Lotions/ Creams -Olay - Quench Therapy Body Lotion

This is my HG body lotion. I've had the one with the red writing and the blue (sorry, don't remember the specific names... and now they've changed the packaging) and I prefered the red, but both work great. They are shimmery, so if you don't like that, beware! However, I'm a teen and I love the shimmer. This body lotion is extremely hydrating and I apply it right out of the shower. The next morning my skin is smooth, soft and supple. Will continue to repurchased! Bonus is that you get a ton of lotion for the price ($10-12)
Eye Shadow -Sephora - Colorful Mono Eyeshadow - Aspen Summit (23)

I received this with the birthday gift last year. You get a decent amount considering the gift is free. I haven't hit pan but granted I don't use it much. This colour is way too frosty for me, and for some reason, my never applies evenly. Perhaps its expired or something, but as far as I can remember it has always been like this. It's much too shimmery for a face highlight and even when I try to apply it to the inner corners of my eyes, I have that unevenness problem. I remember one time I wore it on my nose as a highlight and someone asked me if I had white sparkles on my nose. Not nice!
Moisturizers -The Body Shop - Tea Tree Oil Blemish Fade Night Lotion
summerrain1994 6/20/2011 10:49:00 PM
I asked for this for Christmas last year along with the face wash and spot treatment stick. Unfortunately all were a let down, but this one was the worst. First of all, it did nothing to clear acne OR moisturize the skin. I have oily skin and it made my skin very dry and super flaky in the morning. It's expensive for the amount you get (I think it was about $18). I saw no difference in my skin besides the dry spots - no changes in acne or the redness in my skin tone. Luckily, the lady at the shop was very nice and allowed me to return it, used, and without a receipt.
I used the regular Pro Activ (for the face) religiously a few years ago and it worked so well that I purchased this body wash. Even after regular Pro Activ stopped working for my face, this still works for my body. I get acne mainly on my shoulders and chest. Just a few pimples here and there, but enough to make me self conscious. This stuff, when used every time I shower, had completely eliminated these pimples. My skin on my back and chest is clear, soft and smooth. I pray that this continues to work for me, because it's all that has worked for my troublesome areas.
Treatments -Unlisted Brand - Witchcraft Nail Hardener

I purchased this at Wal-mart for around $8 CAN I believe, and am really glad that I did! For a girl that has brittle (they break easily) and flaking nails, I wanted something that would make my nails stronger. I work at a bookstore as well, and no matter what I did, sticking my hands in and out of the books also seems to ruin my nails. Anyways, this stuff is great! I wear two coats underneath my regular nail polish, and one on top. It keeps my nails strong, and my polish long lasting. The only time I get breaking is when the polish begins to chip off the tips of the nails. I agree with the MUAer that said that when they don't wear this treatment, their nails get very brittle. This is the same for me, and though it's annoying, I just try to keep up with the treatments (applying at least once a week). The smell isn't that great either, it's super strong, but I just do my nails outside in this case.
Misc Beauty Tools -Clean & Clear - Oil Absorbing Sheets

