Palettes -Coastal Scents - 78 Piece Makeup Palette
rated 4 of 5

Most of the shadows/blushes, in any of type of these named/numbered finished palettes, are nicely pigmented. Though, I find that if you don't flick off your brush and use a base, you will get more than average fallout. So I recommend that you do your foundation last..... with any of these various named/numbered palettes. Each one are great and have a variety of colors you can play with. @Everyone: Please save your hard earned $ and just buy all the Coastal Scents, Bh Cosmetics, etc...etc...Palettes off of EBAY!! They really ARE the SAME thing/colors! Its just that they switch up the pans in different places sometimes! I know some say that some are pigmented than other brands. But no they are not really! Its just that some palettes are FRESHER therefore they will give you BETTER PAYOFF. You can buy any variety for around $10.00 each on EBAY! I actually bought the 10 Blush, Neutral, Concealer, Camouflage Palettes for under $8.00 each.... on EBAY!! Really! Now I am a big believer for supporting American businesses. But we all now know where they get their stuff from....so I feel perfectly fine buying from overseas. ;)

Lip Gloss -NYX - lipgloss with mega shine
rated 5 of 5
mrsleonidas 9/24/2011 12:29:00 PM

I love Mega Shines too death. The formula is not sticky(though I like sticky as it stays on my lips longer like my MAC Lipglasses)its slippery. The scent is sweet but not cloying. My faves are....Sweetheart, Smokey look and Taupe. HEADS UP GALS: TAUPE has CHANGED from being a MAC C-thru like dupe to............... MAC's ""TAUPE EYESHADOW"" with tiny shimmers! Freaking crazy uh? But it has! lol! I have to say I like it. Its a beautiful neutral that plays down any bright pale milky pink to a nice pale like coffee brown with extra milk and some chocolate added. ;)

Eyeliner -Clinique - Cream Shaper for Eyes - Chocolate Lustre
rated 3 of 5
mrsleonidas 9/23/2011 1:26:00 PM

Wow the reviews saying that this is so creamy and easy to glide on......are very confusing to me. The .03oz gwp(.04oz for full size) that I received is kinda hard and not at all creamy like. For formula comparison......imo, its no where near creamy like all of my UD 24/7's, Prestige, Milani, and HIP cream/gel liner in pencil form. I would say that the formula is actually even a bit harder than Rimmel's Auto Waterproof liner in Blackest Black and Colorstays Blackberry Auto pencils.(and Rimmel doesn't not even state that its a cream like formula) So how in the world can they call this a "Cream Shaper!?" Hmmm.....I guess, as others have stated below, they must have changed the formula. I have to pull out my lid when applying on my upper or lower and then go over it a few times to get the color to be even and dark. As you all know that is a no no! Tugging, pulling and rubbing will certainly cause early wrinkles.I am in my 30's and my lids aren't so taught anymore.....so this formula is not great for me. Now I can say this...... I LOVE the color! It freaking rocks! It is a beautiful bronzey reddish medium brown with tiny tiny gold shimmers. The staying power, once you finally get it on, is really great as well. So, if you love medium bronzey browns with staying power(who doesn't right lol) try it and hopefully you will get a softer one just like it is suppose to be! Plus, maybe mine was an oddball. But, others have said it too below. I have even sharpened it all the way to the middle and it still isn't as described. I know that my UD .03 size liners with the clear lids seem to dry out faster and separate from the wood more than my full size ones with the metal lids.......so maybe that's the problem. ;)

Bronzers -Smashbox - Green Room Bronzer- Deep Bronze
rated 5 of 5
mrsleonidas 9/21/2011 3:44:00 PM

