Lip Treatments -Too Faced - Lip Injection

A swapper sent me a mini of this as an extra and I love it so much I just bought the whole kit from Sephora. I don't have particuraly small lips, my tops a bit smaller than the bottem though so I thought I'd try it anyway. WOW! This made them alot plumper and because of all the blood rushing to my lips, they were a nice pinky shade (my lips have no color almost naturally) so it was like I didn't even need a gloss over them. This is very shiny and I do love how the gloss by itself looks. I made my 2 friends at work try it and they both loved it too! Than the one guy we work with said to us, "I don't don't what you used, but boy you guys all have nice lips". And he never notices anything, so that was good enough for us. And I happen to like the tingle on my lips, call me crazy, but it reminds me of the tingle you get from Big Red gum but on your lips instead of in your mouth!

Palettes -Too Faced - Rent Quickie Chronicle
rated 4 of 5
ledonatella 11/25/2005 6:45:00 PM

This is a limited edition palette available only at Ulta salons, which I do not have by me so I had to order online, but it got here fast and in good shape. Anyway, the 50% of palette's proceeds go to the Jonathan Larson foundation, who was the writer of the play "Rent" who died shortly after. Ok, on to the product itself.....this is exactly the same as the Beach Bunny Quickie Chronicle, I held them side by side to double check, but it was the same. That being said, I collect these and The Beach Bunny was one of my faves so I don't mind. But if you are looking to buy something new and different you might not want to bother. It has very nice bronzey shades...Carribean bronzer, a bronze, golden, and goldey rose shadows; a rosey beige, light pink, bright pink, and nude glosses. They all work well for my LLL NC20 skin, and the quality is good, plus it's a nice size palette for $25! Like I said if you collect these, or are a fan of the play/movie, want to donate to charity, or have not tried the Beach Bunny quickie, it's worth it, but if none of that apply's to you, you can skip it.

Polishes -Zoya - Valentina
rated 4 of 5
ledonatella 11/21/2005 10:19:00 AM

Valentina is the perfect Christmas red. It's a touch lighter & brighter than I'm Not Really A Waitress by OPI. I would say Zoya's Isabel or Divincia is more like that one, but this is close as well. I don't like INRAW but I do like this one. This has been my toe color for the past few months as I like lighter shades for my fingers. The only problem with Zoya polishes IMO is that they bubble up too much, but I talked to my friends in the nail department of my salon where I work and they said it's probably the way I do my nails, although I've never had an OPI bubble on me. When the nail techs do it for me, I have no problems so I guess it is me! That being said, these polishes do last a good while. My pedi's usually will last me 3-4 weeks with very light chipping at the top of my nail. Not bad for someone on their feet all day! That being said, I don't think I'll swap my OPI's just yet, but I do like Zoya for a good alternative.

Lip Gloss -mark - Glow Baby Glow in Belle
rated 5 of 5
ledonatella 11/3/2005 12:26:00 PM

This is so pretty! It didn't turn red on me, but stayed just like in the tube. I'm pretty neutral toned, skin tone wise so I suppose if you were a bit warmer maybe it could go red, but not on me. The consistancy is nice and it's a great product for the price!

Palettes -MAC - Holiday 2005-Trend
rated 5 of 5
ledonatella 11/1/2005 1:24:00 PM

Love this palette, it's probably my fave of the shadow ones this year. I'm not gonna get into color descriptions because the reviewers below did a great job, but I will say what I like /dislike for me (LLL NC20 Blonde hair, eyes). Really love Pearl of the Earth and Gingersoft. I wish they would make those in regular pots. Cinders is nice for a dirty plum look. Discovered Satin Taupe and love it, although it is similar to my Aveda Aura shadow. Not a fan of Gorgeous Gold, had it before and it's just too yellow for my skin tone. Also, I'm not into Tease-n-Teal, I'm just over the whole teal shadow look, it's so overdone as I mentioned in another review. But if you like it, it is a nice shade, just not for me. All in all, would definitly buy this one again and of course the packaging is so cute!

Eye Shadow -MAC - Moon's Reflection
rated 3 of 5
ledonatella 11/1/2005 1:18:00 PM

Pretty medium blue, not too light but not too dark, just a nice frosty blue. No real undertones apart from a touch of silver, it doesn't have a purple or green undertone which is nice. Unfortunetly, it looks awful on me! The formula (VP) is great, so smooth and wears like a dream, but I just can't wear it. If you are a fan of lues though, it is really a pretty one!

Palettes -MAC - Delights 6 Eye Warm Holiday 2005
rated 4 of 5
ledonatella 11/1/2005 1:14:00 PM

I'm not really going to get into color descriptions as the reviewers below did a great job, but I will tell you what works for me (LLL, NC20, blonde hair, brown eyes). I love love love Tendermetal and Buff-de-Buff, was very happy to discover Cranberry as I've always shied away from this color because of how red it is, but as long as it's blended well it looks pretty good on me. Blurr is a nice highlighter, although nothing unique, but works well with the rest of the group. I'm not fond of Embark as I already have it in another palette and I just don't ever use mattes. A Bluer Blue is a pretty teal, reminiscent of Parrot, but I'm just over the whole teal/blue shadow look. It's been way overdone and therefore I'm just not that into this color, but if you like it, it is very pretty. I would repurchase just because I like Tendermetal, Blurr, and Buff-de-buff so much and of course the palette is adorable!

