This provides a nice, light green base with a bit of gold shimmer. I like to use it under some green shadows, such as Smashbox's Zoom and Serpent, and it also looks great under Wet N Wild's single in Envy. Since it provides a light lime shaded base, it really helps to brighten up any green. It's also great to use under certain browns, which will end up giving you a fabulous olive color...try it under Urban Decay's Smog. Like other NYX pencils, I always have to apply sparingly and use an eyeshadow primer like UDPP, otherwise these pencils crease horribly on me.

Eye Shadow -Maybelline - Stylish Smokes in Emerald Smokes

I've stayed away from Maybelline eye shadows for years because they were always so horrible...no pigmentation and so chalky. I heard good things about these stylish smokes quads and the fact that they reformulated their eyeshadows so I thought I would give this a try. I'm so happy I did. I really like these colors and they all give great color payoff and are easy to blend. The lid color is especially gorgeous - a great olive green that really brings out my brown eyes. I also really enjoy the highlight color, it's a nice ivory with a slight greenish undertone to really work well with the other colors in this palette. These four colors work great together and I haven't had any problems with creasing or fading as long as I wear UDPP underneath. Highly recommended.

Gels/Soaps -Ulta - 3in1 Shower Smoothie~ Gingerbread Cookie

YUM. I've recently become addicted to Ulta shower smoothies, and this is one of their really good scents. It's a spot on match for the scent of a gingerbread cookie with icing. I love using these as shower gels and they are a great deal since Ulta usually has BOGO sales on these. This is an excellent alternative to Philosophy's gingerbread man, and much cheaper!

Eye Primer -E.L.F. - Mineral Eyeshadow Primer

I was super curious to try this after reading great reviews and hearing it compares to UDPP. I finally caved in and ordered 4 online when ELF was having a half off minerals sale. Unfortunately, I'm not impressed. And this probably has a lot to do with the fact that I love UDPP and it's the only eye primer I've ever used. Overall, I think this is a decent primer especially for the price. But I experienced slight creasing after 7 or 8 hours and definite fading of color. I have neither of those problems with UDPP.

Eye Shadow -Physicians Formula - Eyebrightener, Natural Eyelight(powder)

This is a primarily white shadow with flecks of pink and other shades in it. I like to use this eye shadow as a simple wash over my lids on days that I don't want to look too made up. I feel like it does what it says it's supposed to do, which is to brighten my eyes, and I feel like I look more awake and refreshed. I would prefer for it to be a tad less frosty and the formula is a bit dusty, which are my only complaints.

I don't really have sensitive skin, but holy cow did this stuff wreak havoc on my face. The first time I used it I had the worst dry patches ever - flaky skin that took forever to go away even with a good moisturizer. I tried it again recently, using the smallest possible dab known to man and it still totally dried out my skin. It does seem to reduce the lifespan of a zit and shrinks it pretty quickly, but at the cost of red flaky skin. No thanks. I'd rather wait the pimple out than deal with that.

Treatments -Olay - Age Defying Daily Renewal Cream

Fabulous moisturizer. I use this every night and it has made my skin smoother and brighter. I was worried that the cream formula may feel too greasy on my skin, but it absorbs quickly and doesn't have a heavy greasy feel. In the mornings I like to use the Protective Renewal Lotion version of this, because it has SPF in it. That product is nice too, but I notice less exfoliation with it compared to this cream.

Eye Shadow -Urban Decay - Naked Palette

I've had this palette for a month but I wanted to wait and use this a while before I submitted my review. The main reason for my three lippie rating, which stands out from all the other glowing reviews, is that in a nutshell, I'm just not in love with the colors. And no, it's not because I don't like neutrals in general. I wear neutrals nearly every day as a working professional. I feel like I've given this palette a fair chance, creating day time and night time looks, and I've been incredibly underwhelmed. The biggest problem for me is that this is a very warm palette, and I feel like most of the shadows just make me look tired and muddy. In all honesty, I've wanted to reach for my Wet N Wild single in Nutty most mornings rather than this palette. Some of the colors that I do like are Darkhorse, Hustle, and Virgin. I had high hopes for Sidecar, which is one of the glittery shades, because it looks so beautiful in the pan, but on my skin, it barely shows up. I feel like if you are a person that generally tries to avoid warm toned shadows, this palette might not be for you. So like others have said...yes, the quality is excellent; yes, it's an awesome deal for the price. But, what good is any of that if you aren't really digging the colors?? Unfortunately, I've found this palette to be overhyped.

Styling Products -TRESemme - Tres Two Ultra Fine Mist Hairspray

I don't use hairspray that often, but I always like to have a can on hand for the few times I use it. This is one of my favorites - it offers a great flexible hold. Can't beat the price either.

Conditioner -Alberto Vo5 - Vanilla Mint conditioner

I'm surprised I haven't written a review on this yet because I love this stuff. I own both the shampoo and conditioner of this scent, and I have to say it's probably my favorite scent of any hair product ever. If you love vanilla, you probably love the twist of this scent. I don't use this conditioner every time I wash my hair, I actually use it as a second condition when my regular conditioner doesn't get all my tangles out. My hair gets extremely tangled, so I have to comb through it in the shower. I like to use a little bit of this after I use my regular conditioner, and it's so easy to run my comb through after that. I haven't noticed any buildup or any other bad effect from this - excellent and only around $1!!

Okay, so...3 years ago I tried the non-waterproof formula of this and I absolutely hated it and wrote a scathing review. Well, I was searching for a waterproof mascara that would be a bit easier to remove than my Maybelline Great Lash and all these good reviews on MUA finally got to me so I purchased this again. Well lo and behold, I actually like this. The waterproof formula makes a big difference. The regular version did not hold my curl at all, but this does. This mascara is nice because it doesn't clump and my lashes look natural but a bit more shiny and defined. My only complaint is that this seems to give more length than fullness, which isn't really what I wanted.

Eye Shadow -Smashbox - Celeb Sighting

I really like this trio of shadows. I use the matte light pink as a highlight, the peach with light shimmer as a lid shade, and the shimmery olive with grey undertones in the crease and outer corner. The shadows are very soft and blend wonderfully. I like to wear this to work because it's still pretty neutral without being boring. It creates a beautiful soft look.

Mascara -Maybelline - Great Lash Mascara Waterproof

My absolute HG mascara, hands down. I know Great Lash gets a lot of hate here on MUA, but for me it works perfectly. I have very long, stick straight lashes that I must curl every day. What I need in a mascara is to thicken, darken, and HOLD A CURL. I also don't want a lot of extra length added on. This mascara does all of those things perfectly for me. I love how thick this makes my lashes look and the waterproof formula doesn't uncurl my lashes. I'm done trying other mascaras because I'm always disappointed. If you have eyelashes like mine, I would highly recommend this.

Misc Beauty Tools -E.L.F. - Mechanical Eyelash Curler

This is a great eyelash curler and worth much more than its price. I own three of them to stash at work and in different handbags. Although my regular daily eyelash curler is the Shiseido one (which I also love), I still use this occasionally and I have to say I like it almost as much as my $17 Shiseido curler. I find the curl I can get with this is pretty effortless and looks very natural. I will definitely keep repurchasing!