Deep is...... Not too orangey after applied on my cheeks. Though, when swatched between Hoola and MAC Matte Bronzer's.....it looks more coppery/bronzier than them. But thats what I like about it. This gives me a gorgeous SUBTLE GLOW that I thought I could never have!!!!! Since I have larger pores on my cheeks near my nose......glitter usually just looks awful on them. But this is like a SATIN shimmer....so it rocks! Simialr to Avon's Mark Pro Bronze....which I love too btw! My faves are,Estee's bronze Goddess(which is actually a satin too in a way), Marks Pro Bronze, Hoola and MAC Matte (plus millions more) Hoola just sat on my face looking bland and kinda orangish yellow brown. While MAC's Matte was better looking on me and a tad redder. And Estee's Matte Bronze goddess was better than the two above and has lil bronze shimmers which i liked to top off my mattes with. But, I never felt like any of them were my HG. So, ever since I bought this off ebay for under $5.00.....I only use the 3 above now to touch up my Deep bronzer later in the day(so its not too glowy) or after setting with my silica HD powder. Too bad this was limited....I have already bought 2 more. Though, I will probably not get to use them for like 2 years or so. I have used this for awhile now and I have not even took off the embossed leaf yet. The formula is so smooth and satiny. Its packed nicely and does not have fallout. I just love it so much!

Eyeliner -Prestige - Total Intensity Eyeliner-Bold Brown 02
rated 4 of 5
mrsleonidas 9/15/2011 9:40:00 PM

This color is an awesome blackened brown that does NOT have any RED to it.....Yay! But unfortunately, when wearing this on my waterline it irritates my eyes. It is the only pencil eyeliner that has ever irritated my eyes. (Though, WetN'Wild's gel/cream liner in Eggplant leaves me with very red stoner looking eyes for 2-3 days, if used on the waterline too) Darn it! This has an awesome price, color, smooth formula and gives great wear time. It just makes my eyes feel so thick and irritated. And I am never irritated by things. I have read other reviews that say its the oil used in this that irritates them too....damn!) Oh well this is still awesome, for me, on my upper lids. The formula rocks and its right up there with the big dogs....just way lower price! I do not need to pull on my 30something eyelids to get smooth dark coverage! It goes on bold and stays great..... just like my expensive Urban Decay 24/7's in Zero(great black), Whiskey(too red for my liking), Rockstar(killer eggplant), Stash(medium olive green), Mildew(dark cool shimmery green) So, just try it...Why not! Its cheap and hopefully it will not bother your eyes.

Mascara -Lancome - Hypnose Drama
rated 1 of 5
mrsleonidas 9/7/2011 11:41:00 AM

Boy,I wish I that I loved this like many others do! :( I really loved the regular Hypnose........ So hearing that this is faster at giving "Drama".... Well it was on then! ;) But imo, for my normal lashes, this one just turned out to be a big wet spidery clumpy mess! Girls, I honestly do not get any volume or even any good lengthening with this. I am a mascara whore ;) ....so I have a lot to compare to. My lashes are light blonde and very fine and without mascara my eyes are almost invisible. So yes, I really do have an arsenal of them. I know what to do with a wetter type formula( like Lash Blast is pretty wet in the beginning and MAC's Zoomlash is even wetter, etc's) I just wipe off the excess on the sides and then I turn a fan on me while applying do help lashes dry upwards faster and then they all usually work pretty good then. I even let this sit for many weeks after first use, to let dry up a bit, and it was still is too wet to do anything for me. Maybe when its on deaths door it'll work better! Lol! I also read how others use it and I tried different methods....like using the hump side out first for volume and then used the other side for lengthening and vice verse. But I still I just get skinny, clumpy, straightened out, and spidery looking lashes! :( I wish I could love this like all the others! I guess I will keep using it on days that aren't that important.....so I do not waste my money. Damn this really sux! I thought with all the excellent reviews on here and Sephora, that this brush would give me an easy instant easy false look. I wear a dramatic eye daily and since I have 2 boys, a hubby and 2 dogs and I do not have time to apply more than 2 layers. Oh well, guess everyone has different lashes and some work better than others.(but my lashes are actually pretty normal. They are just fine, medium length, slightly curled and are very blonde)

Eyeliner -Maybelline - master drama eyeliner
rated 4 of 5
mrsleonidas 8/27/2011 2:47:00 PM

The product in general is great. Similar to UD24/7's formula but in an automatic pencil. But the price and packaging is just sux! If you want the same amount of product that you get with U.D 24/7 you would end up paying way over $18.00!