Eyeliner -Pop Beauty - Glitter Stix
rated 4 of 5
ledonatella 10/31/2005 7:19:00 PM

I pretty much agree with what the last reviewer said. I have this in Freesia, which is a dark purple. The glitter stays pretty well and doesn't bother my contacts too much. It looiks nice over a black or grey liner too to add a little oomph. It smears a bit on my bottom lash line, though not as bad as alot of other products. Much nicer than any drugstore brand I have tried and it's pretty nicely priced ($8).

Lip Gloss -MAC - Adventurous
rated 5 of 5
ledonatella 10/26/2005 10:43:00 AM

This looks way better on me than Lovechild, I hate Lovechild. This has at least some gold irridescent undertones and is not so milky as L.C. It's like a cross between that and Star Nova lustreglass. It's a bit more sheer and just a really pretty color. On some people it may not be owrth it to have both if you like Lovecild, but to me it's so much better so I would definitly rebuy and plan on doing so!

Eye Shadow -MAC - Wishful
rated 4 of 5
ledonatella 10/26/2005 10:40:00 AM

Sorta a cross between Shroom and Naked Lunch. Less pinky than Naked Lunch but better than Shroom which looks awful on me. I am quite liking this, it's really a nice highlighter/base color. Nothing terribly unique but it's a base color so it's not supposed to be flashy and whatever. Shows up enough on me, whereas Naked Lunch pretty much is the same as my skin, and like I said I like it better than Shroom because that color just does nothing for me. This one at least I get some nice visible frost. Looks nice with Sesualize from the same collection. I don't know if I'd rebuy it since it's not awfully different from other brands shades but it's nice to have for now.

Lipstick -MAC - Treasures 3 Lip Cool Holiday 2005
rated 3 of 5
ledonatella 10/25/2005 11:48:00 PM

You know I love my MAC, but I was a bit disappointed in this. I love cool tones, pinks & berries, etc, but the only thng I really loved was Courting Rose and I already had that. It's nice to have a travel size though and the tube is real cute. Odyssey is way too dark purple on me (blonde hair, brown eyes, LLL NC20), I wish it was more berrish. Upluxe is a pale super frosty pink with a slight blue base. It's pretty but I just got Play it Soft in a swap (which was LE from earlier this year) and it's pretty similer. It's a nice color granted, but just not what I was hoping for. The bag is adorable though and the little brush is nice for travel too. But I will probably end up swapping most of it.

Lip Gloss -Cargo - North Pole Lip Quad
rated 4 of 5
ledonatella 10/24/2005 10:36:00 PM

I am really liking this quad, even though I feel $20-some dollers is a bit much for lipgloss (but hey, I'm the sucker who paid it!). There is a lght sheer pink with small shimmer, a sheer fuschia, a glimmery rose, and a deep berry (with glitter (similer to the dark color in Turramurra but more brown-berry on me). I really am impressed with the staying power, I put the dark one on and a few hours later I had a nice berry stain still showing, which is better than most super glossy sheer glosses. The light pink one is very light but still has enough pigment that I could see it on my LLL NC20 skin. It wasen't just clear, it had a hint of color. The fuschia is bright but sheer enough that it looks good and also is nice over lipstick. I haven't tried the med. rose color yet but will update when I do. These aren't anything really unique, but pretty none the less and it's nice to have them all in one pot. My only complaint is that they are so soft that when I put my brush in the dark color it made quite a dent. And I was being careful! I found Cargo glosses go on better with your fingers anyway, IMO.

Eye Shadow -MAC - Honesty Eyeshadow
rated 4 of 5
ledonatella 10/22/2005 10:54:00 PM

I like the way this looks on me, it shows up as a light bronzey/taupey wash. I wore it in the crease with Vex on the lid and Dazzlelight for a highlighter and was very pleased. Also like this with Romp or Tempting. Nice if you want a subtle bronzey tone but not so shiney bold like say Mythology.

Cleansers -Mario Badescu - Enzyme Cleansing Gel
rated 5 of 5
ledonatella 10/17/2005 12:09:00 PM

I really like this cleanser for my combo skin. It's hard to tell if it has done much for oiliness since ow it's October and my skin gets drier anyway, but it does seem to help with any kinda major breakouts and my skin feels very soft afterwards. I'm not someone who cares whether my cleanser foams or not, so that never bothered me. I also like that this lightly exfoliates without any rough scrubbies. Would definitly repurchase.

Blush -MAC - Bloomsberry and Tiger Lily Duo
rated 4 of 5
ledonatella 10/16/2005 12:39:00 PM

Doesn't do much as a highlighter/blush for me, it just shows up as clear frost and no color...but as an eyeshadow they are great! they last all day and are just gorgeous! I love the Bloomsberry side especially since MAC doesn't really have any great light lilac-y shadows, but this one is just perfect for me. And Tiger Lily is the prettiest pale bronze. Too bad it's LE cause I would definitly repurchase.
