Eye Shadow -MAC - Coppering (veluxe pearl)
dea2407 7/1/2010 9:57:00 AM
(0 - 5 points, 5 = excellent, 0 = very bad) pigmentation: 5 texture: 4 blendable: 3 colour-fast: 5 versatile: 2 staying power: 4 TOTAL POINTS: 23 of 30 = good Totally rocks for blue, green or brown eyes! But you have to use a very light hand here, because this is one of the most pigmented MAC colours I know, plus it's shimmery. I never use it all over my lid, only where I want an extra spot of colour. It's not at all neutral. I like it - but I can totally understand if some people only think *ewww* when they see Coppering. So you probably have to find out on your own here! ;)

Eye Shadow -MAC - Texture
dea2407 7/1/2010 9:44:00 AM
(0 - 5 points, 5 = excellent, 0 = very bad) pigmentation: 3 texture: 5 blendable?: 5 colour-fast: 4 versatile?: 5 staying power: 4 TOTAL POINTS: 26 of 30 = very good I had a very hard time to choose between this shade and Grain. But I'm totally satisfied with my choice. A very nice warm light-to-middle-brown. Very buildable, very soft and perfect for a neutral look. It totally rocks with my green eyes! Will buy again and again and again...

Eye Shadow -MAC - Mulch eyeshadow
dea2407 7/1/2010 9:38:00 AM
(0 - 5 points, 5 = excellent, 0 = very bad) pigmentation: 4 texture: 4 blendable?: 4 colour-fast: 3 versatile?: 4 staying power: 5 TOTAL POINTS: 24 of 30 = good This is a very special colour for me. A mixture of bronze and brown with gold and (in my opinion) even some olive undertones. And this is what I like so much about it. It looks great with my green eyes. I also like to play with it and I'm often suprised how other colours suddenly look when they are applied over or underneath Mulch. My con is, that for some looks, the colour is a little too special for me. It's also very shimmery and not everyone will like that. So I wouldn't say it's an every-day colour necessarily. There are lots of other browns and bronzes for that.

Eye Shadow -MAC - Nylon
dea2407 7/1/2010 9:19:00 AM
(0 - 5 points, 5 = excellent, 0 = very bad) pigmentation: 4 texture: 5 blendable?: 5 colour-fast: 4 versatile?: 4 staying power: 3 TOTAL POINTS: 25 of 30 = very good First suprise: Very pigmented for a light colour! As others have described it, it's a mixture of pale gold and light yellow untertones. I have been at a MAC store for so many times, but I hadn't even looked at Nylon before... I think it's kind of unimpressive until you grab it and take a swatch. I'm glad I did! :) I have used this as under my eyebrows or in the inner corner so many times now! Especially when I wear bronze or warm brown colours.

Blush -MAC - Shell Cream Colour Base
dea2407 6/22/2010 9:59:00 AM
I love cream colour bases! They are sooo easy to apply (I use my fingers or a stiff brush). I use them instead of blush, as a base for blush or as highlighters. The colour Shell is my second favourite one after Hush. They are both frost-finish, but Shell has more glitter in it than Hush - a little too much for my taste! But this is the only con I can mention. Great consistency, nice light colour pay-off on my pale skin. With one of these as a base, your blush will last hours longer!!!

Primer/ Corrector -Smashbox - Photo Finish Light
dea2407 6/22/2010 9:48:00 AM
This is the first make-up primer I have ever used and it's a total WOW-product for me!!! I have an oily, shiny t-zone where make-up never lasts longer than 5 hours. With this primer it lasts about 4-5 hours longer - really! I mean, it's not like freshly applied after 10 hours, but it's still noticeable for me that I have put on make-up and there is no redness or much shine. I admit, the price is very high and it made me hesitate before I bought it. But as I only use primer for special occations, I think one bottle will last for 6 month at least.

Cleansers -Origins - Checks and Balances
dea2407 5/11/2010 9:44:00 AM
This is described as a "frothy face wash" for combination skin. It contains ingredients that prevent oily skin and moisture dry parts of skin at the same time. And well, that's what it does! You need only a small amount to get a really smoothy foam on your face. The oilyness on my T-zone is gone afterwards and my cheeks don't feel dry. I can only tell about two little cons: The price is quite high, even if the product is very effective. My skin feels like I used a normal soap immediately afterwards, it's "squeaky-clean" If you know what I mean - what I don't like! But this feeling doesn't even last a minute, so it's ok. All in all I really like and recommend Checks and Balances, because cleansers for combination skin are rare in my opinion and this is really a good one.

Scrubs -Origins - Never A Dull Moment Skin Brightening Facial Polisher
dea2407 5/11/2010 9:24:00 AM
A beauty-expert told me to use a srub with fruit enzymes weekly! This is why I chose this product. You just need a small amount, that makes the price a little more tolerable. I also use it for my neck and decollete in the shower sometimes. My skin feels very smooth and soft afterwards and looks refreshed and radiant. Only 4 of 5 lippies, because the price is still high - even if the product is very efficient. But all in all I'm very, very satisfied - the best scrub for the face I've tried so far.

