Polishes -OPI - Excuse Moi
pinkfrost52 11/17/2011 4:43:00 PM
'Excuse Moi' is the only polish that stood out to me from the new OPI Muppets Collection. The glitter in this polish didn't appear as chunky compared to the other colours from this collection. It's a lovely warm cranberry jelly base with specks of multi-coloured glitter (both fine and chunky). It is pretty dense and covered well with three coats. Without a top coat, it feels a little rough on the nails once dried, but adding a top coat helped to make the nail feel smoother and also to prevent chipping. Would also be pretty layered over other polishes. Like most glittery finishes, this was a pain to remove!

Skincare - Body -Sally Hansen - Airbrush Legs in Light Glow
pinkfrost52 11/17/2011 4:26:00 PM
This is one of the better fake tanning products that I've tried. First of all, it didn't give off an "orange glow" to my skin which is a major plus since that is often a common problem for me. It does set quickly, but I found the trick is to BLEND and it will work in nicely and not give you uneven patches/streaks. I exfoliated before as well and used a glove to prevent stains (on palm of hand). The glitter that some people have talked about is not that harsh. It's more of a shimmer and looks quite subtle. Not chunky at all. What I love most about this is that it makes your legs look much more toned and covers flaws too! (scars, bruises, etc..) I only wished it lasted longer. It rubs off a little at the back of my knee and occasionally onto clothing (especially on hotter days). Also, the spray is quite messy so be prepared to clean up after!

Polishes -Sally Hansen - Complete Salon Manicure in Shrimply Divine
pinkfrost52 11/17/2011 4:03:00 PM
Lovely bright hot pink colour, but formula was a little hard to work with. I like the flat brush because it allows for quicker application, but wished the formula wasn't as streaky. I needed two thick coats for an even application and I noticed it chipped rather easily too.

Fragrances -Elizabeth Arden - Taylor Swift Wonderstruck
pinkfrost52 11/14/2011 5:47:00 PM
This is a lovely sweet/fruity feminine scent and would be versatile for a wide age group. It opens very sweet of berry and vanilla with some sort of floral note. There's a gourmand feel to this, and carries a slight "sickly sweet" feel. The vanilla and berry notes are very strong and carry out quite well to the end where it starts to smell a little musky. I wished there was more of a stronger floral note since it does smell rather linear with the vanilla and berry. A little generic in my opinion, but it accompanies the design of the bottle and Taylor Swift's "girly" persona too. Doesn't last for very long, so that is definitely a let-down.

Lipstick -MAC - Impassioned (Amplified)
pinkfrost52 11/14/2011 5:17:00 PM
I don't tend to wear very bright hot pink shades, but I have fallen in love with this colour! 'Impassioned' is not as bright on my NC30 skintone like I thought it would be even though it seems that way from the colour in the tube. Brightens up any look when you pair it with a very simple neutral eye. The texture is creamy and goes on perfectly too. Also love using this as a "stain" by lightly dabbing on my lips to add a bit of colour when I don't want something too bold.

Treatments -L'Oreal - Elvive Full Restore 5 Masque
pinkfrost52 11/14/2011 4:50:00 PM
This deep conditioner is meant to reduce hair breakage/fall, dryness, roughness, dullness and split ends. After finishing the tub, I noticed my hair would feel much softer after each use (usually once a week), and looked a little shinier. At the tips of my hair where it gets the driest, I would apply the most product and apply less product near the roots. There is a noticeable difference with continued use and a small amount goes a long way. At times when I used too much, it made my hair feel a bit more greasier and would also take longer to rinse off. I use a small dollop for my shoulder length hair and an entire tub lasted me almost 3 months (using once a week). Pretty inexpensive too and I prefer the tub packaging since it lets you scoop out every last drop.

Polishes -OPI - My Address Is Hollywood
pinkfrost52 10/27/2011 12:41:00 AM
Just what I wanted - a watermelon pink polish with very minimal shimmer. The shimmer isn't harsh, and you can barely see it once it's been applied. I thought it was a little odd that OPI released this with their Autumn/Fall collection (Touring America 2011) since this particular shade doesn't scream "Autumn/Fall'' to me. However, that doesn't matter because it's a beautiful shade and is going to be perfect for Summer. I used two coats, no streaking and lasted about 4 days before it chipped without a top-coat.

