Lips -Neutrogena - MoistureShine Lip Sheer in Sunny Berry 25
iloveblush 4/29/2010 10:41:00 AM
One of my favorites! I'm NC 35 with yellow undertones and was looking for something kind of bright (I usually wear subtle peachy nudes) and this is perfect. Its kind of a sublte bright - it that makes any sense. The color is a berry/coral/peach which is not so bright that I wear it once in a while when I want to feel dressed up. Its sheer and not overly shiny. Overall a nice product. I haven't really noticed the drying effect others mention but then again my lips tend to be dry in general. A great color for ladies around my skin tone who are looking to venture into the world of brigther lip colors! Highly recommended.

Shampoo -Aussie - Moist Shampoo
iloveblush 2/16/2010 4:17:00 PM
This is a really moisturizing shampoo that doesn't weight hair down. I used to use shampoo and then conditioner (amount about the size of a lemon) for my long hair but since I switched to Aussie Moist, I don't even need conditioner anymore. I got a huge bottle for less than 8 bucks which will last forever! The only con to this product is the smell which isn't my favorite but at least it goes away quickly. Since using this shampoo, I let my hair air dry until its about 75% dry and then I blowdry. This way my hair feels very soft and yet I still get the positive effects of blow drying. Update: it was the pregnancy that was causing the great hair. This shampoo is fine but and get my hair clean but I wouldn't say its anything special.

Eye Shadow -Physicians Formula - Shimmer Strips - Brown Eyes
iloveblush 1/13/2010 11:44:00 AM
I got this on clearance for a couple of bucks but the regular price is quite high I think. Very little pigment - it hardly shows up and when they say shimmer, they mean shimmer! For the same or even lower price, WnW and Milani make much better ds eyeshadows.

Eye Shadow -L'Oreal - HiP Concentrated Duo - Foxy #808
iloveblush 1/8/2010 9:53:00 AM
I got this on clearance for a couple of bucks at CVS. The colors in this duo are very wearable and I had heard that these are highly pigmented. I was really excited about the pinky shade showing up on my - but it hardly does. Its very, very subtle. As everyone else noted, the brown side is very dark - if using as a shadow you have to use a light had (unless of course you're looking for super dramatic). I've been using the dark brown end as more of a eye liner and brow filler. I won't buy again and for a couple of bucks its worth it - I'm not sure I would have paid full price for it though.

Tinted Moisturizer -Kiehls - tinted moisturizer [DISCONTINUED]
iloveblush 11/20/2009 4:59:00 PM
I'm NC 35 with yellow undertones. I got several samples of the Medium - while the shade was right, the undertones were totally pink and so it doesn't work for me at all. I really had high hopes based on the great reviews but oh well! Also, a comment about the packaging - I get that their whole thing is that all their packaging is very utilitarian and plain but it would be nice if they spiced it up a bit.

Blush -Physicians Formula - Mineral Wear Talc-Free Blush in Blushing Glow
iloveblush 11/20/2009 4:56:00 PM
Its my everyday, go to blush. I'm NC35 with yellow undertones and I love the look this gives me - natural yet healthy and pretty. It also looks like you are glowing from inside. The color really goes with most things and its a perfect color for work. Its a bit expensive for a d/s blush (about $12 or $13) and my last one fell when I was halfway through the blush and it shattered all over the place so could not be rescued. Highly recommended! Update: its been a few months and I'm still very much in love with this.

BB Cream -Unlisted Brand - Legere - Water Drop Shiny Pearl BB cream
iloveblush 5/5/2009 5:01:00 PM
I had such high hopes! I wanted to get a BB cream and saw that this one was suited to someone with NC35 skintone. First, the liquid is very dark, more of an NC40 or even 45 and has a pinkish tint to it. Which I don't get as a lot of east Asians have yellow to their skin. Of all the problems I thought I might have with this, this particular one was unexpected. But, I also read in other reviews that once the foundation settles on your skin the color adjusts. So I mixed in a tiny bit of a yellow based, highly pigmented foundation and went to work. My other big complaint is that this has these little bits of glitter in it. NOT natural looking at all - and quite frankly, at 33 I can't run around with a face full of glitter without looking like a total idiot. Finally, the staying power isn't good at all. I would normally try using more but due to the glitter I can't really. So... a total waste of the $30 I paid buying this from eBay.

Shampoo -L'Oreal - Vive Pro Glossy Volume Shampoo
iloveblush 4/15/2009 10:31:00 PM
I think they must have misnamed this - they should have called it Greasy No-Volume. I've never been so disappointed with a shampoo - I mean, how bad can it be? Most just clean hair and don't add shine, volume or whatever else they claim to do. This doesn't even clean hair. As soon as I started using this, I had a series of bad hair days which magically stopped as soon as I stopped using the shampoo. Coincidence? Me thinks not!

Lips -Cover Girl - Outlast Lipstain - 435 Flirty Nude
iloveblush 4/7/2009 10:39:00 PM
I would agree with other reviewers- the color is not really nude. Its a pretty color on me though when lightly applied, a pinky/nudey/peachy bright color which brightens up my face without being garish. I really thought this would be the stain I've been looking for. But just like all others it settled into the cracks of my lips and looked AWFUL. Great color though. Went back to CVS.

Treatments -Palmers - Skin Success Eventone Fade Cream
iloveblush 3/18/2009 10:16:00 PM
HG alert - my very first! I have scars from acne I got about 5 years ago. The acne is gone (and really just appeared very suddenly at 24 and was pretty much totally gone by 26) but the scars remained. I tried everything to fade them. I've been using Differin gel for years and it helped lighten the scars a bit and then started using Vit E oil for the last 3 months or so which also helped lighten them. I've used Palmers Fade cream a couple of times (very thin layer) and then the other night really slathered it on and the next moring I woke up and I couldn't belive it - I want to say my scars were about 40% lighter. One night! I've been slathering it on the last couple of nights also and I think a week or so and they'll really be gone. FINALLY!

Lip Gloss -Wet 'n' Wild - Glassy Gloss (pot) Berry Bold
iloveblush 2/8/2009 1:20:00 PM
Its a great gloss and very cheap! As the other reviewer says for a gloss this cheap there's no funky smell or weird texture. It makes my lips a slightly darker shade than they are and adds a little bit of shine (which I like! too much shine makes me look like I just ate something greasy). Best of all i hydrates my dry lips. The pot situation isn't the best but...I went back looking for other shades but these are hard to find! Edited to add that after a while it dries on my lips and doesn't look so good but I didn't take any lippies off as I just put on another l/g or balm over it and that totally takes care of the problem.

Eye Shadow -Milani - Touch of Brown Quad
iloveblush 12/30/2008 7:21:00 PM
I've seen this at CVS so many times but no being much of an e/s girl, I never bought. I picked this up tonight for retail therapy purposes and I'm so glad I did! I love, love the colors - they are so glamorous! Perfect for my NC35 skin. Also, they are very pigmented, just like a H/E e/s. Edited to take one lippie off - lasting power is not the best.

Totally useless. But I've heard it worked for others. I went to the derm and cleared my adult acne.

I think this is such a great value - its a nice basic, cheap mascara. I've gotten quite a few compliments on my lashes with this on.
