Liquid -Estee Lauder - Double Wear Light SPF10
rated 3 of 5

Portable, hygienic tube. Medium thick liquid that's blendable and great for concealing, or, applied lightly, all over on oilier days or when long-lasting natural matte coverage is necessary. Not moisturizing at all, however, but fortunately it doesn't highlight flakes if skin is properly moisturized before application. Also, its mineral-based SPF doesn't irritate me. Might get it again at some point, as Intensity 1.0 is a pretty close match for my skin tone, but it's not an immediate repurchase. EDIT: Umm, this is slightly too dark and definitely too pink for my undertone. Just saw myself in bright daylight, and my neck is so yellow compared to my face in this foundation. Too bad -- if not for the shade, I would have gotten it again.

Mascara -Yves Saint Laurent - Volume Effet Faux Cils Shocking Mascara

Nice brush that separates lashes while giving lots of non-clumpy volume. I like how it defines each lash with a thick but believable coat of deep black, and I like its perfect, neither too wet nor dry, texture. Still, I don't like that it's so strongly perfumed -- I smell its soapy rose scent long after application. (I'm pregnant, so my nose is very sensitive.) To be fair, it hasn't irritated my eyes, but I don't see myself rushing to buy the full size after I finish my GWP tube.

Mascara -Maybelline - Illegal Length Fiber Extensions
rated 4 of 5

The fibers don’t always attach to my lashes, but it’s still a nice everyday volume + length mascara. Classic brush, slightly longer than average, which combs through lashes well. No clumps while applying; few flakes after a while; worth a repurchase. (Not any time soon, though, as I have 4 new GWP mascaras waiting to be used...)

Cleansers -Yves Rocher - Micellar Cleansing Water
rated 5 of 5

After finishing a 50ml sample of it, I truly missed it, as it's mild yet effective, removing all my makeup without irritating my finicky face. Also, it doesn't sting my eyes at all. So recently I ordered four 200ml bottles (for the price of two -- love their specials!). I use 2-3 cotton pads with it, and then I usually rinse; although on nights I've been too tired to splash my face with water, it hasn't left my skin sticky or tight. Recommend it wholeheartedly.

Lipstick -Milani - Rose Hip #07
rated 2 of 5
Magdalena 4/18/2012 12:13:00 PM

Very pigmented, blue-based hot pink. Shimmer-free and creamy. Bright but wearable, especially blotted and worn as a stain. The scent is subtle and doesn't bother me at all. [Edit: Alas, had to get rid of it as my lips started feeling the familiar discomfort from that mysterious lipstick ingredient I am sensitive to.]

Lipstick -Milani - Color Perfect, #50 Nude Crème
rated 2 of 5
Magdalena 4/18/2012 11:43:00 AM

Nude Crème is an opaque, shimmer-free, nicely balanced nude. Applies as a light-to-medium, neutral gray-based beige with the slightest hint of pink. Neither especially moisturizing nor drying, it wears off evenly, and I happen to enjoy the scent. [Edit: Alas, had to get rid of it as my lips started feeling the familiar discomfort from that mysterious lipstick ingredient I am sensitive to.]

Concealers -Christian Dior - Diorskin Nude Skin Perfecting Hydrating Concealer
rated 4 of 5

I use both 001 & 002, mixing them to get my shade. It covers well, but tends to crease a little. Also, Dior removed the perfumey smell that the previous version had, and now the liquid is a bit stinky. Yet to find a better undereye concealer, though.

Lipstick -Christian Dior - Dior Addict High Impact - 669 Rose Celebrity/Rose Starlet
rated 3 of 5

Applies as a neutral-to-cool magenta. As it wears on (or rather, off), loses the subtle whitish iridescence of the satin finish and starts to look much more natural and rosy. No irritating ingredients, no discernible scent/taste, not drying; not particularly moisturizing, either -- but feels nice on lips, slick and lightweight. Marked it as "No", but I probably would buy it again -- in another, lighter, easier-to-apply-without-a-mirror type of shade.

Lip Gloss -Lancome - Ultra shiny lipgloss in Autumn Jasmine
rated 5 of 5
Magdalena 12/10/2010 12:36:00 AM

Sheer, subtly glimmering medium pink. Slightly sticky, and non-irritating. Tastes sweet and has a nice (strawberry bubblegum?) scent. I'm not a gloss girl, but when my lips are especially dry and/or chapped, this helps them recover.

Lipstick -Christian Dior - Dior Addict High Shine Lipstick - 554 Backstage Pink
rated 4 of 5

Supercute strawberry pink. Sheer, sparkle-free, and shiny. Can smudge a bit as it wears, and I wouldn't say it's as moisturizing as lip balm, but definitely doesn't dry my lips out.

Lipstick -Christian Dior - serum de rouge #650 Peach Serum
rated 2 of 5
Magdalena 12/8/2010 12:54:00 AM

Creamy, shimmer-free, vibrant neutral-to-warm medium pink. Feels silky and lightweight on lips. Stays on as long as an average lipstick, doesn't migrate to outer edges as it wears, and fades to a nice pink stain. Not drying per se, but it leaves my lips a bit tight.

Lipstick -Givenchy - Rouge Interdit - Rose Desire #11
rated 2 of 5
Magdalena 12/7/2010 12:05:00 AM

Very pale, cool baby pink. No shimmer. Faint and inoffensive scent. The texture is creamy and lightweight, although not really sheer; feels thin, yet has decent color payoff. As it wears off, it leaves a pretty stain a few shades lighter than my lips. Not moisturizing, but at least it doesn't leave my lips parched. I wouldn't get it again -- I like my pinks more neutral and opaque -- but it looks cute paired with Illamasqua Katie blush.

Lipstick -Christian Dior - Interview Pink
rated 2 of 5
Magdalena 12/5/2010 11:08:00 PM

Feels nice and creamy, applies smoothly, has good pigmentation, wears off evenly. Too bad that the shade isn't right for me. It's a neutral-to-warm beige-based rosewood, which looks sort of dull on its own -- so I have to tweak it a bit with a pinkish lip liner. [Edit: Gave it away. Too dark for me.]

Lipstick -Yves Saint Laurent - Rouge Volupte Lipstick in #003 Ultimate Beige
rated 2 of 5
Magdalena 12/4/2010 11:46:00 PM

A safe beigey mauve, which is probably why I chose it at the time. But, alas, it doesn't do anything for my skin tone and I haven't been using it much. The lightweight slippery feel of the lipstick, while pleasant at first, starts to annoy me after a minute or so, and I usually blot or lick it off. (It tastes sweet, and has a fruity, mango scent.) So it doesn't last long on me at all, and -- for all that silky slickness -- it doesn't leave my lips moisturized. [Edit: Gave it away. Wasn't right for me.]

Lipstick -Maybelline - Color Sensational - Fuchsia Fever
rated 2 of 5
Magdalena 12/3/2010 8:24:00 PM

Fuchsia Fever (#140) is a happy, almost shockingly vibrant, the-closest-to-Barbie-pink-I've-had, light fuchsia. It's wearable, though -- especially blotted. The finish is creamy and opaque. It stains my lips, wearing off gradually and evenly. Three lippies off for the not-really-comfortable Color Sensational lipstick formula, which I find irritating and drying, but I like this color; it brightens my face. [Edit: Had to stop using it due to irritation.]
