Fragrances -Avon - Extraordinary [DISCONTINUED]

I could not believe that Avon produced such a wonderful scent. I looked this up on "Now Smell This", and apparently the nose who created this scent also created some wonderful, much more expensive fragrances. I'm not surprised. "Extraordinary" is not your usual Avon or department store scent. The chocolate and orange (yes, i smell orange) in it are not sweet. This isn't for beeboppers but for women who appreciate more than "bathe me in sweetness". EDT's. It's not what I consider a comfort scent....more of a sophisticated scent.

I love this fragrance immensely. It is complex, extremely comforting, never overwhelming. The notes I notice the most are the hay, honey, and tobacco. It's everything else that keeps it from being simply those notes....which I imagine would be pretty awful on their own. I only wish this fragrance were released to the USA all the time.

The middle and top notes aren't so great. They reminded me too much of the gingerbreadpeople I make for Christmas. However, the basenotes are awesome. It is the most perfect bittersweet chocolate, not semisweet. I can still smell a trace of spices; they're not overwhelming like they were before. If only the whole scent were that fragrance, I would rate this a 5. Packaging is only entered because the screen requires it; I am rating on a sample.

Fragrances -Unlisted Brand - Ginestet Botrytis

I LOVE this fragrance. It is the first full bottle that I have bought in several years. It isn't just honey; I went to the honey bottle to confirm it. I then tried a wrist-by-wrist comparison with Frapin '1270". Frapin has woods, but Botrytis has better lasting powder. The former was gone in a couple of hours at most, where as Botrytis was still there. It is such a comforting scent then when I cannot get to sleep, it can actually help.
