Lotions/ Creams -Clinique - Deep Comfort Body Butter
Ammit 6/27/2007 7:26:00 PM
I got this as a sample and yes yes it's nice. But go to the body shop if you want body butter. Thanks clinique but it's run of the mill, overpriced and not that great. Sorry.

Lipstick -Clinique - Moisture Sheer SPF 15 [DISCONTINUED]
Ammit 6/27/2007 7:24:00 PM
Sheer natural is my HG natural lipstick. The colour is understated and beautiful, the formula is moisturising and comfortable. it doesn't look like i've got blaytant lipstick on but it gives my lips a glow. I will buy this again and again. Love. Perfect for those who hate lipstick and gloss and don't want to worry about keeping their lips maintained.

Eyeliner -Clinique - Quickliner for Eyes
Ammit 6/27/2007 7:21:00 PM
I love this product. I've got it in smokey brown (very good daytime colour), black/brown and really black. All are nice. They have very good staying power which is a must for me and come with their own smudger on the end which is always useful. The colours are always very nice and look lovely on, very suitable for all skintones and colourings. The only problems that I have with this is that even though you don't have to sharpen them the ends don't really provide a precise line, also the caps have a nasty habit of cracking which I get annoyed about. Other than that, this is a quality liner!

Moisturizers -Clinique - Superdefense SPF 25 Age Defense Moisturizer
Ammit 6/27/2007 7:18:00 PM
I like this cream because it gives me peace of mind to put on. It has a nice fresh smell and doesn't irritate my skin. It's quite thick to apply (I use dry combination) and doesn't pill or anything on me. I try to use this over ddml as much as possible but it's ok on its own as well. I would buy this again for its sun protection qualities but i really do feel like it's not worth the price (£35) for what you get. It's not like you don't get enough in the tub but just that I think it's an overhyped sun protection product - however pleasant it is! I have said no i won't buy it again because I can get spf 30 for cheaper.

Treatments (Eye) -Clinique - All About Eyes
Ammit 6/27/2007 7:09:00 PM
Meh........it's ok. But I wouldn't buy it again. I don't like the slippy silicone texture of it, I don't find it does anything for circles or puffs or anything else, it moisturises nicely but nothing much else. I don't like that it comes in a tub, i prefer a tube thanks. I found that it left weird bits of dried silicone on my eye area every time i used it - not exactly what i was after for the price i paid for this stuff. You can get better eyecream for less. Try the aaerich.

Skincare - Face -Clinique - 3 Step System
Ammit 6/27/2007 7:01:00 PM
Before I say anything i'd like to just state my disapproval at people who review THEIR version of 3 step. I'm sorry but this review is for THE 3 STEP SYSTEM AS CLINIQUE ADVERTISE IT AND NOT YOUR OWN VERSION! It completely screws up the rating system for THIS PRODUCT and is totally pointless because you are not reviewing the CORRECT product. Apologies but that really gets my goat. In any case, onto the product review - just to clarify i'm reviewing the actual 3 step system here and not my own revised edition of it. This includes the ddml, the clarifying toner in 1 and the extra mild facial soap. I find this system to be first off overpriced and I am not sure if I have full faith in it. I probably will not buy for this reason. The soap is fairly nice to use but they don't tell you that before you need to use the soap you have to take your make up off (with another of their products that contains make up solvent), other than that I have no problems with the soap although it leaves my face slightly dry, it doesn't really FEEL like it's doing much but who am I to judge on that. The clarifying lotion is useful, most definitely a bit drying but not really that bad, I find this to make the difference that clinique tout it as being able to make, definitely seems to clear your skin and make it glow more than just using bog standard toner - NOTE: this is a clarifying lotion, not a toner, there is apparently a difference. The ddml is really good in my view, I really like it. It's a simple no frills product that moisturises ust like it says it will. I like! but again what clinique don't tell you until you hand your visa over is that you need to use another of their "specialist products" over the top of ddml - these other products are very expensive, i forked out for the superdefense cream which comes in at £35 per tub. Not cheap. And the ddml isn't cheap either. I don't like layering the moisturisers but it seems to work. All in all i'm fairly happy with this system but not enough to think about buying again just yet.

Moisturizers -Clinique - Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion
Ammit 6/27/2007 6:50:00 PM
Well this is a love or hate product pretty much. I have normal skin and it does work for me very well I have to say. I really like the way it seems to moisturise better than most others i've tried. This is your no frills product and is handy no matter what I find. It has no SPF, no anti ageing ingredients and no AHA's or other stuff in it, it simply moisturises my skin and for that I feel that I can't go wrong with it. It leaves my skin feeling glowy and I don't get any of the oil slick qualities that others have reported with my skin. I often don't even use powder! Clinique 3 step tends to confuse the heck out of me the way it works - I really don't like the fact you have to apply ddml, then sunscreen on top, like most women i'd like to just cleanse tone and moisturise but that's ok. This is a lovely product, I will buy again.
