Bronzers -E.L.F. - Baked Bronzer-ALL
rated 4 of 5
GlamDiva 7/2/2012 11:04:00 PM

ELF recently came out with a line of 3 baked bronzers in round pots (these are not the earlier ones in rectangular cases). St. Lucia is the lightest of the three. Maui is the peachy medium tone. Los Cabos is the deepest, a mocha brown tone. They appear matte and dry on the skin. Having dry-mature skin, I have other bronzers that I prefer, but do like the ELF bronzers used as eye shadows for a matte peachy-bronzey-brown eye with charcoal grey or black added in the outer V. Good value for the money, a fraction of the cost of a higher-end or other drugstore bronzers. Any of these bronzers could add versatility to your collection.

Blush -E.L.F. - Baked Blush-ALL
rated 4 of 5
GlamDiva 7/2/2012 10:50:00 PM

ELF recently came out with a line of 4 baked blushes in round pots. Pinktastic is a champagne shimmer multi-purpose highlighter. Peachy Cheeky is a subtle light pink shimmer. Passion Pink is a brighter pink for a pop of color, but not too deep. Rich Rose is an earthy browned peach. I'm a MAC NC20-25, and the Peachy Cheeky is almost too light for me, though it is buildable, would be good for a very light skintone blush-shy person. Passion Pink and Rich Rose look very good on me. Excellent value for the money. Have the entire set for less than half the cost of one higher-end blush.

Eye Shadow -E.L.F. - Baked Eyeshadow-ALL
rated 5 of 5
GlamDiva 7/2/2012 10:32:00 PM

ELF recently came out with a line of 6 baked eyeshadows in round pots, all lightly shimmery when swatched but less shimmery on the lid. Pixie is a peachy-pink shimmer, almost a duochrome. Enchanted is a peach shimmer similar to MAC All that Glitters. Toasted is a peachy bronze shimmer. Bark is a cool-toned brown shimmer. Burnt Plum is a soft boozy red shimmer akin to Chanel Ebloui. Dusk is a charcoal grey shimmer. I have and love them all, and think they're a fantastic value for the money. Have the entire set for less than the cost of 1 higher-end eyeshadow. Apply with a variety of brushes (I use a SKashuk fluffy blender brush most of the time, or a smaller brush for the outer V.) I don't use an eye primer, and like the way the baked eyeshadows grab onto and work with any natural oils in your skin for long wear and enhance the natural shadows you already have around the eyelid. The color range has captured my imagination and allows me to do bronzey, runway, and Victoria's Secret types of looks quickly and easily. (Note -- Pinktastic in the new ELF baked blush line is a champagne shimmer highlighter that can complement the eyeshadows.)

Lip Gloss -E.L.F. - Super Glossy Lip Shine SPF15 - ALL
rated 1 of 5
GlamDiva 7/1/2012 1:49:00 PM

I really wanted to like these tube glosses and did like several colors, their texture, and variety of effects on the lips with the different colors. I like tube glosses and apply with a lip brush. I like a sticky texture. However the scent was a deal killer for me, an artificial chemical-plasticky-candy scent that permeated even the tube and made my entire bathroom smell like the gloss. I put the glosses into a new ziplock baggie and could still smell them. I just couldn't handle it. And I would prefer no SPF. Seems like a very chem-toxic product.

rated 5 of 5

Love the Milani baked bronzers. I have Glow (lightest) and Soleil (medium) and use them nearly every day. So easy and natural, a joy to use. Beautiful packaging. Reasonable price. I have other bronzers, but these became an instant favorite, along with the Milani baked blushes in Rose d'Oro and Luminoso. (MAC NC20-25).

Foundations -Make Up For Ever - HD High Definition Foundation
rated 5 of 5
GlamDiva 7/1/2012 4:10:00 AM

I have dry, mature skin, have the MUFE HD foundation in 120, and the color is just about right for me for summer. I might do better with 117 most of the year. (MAC NC20-25). I like the way it went on easily, gave a nice even dewy look, neutralized redness. At first, it looked great for about 3 hours or so, then looked dull and seem to stick to dry patches. However if my skin is freshly exfoliated AND I use 2 layers of moisturizers beforehand (EL Daywear and Clinique DDML), the HD works out splendidly from start to finish. Other favorites are MAC Face & Body, BB Luminous, Stila Illuminating, and LM Tinted Moisturizer. The HD might be better for younger skin that was normal-combination but not too oily.

