GLOSS AND LIPSTICK TWINSET REVIEW: Got this lipstick with a gloss did not suit my NC 20-25 skintone - it was in a mauve type of shade with a horrible frosting, not a pleasant scent although very nice packaging silver and sleek - that's when I wished Lancome stuck to making mascaras and gave up on their other ranges!!!

Lip Gloss -Coty - Miss Sporty Fabulous Gloss

Introduced by my younger cousin a few yrs ago and then I purchased the gloss in Pansy/tulip (clear 3d pink blue undertone)and Sorbet x2 (has lovely mini glitters MORE LIKE tiny SHIMMERS 3d light pink with blue undertone though clear when applied with shimmer - non tacky I usually hate glitter in my make up) - amazing for a high st value brand gives 3d affect and lovely fruity scent been complimented on it since I was a teen had to purchase new tubes from internet as I think they may be discontinued (some shades?) - very moisturising - LOVE Product...goes on nicely with other make up too. Be careful to screw cap on tight or product may leak otherwise fab would be nice if came with a brush as it is hard to squeeze contents out when a small amount is left.

Got this lipgloss from Dubai duty free I don't know why there is nothing special about the reddish pink shade which subtle glitter which does not look tacky ; the texture is great as expected from the high end glosses- waste of space did not end up using looks more red than pink prefer Mac/Givenchy for glosses (3D). I'm sure there are plenty of dupes in this shade.

Styling Products -John Frieda - Frizz-Ease - Heat Defeat
rated 2 of 5
shopaholick 4/3/2012 10:51:00 AM

Okay so I love the normal frizz ease in emergencies... however I have fine non frizzy hair, I use frizz ease when I when I wake up late I am in a hurry and have to go work etc and blow dry my hair wet after washing it, which can leave it alittle frizzy at times - the frizz ease thermal protector is not suitable for my fine hair although I have lots of it - it really weighs it down and can make it look dull and greasy if too much is used- but it is such a great idea (serum and heat defence 2 in 1) - I also have the John Frieda Shine spray not so great- the brilliant brunette balm is okay again not soo great... overall I find that the JF range ruined my hair in the long term ---too much silicone or something..I'll stick to Herbal essences, GHD and good old natural coconut oil (few drops/treatment) to soften my hair for now!!!

Lip Liners -Rimmel - vinyl jelly gloss lip liner [DISCONTINUED]
rated 5 of 5
shopaholick 4/3/2012 10:33:00 AM

Just got 3 lip liners in tasty (sort of brown pink more brown) starlet (lovely light pink sort of frost not tacky) and hot spark (gorgeous berry red with hint of mettalic frosting) - amazed at how glossy they are can be worn alone as lip stick very moisturising howver will need a sharpener and a tissue in hand at all times as they are soft and run out quickly- can get alittle messy compared to some regular lip liners- lovely packaging but 4 *s due to the messy factor......VERY HAPPY ...may need to reapply occasionally as with most glossy lip products as the product is extremely glossy, but I think its worth it very lovely shades.

Lip Liners -Rimmel - 1000 Kisses Lip Tint
rated 4 of 5
shopaholick 4/3/2012 10:23:00 AM

I purchased this lip tint as it was for a promotional price and whilst waiting for my max factor lip tint in 05 marshmallow (which I love but can be drying) to arrive... I immediately noticed the lip balm on the end of it which I thought was a great idea since other lip tints that I have used can be drying- I purchased a plum type of a shade looked nice deep berry/red shade which can be used as a lip liner or a lip tint - HOWEVER THE STAYING POWER IS NOT GREAT color faded out within minutes ESPECIALLY AFTER I APPLIED THE BALM - yep color faded w'iin MINUTES without having a drink/food- will be sticking to Max Factor for now. I am generally more of a Rimmel fan over max factor..... I will update after regular use. The shade is more like max factor no 3 or 6 - I prefer the 05 as it looks more natural on my nc20-25 skintone. The rimmel shade is more subtle than the maxfactor, which is nice however, it is builadable. The packaging is similar to the max factor but alittle more vibrant and fresh which is nice however the balm on the end is very convenient on such a product but can seem like something more appealing to teenagers - since it is just a blunt balm with no shape etc - at first it could look like the packaging. Would have preferred balm section to have been more discreet especially since it may become tinted after uses and can get messy. UPDATE: STAYING POWER NOT SO GREAT ESP WHEN EATING BUT LOVELY SHADE AND LOOKS GREAT UNDER LIP GLOSS NOT OVERLY DRYING LIKE MAX FACTOR XX

Used once instead of my Herbal essences shampoo (at swimming baths from a friend) - great hydrating treatment for my hair and scalp - I dont have dandruff but would not mind switching to this shampoo for hydrating my naturally dry long hair- I will update upon longer use.

