Lip Gloss -New York Color - extreme lip glider lip gloss [DISCONTINUED]

Again, I have to disagree with the high reviews for this product. I tried Park Avenue Pink which is this gorgeous looking cool toned pink in the tube - however on the lips it is straight up clear. No color whatsoever. So disappointing! Even though it was cheap, I returned it to my drugstore because I knew I would never use it.
Blush -New York Color - Blushable Creme Stick [DISCONTINUED]

Wow - I do not understand the good reviews for this product. Maybe it was the color I tried (South Street Seashell) which was pretty but wore off in literally minutes. I saw this suggested in "Glamour" magazine as one of their "Miracles Under $5" so I had to try it. Sorely disappointed.
Conditioner -Neutrogena - triple moisture deep recovery hair mask

I've bought this conditioner over and over. As someone with fine, wavy hair who loves to experiment with color and highlights, my hair needs lots of TLC. Just one application of this turns your hair into absolute silk. I will say that if you want to do a hairstyle with lots of volume, do not use this beforehand because it does weigh down a bit, but if you're going for silky, then this is for you!
Blush -Maybelline - Dream Mousse Blush in Peach Satin ] ] [DISCONTINUED]

Ok, so I bought this once before in a different color and hated it. And then I realized why - I applied it with my fingers and always got an uneven application. Now I use a Coastal Scents stippling brush to apply it and love it! I apply it lightly to the apples of my cheeks after contouring and then apply a powder blush on top to set it for the day. For $6 at Target, I'm glad I gave this another shot and will most likely repurchase.
Eye Primer -Too Faced - Shadow Insurance, Anti-Crease Eye Shadow Primer
PolkaDotGlam 5/24/2010 11:03:00 AM
What a great primer! It made my eyes look perfect through a 16 hour day of heat and humidity. I like to apply some on my lower lid too so the liner doesn't budge. I also like the tube better the UD's Primer Potion because you can get every bit out of there. It's a little expensive, but a tiny bit goes a long way and the tube will last a long time.
I'll admit I'm 32 years old and store my make-up in a pink caboodle. It's my second one (first one was black and fuschia) and the teenager in me will always love it. I also have a small travel size Caboodle in purple.
This product does what it says it's going to do - it fattens and plumps the lashes really well. However, it's super fuzzy and if you're not careful can get in your eyes and be irritating.
Eye Makeup Remover -Almay - Non-Oily Eye Makeup Remover Pads
PolkaDotGlam 5/14/2010 11:05:00 AM
I must have bought a dozen of these in my make-up wearing years. They are easy, convenient and take non-waterproof eyemake-up off beautifully. Sometimes they can dry out a bit but there are two solutions to that: #1. store the container upside down and #2. if you get a dry-ish pad, just add a drop or two of water to it and it works beautifully.
Concealers -L'Oreal - True Match Naturale Mineral Concealer
PolkaDotGlam 5/14/2010 11:03:00 AM
This is a great concealer that covers redness, undereye circles and blemishes. I gave it a 4 because the packaging is horrid. I have to tap a bunch of the powder into an old Bare Minerals concealer jar and use it with a BM concealer brush. The brush it comes with is utterly useless.
Moisturizers -Philosophy - Hope in a Jar - for all skin types
PolkaDotGlam 5/14/2010 11:00:00 AM
I love the smoothness this gives my skin, but I can't ever buy consecutive jar after jar. Over the years, I'll buy/use a jar and then wait a year and then buy another one - not sure why. I just like trying new things but do usually come back to this. The next one I buy will be my 4th.
Expensive. Doesn't do anything. Gloss doesn't even last. Tastes awful. Irritating sting.
This is cloyingly sweet and overpowering - and I usually like sweet smelling fragrances.
LORAC's Illuminance is so much better - it blends better and lasts all day. High Beam goes on sort of plastic-y - I'm not sure how else to explain it. Not worth the money.
I've repurchased this several times. I don't use it daily - maybe twice a week and only at night when cell turnover is at its highest. This cleanser really smooths my skin.
I think this is too harsh an exfoliator for my face, but I do use it on my legs/body every other day or so. I have a tube of it I use for travel otherwise at home I use regular sugar (I buy a 5lb bag) as my body exfoliator - this works out much cheaper.