Fragrances -Guerlain - Spiritueuse Double Vanille
rated 5 of 5
GlamDiva 6/23/2012 3:02:00 AM

If you want a sexy sophisticated vanilla for adults, this is it. Boozy at the opening, bourbon vanilla, dried fruit, pipe tobacco, incense. Delicious and so fine..... If you like TF Tobacco Vanille, Chergui, or Shalimar parfum, you'll probably love Spiritueuse Double Vanille.

Fusion looks like bronze-purple-gold in the pan but goes on a soft cooltoned brown with a hint of the purple. Subtle, easy to work with, flawless every time. LOVE the Milani baked products.

Skincare - Body -The Body Shop - Cocoa Butter Beautifying Oil
rated 5 of 5
GlamDiva 6/14/2012 4:31:00 AM

TBS Cocoa Butter Beautifying Oil is for body, hair, or face - multipurpose. It smells wonderful like the softest most comfortable subtle chocolate. Use alone, or blends well on the body with the other cocoa butter products in this line. Pampering, luxurious product - I love it!

Brows -MAC - Brow Set - Beguile
rated 5 of 5
GlamDiva 6/9/2012 11:54:00 PM

In the past couple of years, I've become quite a connoisseur of tinted brow gels. I've used brow gels by Anastasia and BB, but MAC has perhaps the best color for me in Beguile, drying to a light-medium taupe brown. Covers white hairs quickly and securely, thickens brow hairs, and does everything else I want it to do such as make nifty on-trend vertical spikes from the brow hairs closest to the center of the face. Overall I think it's easier to manage in application than the other brands. Tube seems to dispense just the right amount without being goopy. Makes me look at least 5 years younger. Another favorite MAC product for me!

Lotions/ Creams -The Body Shop - Body Butter - Cocoa Butter
rated 5 of 5
GlamDiva 6/6/2012 8:28:00 PM

I love the TBS Cocoa Butter body butter - it's one of my very favorite body butters and one of my favorite TBS products of all time. A delicious light chocolate-vanllla scent that stays true, and goes well with many other fragrances nearby. Very comforting, nurturing fragrance. Try TBS body butters out in the small size to see how you like them. If you like a fragrance, then get the large size and keep the small size container for travel. TBS has expanded their Cocoa Butter line to include a Cocoa Butter Oil for face, hair, body. Also a Cocoa Butter lotion. Both of these blend and play well with the Cocoa Butter body butter. Try combining or layering some of the TBS Coconut and Cocoa Butter body butters for a delicious exotic blend.

Eye Shadow -Milani - Baked Eyeshadow - Intermix
rated 5 of 5
GlamDiva 6/6/2012 8:08:00 PM

Intermix was my first Milani baked eyeshadow. RAVE! Love this. It's the perfect gold-bronze shimmer on my eyelids, not too light, not too dark - looks marvelous on me. I couldn't be more pleased. Goes on flawless almost instantly with my SKashuk blending brush. No brainer. Me: FFF, NC25, hazel eyes.

Fragrances -Tom Ford - White Patchouli
rated 3 of 5
GlamDiva 5/24/2012 10:46:00 AM

TF White Patchouli is a strong and sharp patchouli. There may be some flowers on top. Even the tiniest amount spread around was too much for me - I may try mixing a spritz or so of the juice into a decant jar of unscented shea cream to dilute it. Could be fabulous on the right man, dosed lightly.

Lotions/ Creams -Bliss Labs - Naked Body Butter
rated 5 of 5
GlamDiva 5/23/2012 12:10:00 PM

Naked body butter is one of my all time favorite body creams. Unscented, rich, thick, absorbs well, solid luxurious feeling to it. I use it on feet and elbows or anywhere that gets super dry. Worth the price.

Eye Shadow -Bobbi Brown - Metallic Eyeshadow in Pink Pearl #16
rated 5 of 5
GlamDiva 5/8/2012 2:02:00 AM

BB Pink Pearl metallic has got to be one of my favorite under-brow highlighters ever. I was surprised how much I like this one, and am so glad I got it. I like it under brow and in the center of the lid, along with eyeliner and mascara and a wash of black or grey in the crease. Classical ballet for my eyelids!