Conditioner -Clairol - Herbal Essences Hello Hydration Moisturizing Conditioner
rated 5 of 5
shopaholick 4/2/2012 12:10:00 PM

I was using Jason Organics shampoo on my fine textured hair for a long time it was great until one day I noticed that it began to dry out my hair out and my hair started falling out - so I decided to stick to Herbal essences hydration shampoo and conditioner they are both lovely and relaxing smelling products unless you don't like coconut - many people have asked me what I have used in my hair. overall great product alot cheaper than what i was used to paying and does a better job... Hello Hydration is good for those with naturally drier hair like mine otherwise it could weigh it down..I tried the raspberry extract sonditioner by herbal essences too with silk for avoiding split ends but that did not moisturise my hair as well as this does. Hair feels softer sometimes I leave it in for 5-15 minutes and use coconut oil in my hair first (pls see review). Overall great product a rounded type squeezy bottle may be more convenient as the conditioner does not always come out of the bottle as I have long hair and I have to unscrew the cap which can get alittle messy. Fixed my hair through regular use.

Mascara -MAC - Zoom lash

Excellent mascara even on my supersensitive eyes - definately a high end product however wish it gave both length and more volume like the lancome hypnose drama and ysl faux cils Noir Radial. Compares to Chanel immitable mascara but the Chanel gives more drama. Still a good mascara compared to many high st brands which I generally avoid due to sensitive eyes and skin. I also love the quality of some f the higher end mascaras.

Liquid -Chanel - Vitalumiere Aqua
rated 4 of 5
shopaholick 4/2/2012 11:12:00 AM

I purchased this product after receiving a mini trial in Oxford by a assistant - she immediately picked out B-10 Beige Pastel which instantly matched my NC20 skin tone - the foundation did not feel heavy at all it is water /aqua based, it has a lovely rosy/floral smell (light) which surprisingly did not react with my supersensitive skin. It has SPF 15. The shade B-10 is great for those with a warmer yet pale skin tone as it contains some white coloring - so can be great esp for fair Asians/midd Eastern skin. I have been wearing the foundation since September 2011 now I can safely say that before this i was never a fan of foundations although I always used Chanel YSL Mac etc - this feels like a tinted moisturizer - however as my skin is a little dry the foundation can be drying and so it will need good moisturizing before applying- which may not be great if you are in a hurry or would like to touch up during the day without moisturizer. If you have normal skin then you would might not need to worry about dryness the foundation is PERFECT for a light/med coverage and for reapplying as it makes you look fresh faced and radiant. I have grown to like the smell as the product is so good and no when I use another foundation I even miss the smell. The bottle is plastic at first I did not like it as it looked cheap and since the foundation cost alot in comparison to some other brands; but I found that it was much easier to travel with it - it can get alttle messy if not wiped after use as it is a squeeze type bottle and not a pump - but overall I will be repurchasing but I am not looking forward to paying so much for it. So overall the product is good if you are looking for a light/med coverage feels like it allows my skin to breath it did not break me out ever and it is easy to carry and fits in makeup bag- you may/may not react depending on your skin to the scent which you may/may not like - my skin is super sensitive I did not react- the foundation is great except for the cost you only get 30ml !!! 4 lippies due to cost otherwise 5 x A definate must have great for daily use and buildable for occasions (not heavy)... UPDATE: AMAZING AS ABOVE- HOWEVER COMBINATION SKIN CAN GET DRY AROUNG NOSE AND CHIN USE GOOOD MOISTURISER BEFORE APPLYING. LOVELY PRODUCT. GIVES NICE SUBTLE GLOW (BEIGE PASTEL 10)

Styling Products -John Frieda - Full Repair Perfect Ends Deep Infusion
rated 1 of 5

