Skincare - Body -Sally Hansen - Shea butter hand and body butter

This is average. I like it, but maybe I'm a little spoiled. I keep comparing it to the Sally Hansen Miracle Cure for Severely Dry Hands. It feels good when applying, and my hands stay soft, but they lose the moist feeling. I don't experience that with Sally Hansen Miracle Cure for Severely Dry Hands. The scent is pretty good - like almonds. UPDATE: I've decided that while this does work pretty well, I cannot stand the smell of it. I can't really describe it, it's just really gross.

Lip Treatments -Sally Hansen - Healing Butter for Lips

This is a very good, effective, simple lip moisturizer. It's chock full of fruit oils and butters and other good ingredients. It's got nice a citrusy scent. This balm comes in a pot with a flip-top lid. Convenient, but not very chic looking. Overall, I really like this product and would purchase again.

Lotions/ Creams -Sally Hansen - Miracle Cure For Severly Dry Cracked Hands
rated 5 of 5

This my first Sally Hansen hand creme and I adore it. It's very rich and emollient. I look foward to applying it. This beats the 18 Hour Protective Hand Creme because it not only leaves hands soft, but moist also. It has a nice lemony scent. This is great stuff.

This is ok. It feels pretty good when you first apply it. The effect seems to fade a little though, leaving hands feeling soft but not really moist. The scent is really yummy, but starts to make me a little nauseous after a while (it's really strong). Pretty good moisturizer, but I think I prefer Sally Hansen's Miracle Cure for Hands better.

Bronzers -Physicians Formula - Shimmer Strips - Custom Bronzer Blush and Eye Shadow
rated 5 of 5
dbmiller 5/23/2007 12:41:00 PM

I have Malibu Strip (pink), Vegas Strip (light bronzer) and Miami Strip (healthy) and I don't think I'd call any of them a bronzer. I like them all but I haven't chosen a favorite because I don't think that the actual color payoff is any different between the three. I use them as a highlighter, and they take my matte mineral makeup to dewy. These are very shimmery and you can definately overdo it. They have curbed my craving for Bobbi Brown Shimmerbricks. I love em!

Lip Treatments -Jack Black - Intense Therapy Lip Balm spf 25
rated 5 of 5
dbmiller 5/18/2007 10:57:00 AM

This stuff is absolutely fabulous. I LOVE the fact that it has SPF 25 in it. And if that's not enough, it's VERY moisturizing because it's chock full of really good ingredients, like shea butter. It comes in a cute blue tube and the price - well let's just say it's a very good buy for what you get.

Lips -Too Faced - Bunny Balm in Girly Grapefruit
rated 5 of 5

I desperately want to eat this lip balm. It looks as declicious as it smells - like candy. Not really like grapefruit. It is in the most adorable tin ever. And what's inside is awesome - a high quality, moisturizing balm. And the color makes it even better - a gorgeous light pink with shimmer.

Lip Treatments -Tarte - Slide Tin Lip Balm

I couldn't be happier with this. I don't get the mixed reviews. It's great! I got Pucker Up and the balm is a light pink, and provides a pale pink tint. It smells like cotton candy, and I'm truly impressed. All other "cotton candy" scented balms don't really smell true to their name, but this nails "cotton candy". It truly smells divine. The texture is thick and slightly sticky, which I like. It's VERY moisturizing and it has SPF 15!!! What more could you want?

Lip Treatments -Smashbox - Smashbox Lip Treatment
rated 5 of 5
dbmiller 5/17/2007 12:45:00 PM

This is pretty damn good. The packaging is very sleek looking - a white lipstick case with "smashbox" written on the side. The balm itself screams "quality". It's a lipstick style balm, with a white core and peach surrounding - I'm not sure what the difference is, if any. It goes on clear and smells and tastes like honey - yummy! It has SPF 15, which is fabulous. The balm is moisturizing, but not overly so. It also LASTS! I'm definately happy with it and will repurchase.

Lip Treatments -Pout - Superbalm
rated 4 of 5

I normally don't go for balms in a pot, however, you will be the envy of all your friends when you whip out this little beauty! This has the feel of "summer" and even says so on the side of the box it comes in - "Sexy Sunwear". The pot that it comes in is bronze colored, with hawaiian flowers on the bottom. The balm itself, is clear-nudish color with shimmer - it's absolutely beautiful. It has a delicious honey scent that reminds me of Neutrogena Honey Rescue Balm, but I don't detect any flavor. My only dissapointment with this balm - it's only decently moisturizing. I would never use it to cure a case of chapped lips. But it's so beautiful that I can see past that and just use it for sheer pleasure. :-D

Lipstick -Tarte - 24-7 Lipsheer- Champagne Brunch
rated 5 of 5
dbmiller 5/17/2007 12:26:00 PM

I really like this more than I thought that I would. First off, I love the packaging - a rose colored metal case that is very sleek looking. The color of the balm, when looking at it, reminds me very much of Blistex Lip Tone. This goes on more sheerly and less pink, it seems to me. The texture is thinner too, but even so, I don't feel that it's lacking any moisture. This lipsheer has a very pleasant vanilla-mint scent, but I don't detect a flavor. It also LASTS and LASTS, despite the thin texture. And as always, the fact that it has SPF 15 in it, scores hugely with me! Definate repurchase!

Lips -mark - Kiss Therapy Lip Balm in Shimmering Shell
rated 2 of 5
dbmiller 5/17/2007 12:21:00 PM

I'm pretty happy with this. It's a beautiful color - pink with golden irredesence, thus making it a nude. It looks highly pigmented in the tin, but goes on fairly sheerly. The fact that it has SPF 15 in it is a HUGE plus, as well. My only dislikes are that it's not as moisturizing as the original and that the texture is somewhat gritty. Still, would repurchase. UPDATE: Bleh. I never use this. It's goopy and not sheer enough. Plus, I can never get the container open, which is worthless, IMO.

Eye Shadow -Bare Escentuals - Vanilla Sugar
rated 5 of 5
dbmiller 4/25/2007 10:37:00 AM

Like another reviewer said below, "Vanilla Sugar, where have you been all my life?!" I got this in the mail yesterday, and didn't think much of it because it seemed too peachy in the pot. So this morning I got up and put my faith in fellow MUAers, and again, you guys are right - Vanilla Sugar absolutely rocks my world. I've been looking for a neutral wash that would brighten my eyes, and this is it! Makes my eyes look ethereal. Oh, and this is my first BE eye shadow, and this applies so much more smoothly than anything else I've ever owned.

Blush -Bare Escentuals - Warmth All Over Face Color
rated 4 of 5
dbmiller 4/18/2007 11:37:00 AM

I have the original container of Warmth, still completely full because I hated it. Maybe I'm not being totally fair with this, because I hate bronzers all together. But this is ridiculously dark to look good on anyone in my opinion. It made me look dirty. UPDATE: I figured out that I was using way too much of this to be able to like it. Still think it's slightly orangey. But if I use a very sparing amount, I like the look. I also like to layer Flawless Radiance over this, since it's very matte.

Highlighters -Bare Escentuals - Clear Radiance
rated 5 of 5
dbmiller 4/16/2007 3:48:00 PM

I start freaking out when I start to run out of Clear Radiance. The thought of being without this miracle would be tragic. It's SO BEAUTIFUL! It provides a glow to skin that's almost undescribable - not at all glittery, slightly pinkish (not enough to make skin look pink, but enough to tone down yellowness). Awesome around eyes and just all over.
