This is the best product I have found to attack an acne outbreak. I also all my life have had oral herpes syndrome (on my lips, not the other kind !!!) and I have this product will keep a cold sore from coming out if I apply it during an outbreak. I'm never without a tube.
Eye Makeup Remover -Mary Kay - Oil Free Eye Makeup Remover

This is the best eye makeup remover I have ever used. I cannot give it enough kudos. Works dynamite on regular mascara and waterproof removal, eye liner and shadow. The only items I use in the MK line are this and the acne cream. I wish they sold MK online, its a drag to have to seek out a sales rep. just to buy these 2 products once a year (they last that long)
Cleansers -L'Oreal - Hydrafresh cleanser for normal to dry skin
cherrytruffle 6/8/2003 1:15:00 AM
I used this stuff for many years and it was always very good to my skin. I believe they have stopped making it as I can no longer find it anywhere. I have tried other L'Oreal products and they don't work as well with my skin so now they have forced me to switch brands. It really angers me when companies do this, several things I have used over the years by various companies have been discontinued. I don't think its because they don't sell well, they just want to get something new out on the market so they reduce thier line inventory. It's BS if you ask me.
Good inexpensive, good quality loose powder.
Skincare - Face -L'Occitane - Olive Harvest Face Scrub Mud

Good all around exfoliating scrub. Smells great and makes your skin feel soooooo soft.
Skincare - Face -L'Occitane - Olive Oil Daily Face Cream
cherrytruffle 6/8/2003 1:06:00 AM
Good nourishing daily face cream. I could be stolen away by a better product though as I believe this is just a staple moisturizer and I know that there is better out there. I can't berate it ,but I can't rave it up either. It goes on smooth, goes in quickly and causes no break outs.
Moisturizers -L'Occitane - Honey Face Cream [DISCONTINUED]
cherrytruffle 6/8/2003 1:02:00 AM
I was a little disappointed in this product, but its probably just my sensitivity. I love the smell and texture of this cream but it did case my some break out and itching. I found Jafra Royal Jelly did the same thing so I may be sensitive to bee products. The L'Occitane line of products is great and I love the Olive Oil Daily Cream. Just for me the Honey did not work.
I like the cleaning effect of this soap on my face, however, the melting away of the bar and the mess it causes ( I keep it in a soap holder case) will make me not repurchase this product. It would be great if the could make this into a cream type cleanser in a bottle. What a mess ! Such a mess that I threw the bar out at the half way point.
Treatments -John Frieda - Bleach Blonde - Sun Streaks

I wanted to use this product for root touch ups between hightlight treatments, but found it did not work very well. Very similar to Sun In.
Shampoo -John Frieda - Sheer Blonde Highlighting Shampoo
cherrytruffle 6/8/2003 12:55:00 AM
I think its more a pyschological benefit for a blonde to use this then an actual working product. I also found it does weigh my hair down after using it a couple days and it really does not do much for highlighs. Mostly hype I'm afraid.
ALWAYS at the top of my fragrance list. Clean, fresh, captivating.
I fell in love with this scent while shopping when I smelled it on a sample card the salesgal was passing out. I stuck the card in the back pocket of my jeans, and every couple days pulled it out to take a whif and bacame obsessed, I had to have it !! When I got it home and wore it, well, it just seemed like I had been in dream prior and woke and siad," What was I thinking...!" It does not smell as good on me as it did on that littel card. I get lots of compliments when I wear it, and its not that I can't stand it mind you, but its just not me...so when I'm out I'll go back to my old favorite..Eternity.
Moisturizers -Philosophy - Hope in a Jar - for all skin types

Shame on me, I feel for the hype on this product too! You know the smell IS the worst, but if the product worked miracles as is promised one could stand the smell, but it doesn't. Actually it caused some break out on my face. I don't use it on my face anymore but I can't bring myself to throw it out after spending that much $ on it, so I just occasionally use it on my neck. What a waste on $.
For what you get its no worth the big bucks. It also tends to dry your skin a little. Does give skin a soft feeling. But all in all if I'm going to spend big bucks on a powder I want one that gives more results. I'll stick with Prescriptives Magic.
Eye Shadow -Bare Escentuals - Loose Powder Eyeshadow

The messiness of applying these eye shawdow and glimmers is a total drawback for me. Its time consuming and messy. If you put a little too much on your brush it falls on your face or eye lashes. You have to apply multiple layers to get the depth of color you want. It would be much better if it was made in a cake like most others shawdows. Its just not worth the HASSLE of applying for me to continue use.