Highlighters -MAC - Cream Colour Base in Hush
dea2407 5/11/2010 6:05:00 AM
I can only agree with all the other ones that gave 5 lippies! Multiple use product, lasts for hours and hours, best base for powder blush ever - and all that without being too glittery or irritating my combination skin. *wow* I will def. buy other cream colour bases too!!!

Treatments -Clinique - Turnaround Concentrate [DISCONTINUED]
dea2407 4/13/2010 7:27:00 AM
I have been using this for 3 month now (morning and evening) and these are the results: My skin is smoother and softer, pimples don't get that big and definetly heal faster. Sometimes I can even see the little flakes of skin that peel off, so I'm satisfied with the "turnaround" effect. It didn't do wonders to my old acne scars - but I didn't expect that anyway. I have only used up half a bottle in three month, so it's really efficient and the high price doesn't hurt that much. The pump bottle may be good to get the right amount of product but I don't like that this will make it difficult to get out all the product once the bottle is nearly empty. I don't like to waste product in that price class! I also don't like that the writing goes off - so the packaging quality could be better. But I will buy again!

Lipstick -Chanel - Rouge Coco in Ruban Rose
dea2407 4/6/2010 9:58:00 AM
(0 - 5 points, 5 = excellent, 0 = very bad) pigmentation: 4 texture: 4 feeling: 5 colour-fast: 4 versatile?: 4 staying power: 3 TOTAL POINTS: 24 of 30 = good I hardly use lipstick - but I love this one! Ruban Rose is one of the pink shades. I would describe it as a mixture of a darker pink, with some warm red and brown undertones and a light golden shimmer. I'm very fair skinned and it adds just the right amount of colour to my lips without looking dramatic. It does moisture very nicely and it's easy to apply - would even work without a mirror, if you're just looking for a natural look. The lipstick itself looks sooo chic - Chanel has invested a lot of research into the product presentation! I read, that they even tested out the perfect "click" when you close the lipstick!!! Amazing... This lipstick was invented for "the generation gloss" - to show them that a lipstick can be as easy and modern. Well done, Chanel! ;)

Fragrances -Gucci - Flora by Gucci EDT
dea2407 4/6/2010 9:28:00 AM
My favourite flowery scent ever! It was love at first side! If you like flowery scents, definetly try this one. My tip: Always take your time if you buy a perfume! Try it and decide to buy it or not on the next day or at least an hour later. Spray it on your skin or your hair (not on your clothes or anything else!) and smell again and again some time later. If you are not 100% sure that you like it - don't buy it! "Not bad" is not enough here! Nothing's as personal as the scent you wear... (Sorry for that - but I think perfumes are too expensive and too much part of your personal character to just "grab and buy one".)

Blush -MAC - Blush Ombre -Azalea Blossom
dea2407 4/6/2010 9:13:00 AM
(0 - 5 points, 5 = excellent, 0 = very bad) pigmentation: 4 texture: 5 blendable?: 5 colour-fast: 4 versatile?: 4 staying power: 3 TOTAL POINTS: 25 of 30 = very good The perfect cool toned pink blush for fair skinned ladies!!! Yes, it is pricey - but it's bigger than a normal MAC blush and you get three colours in one (the pink, the lavender and the mixture of both). It looks so gorgeous on my cheeks, I always feel fresher and more beautiful. It's my go to pink blush!

Polishes -Essie - Pearly White
dea2407 4/6/2010 9:04:00 AM
(0 - 5 points, 5 = excellent, 0 = very bad) covering power (after two coats): 4 easy application? (texture): 5 smooth application? (streaks?): 2 versatile?: 5 colour-fast: 4 staying power: 3 TOTAL POINTS: 23 of 30 = good First of all: I love the colour! It is a pearly, see-through, calm white. It's natural but still glamorous and goes with every styling! Pros: easy application, fast drying, very good quality Con: You get streaks if you're not careful! 1 layer doesn't last longer than one day without splitting (Sometimes I like to apply just one layer of a natural colour, when I'm in a hurry. I know, hardly any nailpolish would last longer with just one layer..)

Lipstick -MAC - Viva Glam Gaga
dea2407 3/8/2010 3:06:00 AM
(0 - 5 points, 5 = excellent, 0 = very bad) pigmentation: 3 texture: 5 feeling on the lips: 5 colour-fast: 4 versatile?: 5 staying power: 2 TOTAL POINTS: 24 of 30 = good *wow* This is my first MAC lipstick... My lips are very thin, so I do not often wear lipstick - because it never stands out on my face. So if I wear lipstick, I like to stick with natural, nude or light colours. This is why I looove Viva Glam Gaga!!! The colour is a light, wearable pink if you apply one coat - of course you can make it more bright with another one or two layers. This works perfect for my pale skintone colour.
