Treatments (Eye) -La Prairie - Eye Luminescent Veil

I split purchased a jar of this with my friend on ebay so it worked out pretty cheap. This has a nice fluffy texture which I apply on top of my eye cream but underneath my concealer. I have pretty bad dark circles and this doesnt do much apart from slighlty brightening up my undereye area but this does make my concealer glide on soo smoothly! Love it

Moisturizers -La Prairie - Skin Caviar Luxe Cream for face
rated 3 of 5

At $AU540 a pop, I had high expectations for this product, unfortunately I was disappointed with what I got. No doubt it has a lovely texture and absorbs in super fast, but I can feel that there's a lot of silicone in this product (I dont like that in a moisturizer). I'm only 19 with dehydrated combination skin and while this didn't break me out, I found it wasnt moisturizing enough. I still woke up the next morning with a few areas of my face feeling dry (a dab of my much cheaper Chanel Hydramax+ cream fixed it in an instant). The scent is waay overpowering, I stepped out of the bathroom and my mother who was at least 3 feet away could immediately smell my face. In a sense I'm glad I don't really like this because if I did, they'd be trouble for my wallet

Treatments -La Prairie - Vitamin C Serum [DISCONTINUED]

I honestly cannot decide if this product works for me or not. I receieved a generous sized sample from the counter a few months ago and have been using it consistently since. My skin does appear to me smoother and have a more even texture.. but I've also been testing out a heap of other new products so it might not be this. What I can say is that it hasnt affected my skin adversly (no breakouts, no iritation) so that's a good start. AU$280 for a 30mL airless pump bottle.

Scrubs -BeneFit Cosmetics - Honey Snap Out of It Face Scrub
rated 4 of 5
PradaPrincess 8/7/2004 12:04:00 AM

First thing's first, I cannot stand how this smells, horrible! But still it is a ncie product, an effective yet gentle scrub which leaves my skin very soft.. but I don't think I could ever purchase this because the smell is a big put off. I have to say the price is pretty good though, $AU36 for 150mL (you usually only get half that quantity for something double that price with other brands)

Blush -BeneFit Cosmetics - Dandelion
rated 5 of 5

I put off getting this for so long but in the end took the plunge and I don't regret it at all. I am a brown hair, brown eyes FFF with yellow undertones and this instantly brightens up my complexion. I either use this all over my face or just on my cheeks as a blush. The brush is pretty useless though so I threw it out and I just either use my powder or blush brush with it. RRP $AU48 in Australia

I have used this as a blush brush (sometimes as a powder brush too) over a year or so now and it's excellent quality. Hasnt shed at all over the time I have had it and it's super soft and deposits color very evenly.

Lip Gloss -BeneFit Cosmetics - The Gloss
rated 5 of 5

New Page 1

The Gloss is BeneFit's revamped Lipgloss range (just released in June 04). There's a total of 12 shades (2 of which were from the old Gloss range, Kiss Me and Crystal). Creamy consistency, really comfortable and moisturizing to wear, nice glossy finish. I have streakin' which is a very lovely YLBB nude (pic in profile). Other gorgeous shades to check out are no peeking (which is a very pretty natural pink) and wooo... (which is very similar to Chanel's high coveted Pin Up Glossimer), and Wink is another favourite. I have a scan of the page from the brochure in my profile for anyone interested.

At just $AU28 each (5.2g/0.18oz), I think they're really reasonably priced.

Moisturizers -Revive - Ré Vive Sensitif Cellular Repair Cream
rated 4 of 5
PradaPrincess 7/21/2004 9:51:00 PM

I received a sample sachet of this to try out and I do think it's quite a lovely moisturizer+sunscreen for my dehydrated combination skin. I havent really noticed any major differences (with their EGF claims and that). The SPF is a factor 15, broad spectrum with active ingredient avobenzone. Unfortunately I have taken a lippie off because I don't believe the price is justified, plus SPF15 is quite disappointing and many say avobenzone is not photostabilized.

Moisturizers -Chanel - Hydramax + Moisture Boost Cream [DISCONTINUED]
rated 5 of 5
PradaPrincess 7/20/2004 10:01:00 PM

This is great but I honestly don't see any difference between this product and the originel Hydramax Creme (maybe just one difference, the packaging is in a frosted jar and the cream is a pale blue tint, as compared to pale pink). This moisturizes my dehydrated combination skin just as well as Hydramax cream so I don't see any point in typing out my review again, if you want to read it just look up the other one ;) Bit more expensive though, $AU85/50mL jar (as compared to $78 for the other)

Eyeliner -Chanel - Automatic Liquid Eyeliner
rated 5 of 5
PradaPrincess 7/14/2004 1:40:00 AM

I bought this in 10 Noir-Black today and I am very happy with it. Has a fine felt tip brush and it's really easy to use I find. Stays on all day with no smudging or fading. Pity this can't be refillable like the Shu Liquid Liner (also in a pen applicator). Retails for $AU44.

#3 Champagne is a really natural shade which matches my skintone well and so I like to use this as an all over product on my no makeup days.

Lip Gloss -Yves Saint Laurent - Baume D'Ete Tinted Lip Balm - #1
rated 5 of 5
PradaPrincess 7/10/2004 12:10:00 AM

#1 is Sparkling Praline and it has a sort of darkish brown color in the tube but when applied, it turns into a beautifully sheer YLBB color with subtle shimmers. I find these quite moisturizing and they have a slightly glossy finish too (which is non-sticky). Retails for $AU42 for a 15mL tube. Oh and the scent, a light fruity smell, kind of like melon, apple, mango-ish

Lip Treatments -Yves Saint Laurent - Baume nourrissant levres et ongles / moisturizing lip and nail balm
rated 5 of 5
PradaPrincess 7/10/2004 12:06:00 AM

I have dry lips and am always on the lookout for new lipbalms and this one is terrific! Has an apricot tint in the tube but when applied it is a slightly glossy clear color. It moisturizes really well, isnt sticky and it smells amazing! Just like mango. Comes in your typical lipgloss tube packaging (with slant tip applicator but this one has a gold lid). I usually apply with my fingers and rub the excess into my cuticles. RRP $AU42 for 15mL

Cleansers -Christian Dior - Softening Cleansing Milk

Much too heavily fragranced and fluid for my liking. I prefer creamier cleansing milks instead.