These are great - remove oil very easily, effectively, and great just to stash in your purse when you're on-the-go. They last forever, and if you don't have a ton of oil like me, you can cut them in half. Anyways, the reason these got a three is because they're super over-priced and I've moved onto better (cheaper - free) things... this includes Starbucks napkins and toilet seat covers... just google those and you won't be spending 5+ on these things anymore! They do work, though, so if you really don't like the idea of the things listed above, these still work just the same.
This is a review for the 2 Step Foot Repair with soak and lotion. I recieved this for Christmas and just got to using it today after I noticed how disgusting my feet looked! I used the foot soak first - I filled the bath tub with about 2 inches of water and put the gel in it. It smelled wonderful and I read a magazine for 10 minutes. And wow! It smelled great and made my skin suppper soft. The foot lotion is really nice too, just a typical peppermint foot lotion. You get a lot for the price... my only concern is the packaging. There was no tear to easily open it and I accidentally opened both at the same time.
I'm surprised to see that this had so many bad reviews! I had this product from when I was 11 or 12 underneath my bathroom cabinet... one day a months ago I decided to try it out and see what happened. This is great for finishing off my hair. It adds a nice shine to my hair which is always soft but rarely shiny. It doesn't have a nice smell, just a typical hair product smell, but I spray perfume in my hair anyways after.
This is a review for the Hot Brights blush... not the bronzer. The packaging it very similar to the bronzer, the flower on the front is just pink and obviously the product instead is pink rather than brown. I eyed this blush for a very long time when it first came out, and eventually, I caved and bought it for $25CAN. I love it so much, and when it went on sale for 5 or 6 $ on boxing day, I picked up two more as back-ups (because it is now discontinued). First of all, the packaging is just beautiful. It's slim so it's easy to store, oval, and has a nice, large mirror inside. As for the product, it's just as good, if not better. Even if it stayed $25 I would have purchased again. Usually I swirl the hot pink and the baby pink together (one side of the pan is one colour, the other side is the other colour) and use my Ecotools brush to apply it to my cheeks. Sometimes I'll use the lighter side after as a soft, sweet and natural looking highlight. It's nice when I'm in a rush or travelling and don't want to pull out a separate highlighter. I have very pale skin, and the pink colour looks great on my skin. It's soft and sweet, and doesn't look like I packed on the colour. The product also smells really nice - florally, but not too strong or overbearing. It puts me in a good mood when I smell it in the morning. I'll be so sad when I've run out! (I'm currently on my second since 2009).
After one of my friends said that he loved this perfume on a woman, I wanted to try it SO badly... to the point where I almost bought it online without smelling in it the store. I couldn't find it ANYWHERE, and when I finally saw it at Shoppers... I practically ran to the adorable, heart-shaped bottle. It smells... horrible. I hate the scent - I think it smells like cologne (and a really bad one) and gives me a headache. Almost, it's very strong and potent, so when I sprayed it on, I smelled it everywhere I went. The only think I like is the packaging, but unfortunately, there's where it ends. I hate this perfume (sorry to anyone who does like it) and am glad I never bought it.
OUCH! This things hurt so badly when you pull them off - maybe I'm not wetting them enough but they hurt so badly! It feels like I'm ripping off the skin. I don't have blackheads so I can't comment on how these help those, however, I think it's kind of neat what you see on the little string when you pull it off. I don't notice a different in my skin at all, save for some redness from pulling it off. Would not repurchase just because they have no use for me.
I own the sparkly, light pink colour and have had it forever. Since I can remember (since I started wearing make-up) I have always worn a faint, light pink eyeshadow all over my lid when I'm in a rush. I find it just gives a brightest to your face and a little pop of sparkle. I'm going to admit that the packing isn't great (it's hard to open and the brush is just... well, it just sucks) and it doesn't have the greatest pigmentation, but I like the subtlety of it. I imagine that if this was super pigmented, it'd look like I had swollen pink, sparkly eyelids. I may try to use it wet, but I like it just the way it is. I also love how much product you get for the decent price - I haven't hit pan and the shadow is dome-shaped, and I imagine the pan is flat.
Styling Products -Clairol - Herbal Essences Set Me Up Hairspray
summerrain1994 4/23/2011 9:19:00 AM
I have the spray bottle version (not the aerosol) and I really love it! I don't like aerosol hairsprays as I find you waste more product and get it everywhere BUT on your hair! Anyways, this doesn't give the greatest hold, for a girl like me that just wants a bit of hold to keep things in place, it works nicely. It smells like alcohol when you first spray it, but after it dries, it gives nice floral scent. I've gotten many compliments on the scent of my hair when I spray this in it!
Skincare - Face -Phisoderm - anti-blemish gel facial wash
summerrain1994 4/23/2011 9:15:00 AM
Unfortunately, this product didn't do much for me. Though the pump was wonderful and it didn't smell too bad (I find that acne cleansers often have a really bad small), it did little to nothing to clear up my acne. It is also very drying and I have oily skin, so I wouldn't suggest this if you have dry skin. I also wouldn't use it with the Clarisonic as that just made the drying worse. It does remove make-up pretty well, though, so it gets one lippie for that. Now it's expired so I imagine I'll just throw it out.
I am SO glad that I discovered this product here on MUA - I had some sitting in my cupboard and was so happy that I didn't have to spend anything to try something new. I have used this as a spot treatment on my face and I have gotten so many compliments on my skin! I barely have to wear any foundation and I'm set to go out. The smell is pretty bad (don't inhale it, trust me!) but it goes away once it soaks into your skin. I tried it once on my hair but I didn't give it much time and I didn't rinse with cold water. Am hoping to try again tomorrow.
