individuals who are of the NW30 shade. It is not warm based. It is slightly more on the cool side instead. If you are an NC30 instead, I would recommend picking up the Warm Golden instead. The foundation itself is pretty good. It is both fragrance and talc-free. You do get a pretty decent sized amoun of product. The wearability of this product is around 8 hours for me before I start to look more on the dewy side (this is without setting powder on top). With setting powder on top, my face really does stay relatively matte until I wash it off. And, it keeps it completely transfer proof as well. Without any setting powder, I do get a little bit of transfer. However, it still wears relatively well nonetheless on my face. And, I do find it a bit easier to take off than the liquid colorstay version. I can not attest to this product being able to stay on for 24 hours. I don't wear my makeup for 24 hours straight on a daily basis. And, I don't know anyone that actually does. The consistency of this product is not like the Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse at all. It has less of a solid consistency to it than the Dream Matte Mousse. Instead, it has more of "true" whipped texture to it. Also it does not go on rather masky and heavy like the Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse does. And, it does no ball up on the face either. I use Retin-A to help combat acne. Because the Retin-A is largely responsible for keeping my skin clear, I have not experienced any problems with breakouts from use of this product. Because we all have different skin issues, I cannot say whether this product will break out anyone's skin whether it is dry, combination, sensitive, oily, or otherwise. You truly must test it out for yourself first to really know if it will break you out or not. Overall, I really do recommend trying it (especially if you have normal, combination, or oily skin). If you have dry or even very skin, you are certainly welcome to try it as well. But, individuals with dry/very dry skin, may find that they need a foundation with a bit more moisturizing properties than this one has.

Eye Shadow -E.L.F. - Day 2 Night
Reservechic 5/26/2012 7:18:00 PM
One of my favorite quads from E.L.F! I puy several of these at a time! The colors within this "infamous" little eyeshadow quad are perfectly useable for doing a flirty day look or for doing a HOT night look instead!

Lip Treatments -E.L.F. - Studio Lip Conditioning Balm in Peaceful Pink
Reservechic 5/26/2012 7:11:00 PM
The color of this lip balm looks more of a light pink one on E.L.F.'s website. However, in person, it is more of a barbie pink color instead. If you just apply it lightly, the color will apply more sheer. However, if you do apply it more heavily, the color does gain more vibrancy on one's lips. Also, it does have a vanilla+coconuty scent to it that smells absolutely delicious!! And, it has an SPF of 15. Therefore, you do get sun protection for your lips as well

Concealers -E.L.F. - Complete Coverage Concealer
Reservechic 5/26/2012 6:57:00 PM
I was so excited when I saw this on the E.L.F. website! I own a plethora of concealers and I just had to see how this one stacked up to all the rest. And, I can honestly say that this concealer was such a waste of money for me! I purchase the concealer palette in the shade Medium. When I opened up the compact, the first thing that i noticed was the little droplets of oil on top. Next, while applying it, I quickly noticed just how little coverage it actually provides. And, it is greasy and creases as well. And, the colors in the concealer palette actually look darker in their pans than they go on one's face. There are much better concealers out there! Don't waste your money on this one!

Eye Shadow -E.L.F. - Studio Cream Shadow in Candlelight
Reservechic 5/26/2012 6:39:00 PM
The color of this eyeshadow is what I would describe as being ivory with a yellowish undertone. I love using it as an eyeshadow base or for highlighting underneath my eyebrows with instead. The texture of this eyeshadow doesn't go on as smoothly as some of the other cream eyeshadows I have from E.L.F. Which is why, it is very important that you only use a small amount and blend, blend, blend! I do like to use E.L.F.'s Studio Concealer brush to apply and blend any of my cream eyeshadows with. I do find that this brush does work perfectly for that.