This product is a oily serum and you have to be careful not to use too much especially on fine hair as it can make it look greasy -but a little can go a long way. I paid more for it online as I ordered from USA - the product smells nice not an a annoying fragrance. I really wanted to agree with the positive comments on MA, but I can not - I have fine hair but lots of it - unfortunately this product did not do anything for my hair but instead left it with noticeable split ends not only at the ends of the hair but towards the middle of it - I have never had this problem and even though I have very long hair, as a stylist I make sure split ends are kept to a bare minimum or they don't exist - family & friends have commented on the change as it is somewhat dramatic and now I have to cut the hair - think I will stick to natural oils to use on my hair - It is possible that my hair did not agree with the Sacha Inchi oil as I think it contains a high acid ash, but I do not think that there is enough of it inside the product - the Inchi oil itself is expensive but JF use a tiny amount which makes the serum overpriced. I am sure my hair condition changed with this product but not for the good as it was the only thing that I added to my product range as continued with the usual treatment for my hair that I have been using for many years (all natural oils) and John Frieda frizz ease occasionally if I HAVE TO RUSH OUT FOR A MEETING ETC with wet hair in damp/humid weather. If your hair is already in a good condition and you are looking for something extra just because you have read reviews then I would not recommend this product - I just went by reviews as I thought that it would be good for long hair - was I wrong! You might disagree but I think like all things its trial and error. UPDATE: WARNING EVERY TIME I TRY THIS I REGRET PURCHASING IT I THINK IT IS THE SACHA INCHI OIL (BE IT A SMALL AMOUNT) INSIDE THE PRODUCT IS TOO ACIDIC FOR MY FINE HAIR (EVEN THOUGH I HAVE ALOT OF IT) - DAMAGES MY HAIR SO BADLY UPON EACH USAGE.

Blush -Aubrey Organics - Silken Earth Powder Blush

Just tried the starlight pink shade on my NC20 skin - it is very glittery with some big glitter , well too big for my taste anyway - the shade is nice but better as a highlighter but very glittery one - Generally I am always advised to buy a light pink/peach blusher as it sutis my skin tone better BUT I have to layer this on before it shows up on my skin tone so I REALLY dont think that it would suit deeper skin tones as a blusher - I am left with a golden shimmer - disco ball effect flat color (like chalk) with tons of chunky gold glitter- A PITTED SKIN EFFECT ON CLEAR SKIN MAKES PORES LOOK OPEN AND SIMPLY UNPLEASANT - the pink is very subtle more like a champagne pink/beige - might work better in the winter but I dont think I would want any gold glitter in my blush - generally good product amount given in packaging - I purchased this because the warmer rose shade looked like it would be too heavy on me - Unlike other blushers I HAVE TO APPLY 3 times the amount just maybe because the shade is not pink enough and too glittery and so in order for tit to show up I have to apply alot. Not happy but shade looks fab inside the container. Again like many products/mineral powders once you open can create a mess when traveling...:( UPDATE : AUBREY ORGANICS WHAT WERE YOU THINKING WHEN YOU DECIDED TO CREATE THIS MESS ; A TALCUM POWDER WITH CHUNKS OF GLITTER- THE WHOLE MESS IS LIKE A JOKE - COMPLETELY RUINED THE AREA IN WHICH IT WAS USED ... No one wants it lol - TEENAGE COUSIN WONT EVEN GO NEAR IT....SOOO TACKY!!! CREATES A MESS

Great blush, great shade, great value and alot of product great size -can be used for a subtle glow on my NC20 skin all year and - very elegant, great for peachy spring/summer trend - very similar to nars orgasm I prefer this - bargain - suits my sensitive skin - no bismuth oxichloride I think so no irritation and overall very good product:) Can be applied lightly although product is very pigmented - only a tiny amount needed (depending on the look you want) -I have read on blogs about people adding this to clear nail varnish - creates a lovely color and to clear gloss (I dont know if thats safe and havn't tried it) - I used this as an eye shadow and its worth trying PROVIDED THAT THERE IS NO REACTION/there is no irritation..it was okay and my eyes are sensitive...many compliments recieved. MUST TRY UNDERNEATH CLEAR NAIL VARNISH EG YSL CLEAR BASE AND TOP COAT 2 IN 1 - SUPER FAB!!! YOU GET A LOVELY ROSE GOLD NAIL COLOR... 4 for packaging because a brush would be very useful... but for £3.99 bargain!!