Lip Treatments -LUSH - Bubblegum Lip Scrub
pinkfrost52 10/27/2011 12:33:00 AM
I love LUSH lip scrubs in general, but I hate the scent and taste of this bubblegum flavour. It's just my preference and I know many love this but I prefer their 'Mint Julips' scrub over this. It does a great job at exfoliating away dead skin and makes for a "smoother canvas" on your lips so it's easier to apply lipsticks, lipstains etc.. It also makes your lips feel slightly plump, but it wears off rather quickly. Won't be repurchasing this particular scent, but will go back to their 'Mint Julips' one.

Lip Treatments -Cover Girl - NatureLuxe lip balm in Marble
pinkfrost52 10/27/2011 12:07:00 AM
This is just average to me. It's only good as a lip-balm (if that's what your after). I wanted a bit more of a tint from this and instead got an incredibly sheer-colourless payoff. As a lip-balm, it wasn't too drying, but did start to feel a little waxy as time went on. 'Marble' has a bit of shimmer, but is not too noticeable once applied. Won't be repurchasing.

Polishes -Essie - Chinchilly
pinkfrost52 10/25/2011 4:48:00 PM
I love grey earthy shades of polish and 'Chinchilly' is a good example of that. This is a cool toned medium grey with a slight hint of taupe. It's very chic and would flatter many skintones. The formula is a little thicker than usual. I used two thin coats and it was opaque.

Eyes -NYX - jumbo eye shadow pencil-black bean
pinkfrost52 10/23/2011 5:33:00 PM
Good base for smokey eyes, but it creases on me unless I wear the Urban Decay Primer Potion underneath and apply a thin layer of the jumbo eye pencil on top. By thin, I really do mean thin! Too thick and even set with shadow on top, it will crease sometimes. Very pigmented and has a matte finish. Good universal shade for many smokey eye looks.

Fragrances -Sanrio/Hello Kitty - Hello Kitty Eau de Toilette Spray
pinkfrost52 10/23/2011 12:05:00 AM
Sweet. Very sweet. It pretty much smells like sugar - if I covered myself in syrup this is what I would smell like. It has a very linear scent that is a little headache inducing because it lingers for so long! When this finally wore off, it smelt like plastic/playdoh and wasn't appealing at all! Definitely for the 15 and under age group.

Scrubs -LUSH - Ocean Salt
pinkfrost52 10/22/2011 9:17:00 PM
This scrub is very harsh and abrasive on the skin! I wouldn't recommend if you have sensitive skin. For my combination skin, I found it a little drying and it stung quite badly the first few times I used it. I figured it must have been from the combination of citrus, vodka and salt which must have caused the stinging sensation and dryness on my face. I stopped using this as a face exfoliator and resorted to using it as a body scrub (since I didn't want to waste product). It work's wonderfully removing rough skin on knees, elbows and heels, but I would exfoliate first then shave (because it can sting a little from my experience). The scrub comes with a popsicle stick that you're meant to stir up before use (to thoroughly mix the ingredients). It is very thick and smells fresh of citrus. If you plan on using this as a face scrub, limit to once a week because it can be very abrasive.

Eye Shadow -Wet 'n' Wild - Color Icon Eyeshadow Collection - Petal Pusher (736)
pinkfrost52 10/22/2011 9:01:00 PM
This is okay, but not as good as their ''Comfort Zone'' palette. Why? I found that these shadows were much more softer and were prone to breaking more easily. I personally preferred the colours on the right hand side since they were much more "friendly" for my skintone and had better pigmentation. The shades on the left were a bit sheer and the first two shades were very frosty for my liking. All eight shades have a shimmer finish and some of the lighter shades can look a bit too frosty on my skintone. Also, the darker shades have alot of fallout. Overall, not the best palette from Wet n Wild in my opinion, but for the price of the palette, it wasn't a big loss.

Polishes -OPI - Honk If You Love OPI
pinkfrost52 10/18/2011 4:37:00 PM
Great Autumn-Winter colour. I got this with the recent "Touring America" collection. This is a lovely deep eggplant purple with a "jelly finish" - very dark and gives off a "vampy" effect. Although it is pretty dark on the nail, it doesn't look black in my opinion. Not the most unique shade out there, but the formula was easy to work with. Two coats and it was opaque with no streaks.