Mascara -Lancome - Hypnose
rated 5 of 5
mrsleonidas 8/26/2011 10:02:00 AM

I have blonde see thru lashes which are thin and short. So since I have 2 boys, I need a mascara to amp up the volume and length fast! I first add curl by using my ELF curler...which is awesome for a $1.00. Just do not press too hard with it, since it is like a automatic one and does the job for you. Also,be careful cuz the silicone is very soft on this one! But therefore you get your lashes to curl up pretty easily and fast! Yay! These are all of my mascara's that I like to rotate with: "Benefit Bad Gal"(fave its formula is perfect for me and very buildable for a natural or dramatic look) "MAC Studio Lash"(pretty wet at first and I can only use 2 thick coats because the hard plastic brush starts to actually pull off the mascara!) "MAC Zoomlash"(since its a very very very wet formula..I have to wipe off the brush really really really good on the sides and can be spidery if you don't do that....but then the results are good) "Lancome's Hypnose"(thicker formula for fast results) "lancome's Hypnose Drama"(wetter than the original and can get spidery if applying over 2 coats) "Clinique High Impact"( buildable for an above average day looking lashes) "LashBlast"(which is pretty wet at first, though not as wet as Zoomlash,so during the first week or so upon opening it for the first time, I have to turn on my overhead fan on and it then it dries a lil quicker while still going on creamy and it is a very creamy buildable formula for me) So, as you can see.... I am a crazy mascara addict and this one gives me false looking lashes...instantly! Only 1-2 coats needed!!! I can get the false effect with going slowly! Wiggle at base and pull up slowly and zig zag a lil. It is a thicker formula and going too fast will clump and pull off the mascara as well! Also, do not pump or go back in more than once per use! This is thick...so it will dry out faster than others! I also, sometimes only apply primer from the "middle of the lashes upward" This way clumping is not really an issue with any brand of primer. I love drama eyes and pale lips "daily"....and I have tried most mascaras that are below the $25.00 dollar range. IMO,this one is worth the money if you want drama...fast!

Mascara -Maybelline - XXL Curl Power
rated 5 of 5
mrsleonidas 8/26/2011 9:18:00 AM

Silly Girls ;)........ all mascara primers will flake off if: You do not apply the regular mascara immediately after application of primer. The primer needs to be still sorda kinda wet....then it shouldn't clump as easily! I actually like this stuff! I am a crazy mascara addict and this one does its job great for me. The Very Black is very black. ;) So, its no problem going over the white primer. The formula is "not very wet" like say MAC's Zoomlash yet its "not thick/drier" like Lancome's Hypnose. Its in the middle. The wand is a smaller than your typical brush with a curve. I find that gets my inner lashes pretty easily. You can get the false effect with going slowly!!! Wiggle at base and pull up slowly and zig zag a lil. I also, sometimes only apply primer from the "middle of the lashes upward" This way clumping is not really an issue with any brand of primer. I love drama eyes and pale lips "daily"....and I have tried most mascaras that are below the $25.00 dollar range. So, for the cheap price of $3.00 on Ebay....this shiz is pretty good!

Polishes -OPI - Purple with a Purpose
rated 5 of 5
mrsleonidas 8/21/2011 12:33:00 PM

Girls, this is such an awesome purple color! The pigmentation is just right.....with a good base coat, I only need 2 coats for pure perfection. On my screen, this color is represented perfectly by the bottle picture above!!! Yay! I really do not understand why this one does not get much attention! In comparison, this is what I wanted "Catherine The Grape" to be. It seemed all the swatches online gave CTG a deep purple(which it is) with a slight lavender depth(which it didn't) in the purple. It turned out that CTG was actually more of a muted/darker purple with brownish red tone. Now I still loveee my CTG too death and I do wear it a lot in the fall/winter..... Though, PWAP is my fave purple for anytime of the year! It is a darker type purple, yet its bright at the same time! If you love darker like purples and want a bit of lavender added to lighten it up and want a "subtle pink flash" finish....then run and buy this baby now!

