Treatments -Ren - Rose Synergy O12 Restoring Facial Serum

New Years resolution, take better care of my 35 yo skin. I've been wanting to try REN products so I purchased this along with the AHA resurfacing serum, thanks to my BFF for my bday presents. I've been loving the combination of these products. I use the AHA serum for my acne scars(my beloved clinique turnaround stopped working) and put the rose serum on top as night moisturizer. Yes it's pricey @ $80 for 1oz but a little goes a long way, I only use one pump, less than a dime size for my whole face, concentrating on my dry flaky spots around my nose. This has not broken me out, has brighten and soften my dull combo skin. Amazing. I'm definitely interested more REN products, purchased cleanser, hopefully it works well as these products.
Eye Shadow -Chanel - Soft Touch Eyeshadow - 87 Taupe Grise
makeupaddict76 1/6/2012 9:13:00 AM
Yes I feel crazy spending $30 for a single shadow but I don't regret buying this at all. I purchased Taupe Grise along w/Safari, my first Chanel eyeshadows, exciting! This shadow is amazing, it is all that, what people rave about, the texture, pigmentation, beautiful taupe shade w/purple undertone. And best of all, I wore this w/out a primer for 10 hrs w/out creasing and mind you I have oily lids. Amazing! I don't know if I will repurchase any more chanel shadows due to price, not unless someone can convince me again...
Blush -Laura Mercier - Second Skin Satin Cheek Colour - Lush Nectarine
makeupaddict76 1/6/2012 9:05:00 AM
I purchased Lush Nectarine and Lotus Pink, my first LM blushes and I can't believe I never tried these before. I love love peach blushes and this is no exception. It has beautiful matte glowy finish so I've been wearing it during winter but it would also be perfect for summer. Packaging is really tiny compared to my other blushes but a little goes a long way, very pigmented and long lasting. I'm definitely looking into buying more LM blushes.
I was afraid this might not be pigmented enough on my NC30-35 skin but I was pleasantly surprised as well. I'm a blush collector but I don't own anything like this. It a light pink w/hint of lilac, looks beautiful and natural. I don't really care for packaging but I like that it has flip top lid w/a mirror. I've been disappointed w/Benefit blushes before but they have me convinced with Hervana!
I purchased the brightener at CVS for $14. I think it's a ok product, not in love w/it though but definitely better coverage than Garnier roller concealer. It does brighten my under eye at initial application but doesn't keep the coverage throughout the day. Texture is pretty smooth, really easy to apply, packaging is convenient and slightly creases and skins into fine lines even w/an eye cream. For $14, I rather spend my money on something better. Will not repurchase.
Powder -Cargo - Cargo Blu-Ray High Definition Powder Makeup
makeupaddict76 12/16/2011 9:49:00 AM
I heard good reviews that this powder works great as a setting powder for oily skin girls. I didn't really feel like spending $30 for a setting powder(w/out coverage) but bought it during Cargo's FF and glad I did. It seems really chalky on my brush but once you apply it to your face, it's not powdery but very smooth and blends perfectly into my skin. I purchased it in color 20 which looks super light for my NC30 skin but looks natural and most importantly locks in my liquid foundation for long hrs. LOVE!
Finally got my hands on Tonga blush during Cargo's FF and I've been using it everyday for work. It has replaced my loved Tarte Exposed blsuh, which is bit rosier. I think this is more natural on my pale winter skintone. It looks pinky in the pan but comes off my face as more nude natural flush, beautiful matte shade for everyday. The only gripe is it seems kinda chalky and package is bulky but otherwise lovin this blush.
Surprisingly I do like this product. I bought Creme Brulee, Peach Parfait and Sugar Frosting @ CVS for around $8 and PP is my favorite. PP looks very dark peach in the tube but it's actually pretty nudey wearable peach with golden shimmer. I stayed on my lips for a longtime, even after a meal(preferably w/lip liner). It doesn't really moisturize my lips but I like that it's long lasting and not sticky like some lip butters and glosses. I probably won't purchase anymore since other colors don't interest me.
Liquid -Maybelline - Instant Age Rewind Eraser Treatment Makeup

Lately, seeing all the reviews on youtube, had to try this foundation and I'm glad I did. I was worried since I thought this foundation is for dry skin but it works great on my combo-oily skin(dry in winter). I dot it all over my face w/the applicator and smooth it out w/my finger. It feels so slippery, almost like silicon based primer and feels very wet. I do have to wait for few minutes to set it w/powder. But after it dries, it gives me a matte, slightly dewy finish. It does transfer easily and I do need blotting throughout the day but gives me a medium coverage for at least 8 hrs. I'll probably use it up for winter. I purchased Pure Beige(I'm around NC30-35)at CVS for $10.
Eye Shadow -BeneFit Cosmetics - Creaseless Cream Shadow/Liner-BIRTHDAY SUIT
makeupaddict76 11/30/2011 12:18:00 PM
This is my first Benefit Ceaseless Cream Shadow but was a little disappointed. Looks beautiful in the pot but not as pigmented as I expected. It will crease w/out a eye primer and comes off too shimmery. Color can intensify if packed on few layers, looks pretty similar to Fawn Over Me Velvet Shadow. But overall pretty taupey golden shade, I would like to try other shades.
I love MUFE aqua creams, I have this and #13. #15 is a deep metallic browny bronze color, very pigmented and of course long lasting even w/out a primer.
I was using this product pretty consistently but didn't think it was all that great. Now that I'm a new mom to a 3m yo, I haven't had any time to treat my skin and finally one day when the baby was sound asleep, I decided to bust this out after putting away for months(when I was pregnant, my skin was too sensitive to exfoliate). WOW! Now I know this product truly is awesome! It brightened and smoothed out dull face, glowing, amazing skin and reduced my pores significantly. Truly incredible!
Treatments -Clinique - Turnaround Concentrate [DISCONTINUED]
makeupaddict76 11/30/2011 11:35:00 AM
I'm not sure why I keep going back to this product even though I haven't seen significance improvement, I think it's cuz this product doesn't break me out. I've been consistently using this product for 3 months and my dark spots have been slowly fading away. I'm not sure if it works well on brightening my complexion overall safe product for me to use everyday without break outs and harsh reactions. Definitely repurchase until I find something better. Plus I found it cheaper at my CCO.
Skincare - Face -Kate Somerville - Eradikate Acne Spot Treatment
makeupaddict76 11/30/2011 11:28:00 AM
Smells terrible but really good overnight zit zapper. Cuz of the smell I don't use it everyday, especially on the old deep cystic acne but works great on whiteheads that pop up now and then. It definitely works faster than my other acne treatments such as Differin, la roche posay effaclar k, and bare minerals blemish treatment powder.
Since I was getting bored w/Mac Oak, wanted to try a different lipliner w/all my fav nude mac lipsticks such as Myth, Creme D' Nude, Blankety, Hue, etc. This color washes me out, makes me look like I'm wearing a concealer on my lips.
