Styling Products -TRESemme - Volume-Volumizing Mousse Mega Hold (Replaces Volume & Body Thickening Mousse)
poncholefty 9/21/2007 9:48:00 PM
*UPDATE* After about two weeks, my head started itching like CRAZY!! When I stopped using this, it went away. :( And I liked it so much! ------- I can't believe I haven't tried this sooner - and that I keep trying products without checking with all you ladies first! This is the best mousse I've ever tried. Gives me great body and hold, smells great AND costs next to nothing. I got my hair cut short a few months ago, and have gone through TONS of products - some drugstore varieties make my head itch, some expensive ones won't hold 'doo. But this one is GREAT. Thanks for steering me in the right direction once again!

Treatments -Kerastase - Aqua-Oleum

This was OK for me - I hated the smell and it was a nice conditioner. But it didn't work miracles. I'm not a fan of this line at all. Must be my finicky hair ...

Lip Treatments -Vaseline - Lip Therapy
poncholefty 3/30/2006 9:58:00 PM
This is my HG lip balm. It's the right amount of "grease" but it doesn't feel like I'm coating my lips with motor oil. It has a nice light fragrance and no taste. It has cured even my worst dry-lip days. I have a tube in my purse, my desk, my car, my bedside table ... At 99 cents a tube you can't go wrong!!

Styling Products -Pureology - Root Lift
poncholefty 3/29/2006 9:27:00 PM
This is a great mousse. It give me awesome body without being sticky or too smelly. I like the concentrated spray nozzle - I can get the product right on the roots where I need it the most. A little expensive, but I'd buy it again and again. *EDIT* After using this a few days, it quit working. Plus. my hair started feeling slimy.

Masks -Unlisted Brand - Aspirin Mask
poncholefty 3/29/2006 9:25:00 PM
When I first read about the aspirin mask on MUA, I thought you people were all off your rockers. Then I thought, OK, these people haven't steered me wrong yet. Plus for less than a buck, how can I go wrong? So I tried it. It left me with possibly the most amazingly soft skin I've had since I was 6. Months. Old. I know everyone has a "secret mixer" - mine is Aveda All-Sensitive Cleanser. 10 crushed pills, two pumps of cleanser and a little water. Five minutes later, I'm a goddess. I had the beginnings of a zit when I tried this. The next day, it was gone. Completely. Don't stop - run to your drugstore NOW and try this amazing concoction. It REALLY works.

This stuff is awesome. Period. I love the scent. I love how it feels. It mixes great with the body cream and leaves my skin smelling great and feeling better. I love the pump package - a half a pump goes a long way. Awesome stuff.

Lotions/ Creams -Dermalogica - Body Hydrating Cream
poncholefty 3/29/2006 9:14:00 PM
This is some of the best body lotion I've tried. I get dry, gross patches on the backs of my upper arms (I know ... nice visual, eh?) but after one use, they were gone. Just gone. I'm not itchy anymore, and it's not greasy. Plus, a little goes a LOOOONG way, like all the Dermalogica products.

Cleansers -Dermalogica - PreCleanse
poncholefty 3/29/2006 9:12:00 PM
Ever since trying the DHC cleansing oil, I've liked the idea, but DHC was a little too heavy for me. This is just right. I LOVE the scent and it doesn't feel like I'm using motor oil on my face. It rinses clean and takes the makeup off in a snap. I like to mix it with the Daily Microfoliant at night.

Scrubs -Dermalogica - Daily Microfoliant
poncholefty 3/29/2006 9:09:00 PM
This is a great mechanical exfoliator. It is a little grainy, but it works just fine for me. At night, I mix it with the PreScrub before using the cleanser. The oil works as a "shock absorber" (IMHO) and takes some of the scratchiness out. But even alone, I think it's a great product.

Skincare - Face -Dermalogica - Skin Renewal Booster
poncholefty 3/29/2006 9:07:00 PM
I really like this product. It's very mild - even one my first application I had very little tingling. It goes on smooth and fast. I like how it makes my skin glow. After just one week of using Dermalogica, I've gotten several compliments about my skin. It's a little spendy, but it's worth it!

This was the one item in my trial kit that was average for the. The rest, I fell in love with. The grains were a little big. It was average for me, although it did the job.

Moisturizers -Dermalogica - Active Moist
poncholefty 3/25/2006 12:57:00 AM
I think I'm in love. I've been searching for the perfect skincare line since I was in utero. Dermalogica does it for me. I'm definitely "normal" - a little oily in humidity, a little dry in winter, rarely breakout. I chose the normal/oily, since we recently moved to a WAAAY more humid climate than I'm used to. The cleanser felt AWESOME and didn't feel tight - even before the moisturizer. The toner felt like it DID something - light scent, comes in a cool spray bottle. I sprayed it on and spread it with a cotton pad. The moisturizer was the best - not too oily, but enough to make me skin soft and supple. I can't wait to try some of their other products. If my boyfriend doesn't ask me soon, I may marry this line ...

Cleansers -Dermalogica - Special Cleansing Gel

I think I'm in love. I've been searching for the perfect skincare line since I was in utero. Dermalogica does it for me. This cleanser felt AWESOME and didn't feel tight - even before the moisturizer. A little goes a long way - I use just a drop in the morning, a little more at night. ***UPDATE*** Nine months later and I still have THE SAME bottle I was using when I did this review. A liitle drop is all you need. I'm STILL loving this. The cost is offset by how long it lasts!!

Lip Gloss -Prescriptives - Moonbeam Reflective Gloss
poncholefty 3/24/2006 11:42:00 PM
I'm not much of a gloss gal - too sticky - but I like this one. Goes on smooth, but it doesn't feel like I'm wearing latex on my lips. Plus, lots of pretty colors. I'm going back for more this weekend!