Polishes -Essie - millionails
rated 5 of 5
mrsleonidas 8/12/2011 10:36:00 AM

Girls, this stuff really DOES WORK! Now you have to use only this for a week or two as stated on box....add another layer each day and you WILL SEE RESULTS. Then, just start using it as a base coat, under your lacquer and finish with a good top coat. I also like to add a top layer every other day or so... just to keep my mani shiny. My un-strengthened nails are really really awful.......they are VERY VERY THIN.BEND ALL DIRECTIONS and PEEL badly! I never polished my nails because the would just peel off from the bending so easily. But when I tried an OPI Lacquer....I was amazed at how long it stayed on them. But, I wanted long nails and a longer lasting mani.So I did some major research and found out how to do it. 1st. Buy a quality strengthener 2nd. Buy and only use a GLASS FILE(emery boards actually rip your nails and therefore causes peeling) 3rd. Buy some cuticle oil and use it nightly. Years ago I started with NailTekII Foundation and I seen a big difference right away. Yay!(I was thrilled too death cuz I have used so many drugstore strengtheners with no results!) But just hair shampoo...it stops working as well as before and we have to switch it up every once in awhile. So,I then used OPI Nail Envy Original and for years it worked a lil better than NailTekIIFndtn. Yet once again years later, it seemed to stop doing its job too. So, last year I bought this and imo.... it seems better than OPI. Cuz, I still had a nail or two bending on one side at the tip....and this strengthened them right up...like the other nails. Yay! So, I say just go for it! P.S. I buy mine on Ebay for half price. ;)

Polishes -MAC - Mischievous Mint - Quite Cute
rated 3 of 5
mrsleonidas 6/21/2011 11:42:00 AM

The color rocks! But the formula and brush SUX!! I too had the same experience as the reviewer below with the "brushes bristles being splayed out everywhere!" Although I am an avid MAC user....this bottle was my first MAC polish. Honestly, I was completely shocked that the BRUSH WAS NOT SOFT!!! I have over a 100 bottles of OPI, Nubar and Zoya....so was very very let down by the lack of quality here....for this price! Oh well....I can live with it though because the color is a beautiful pastel blue mint green. The formula was not worst that I have tried... but I was saddened that for the money....it was just ok. You do need to thin it out.... just to actually use it! Plus, you will need at least 3 coats just to get it to look even! Color wise: China Glaze For Audrey....... looks really turquoise when next to this. I'd say if you added a crap load of White Out to For Audrey, you probably could get close to Mischievous Mint. Essie Mint Candy Apple...... really looks like a baby pastel blue and.... MAC is more pastel green. Overall, I am happy that I was able to buy this before it sold out and I am glad to have it in my collection. ;)

Lip Gloss -NYX - 28 Whipped
rated 5 of 5
mrsleonidas 6/14/2011 2:48:00 PM

This is a gorgeous Matte "Pale Milky Pinked Soft Peach" color. (I am extremely confused by the reviewer below stating that this is similar to MAC Prrr.Well,I own Prrr and it is a darker soft tangerine peach color and is a frost!) ;) I really do love this color and the smooth formula. The lemon scent is not as strong and pine-sol like as my pink colored Sorbet. I do believe that I received the older version of Sorbet and the "better/newer version" of Whipped.....in my recent order. darn it! IMO, my Whipped smells sorda similar to my EOS Lemon Drop lip balm. So, its sweeter than the original Nyx Girls glosses scent. It does not last too long on the lips, but for $2.00, who cares! Its gorgeous and cheap! I just reapply when needed and do not worry about using up my favorites MAC Glasses in Underage and Florabundance so fast. I like to use this freely/daily and then save my MAC Glasses for going out and whateva.

Makeup Brushes -Sigma - E35 (ss222) Tapered Blending
rated 5 of 5
mrsleonidas 6/10/2011 1:40:00 AM

Ummmmm....I am so confused right now! Cuz,I am confident that all the reviews below are reviewing a completely different brush than the E35. I am sure that they are all confused and are reviewing a black tapered/pointed face brush called F25! Though, this section is suppose to be for the E35 eyeshadow brush!!! NOT for a black tapered face brush! This E35 brush is suppose to be the close DUPE for "MAC's 222" eyeshadow brush...which has white hairs. The letters in front of the numbers tells which type of brush it is. E stands for eye brushes F is for the face brushes Now onto the quick review: This dupe is actually fluffier and more rounder than the MAC222.Plus the hairs are a a bit shorter.....but that is why I love it so much! It works perfect for my crease.IMO,its more similar to the MAC 224.....just not as big. So its perfect for my smaller crease. I haven't experienced any shedding and definitely haven't had any bleeding while washing(like the reviewers stated below with their black hair brush)since the E35 has white hairs! Lol! ;)
