I feel very conflicted about this product. The color was absolutely beautiful. I loved the sparkles and the rose color. I wish it were a tad darker, but still, it was lovely. I found the application quite easy. I did my nails at night. By the middle of the next day, the nail polish had chipped quite badly. I'm fairly new to nail polish. I'm just learning how to paint my nails. Still, I used what many consider a very good base coat (Orly Bonder) and top coat. I also don't really work with my hands. I should have been able to go one day without significant chipping.
I really like the color of this. It's a nice gold with a copper tint to it. I thought it applied pretty well. It's not very streaky, which is good. Two coats was plenty. Considering that my application skills aren't that good, I ended up with a nice manicure when I used this.
I like the concealer itself. I find that used over eye cream (also BB) it goes on smoothly and lasts all day. It comes in a variety of colors and Honey is perfect for me. I don't like the powder. You have to be very careful when applying it, because it can get cakey. One morning I actually had to start over and wipe it off because the powder looked so bad. I set my whole face with powder daily, I don't need a seperate powder for under my eyes. I bought this at Sephora. I didn't realize that Bobbi Brown counters and online sell the concealer by itself. In hindsight, I wish I had bought just the concealer.
Lip Treatments -Smith's Rosebud Salve - Smith's Rosebud Salve

I'm a sucker for vintage looking products. I love the tin packaging. It smells like something from back in the day, but not really like roses. The smell is pretty light and fades quickly. When using this on your lips, use it sparingly. Otherwise, you risk getting the unattractive white line where your lips meet. I also like to use this on my elbows and cuticles. It really helps with the dryness. I love that it's made in the USA.
This is very nice mascara. It's really dark and plumps up lashes nicely. I didn't notice any real problems with clumping. I did comb my lashes because I wanted that flirty feathery look. I took off on lippie because I did notice some smudging under my eyes. I believe pictures are very useful when it comes to mascara reviews, so I'll add one very soon.
I like how this polish applies. It is nice and smooth and not streaky. I wasn't a fan of the color. It's a medium plummy brown with a suble shimmer. I did notice quite a bit of chipping by the third day of wear. Since I'm new to polish, I don't know if this is normal. For $14, I would think it would wear a little better.
This isn't nude in a traditional sense. It's kind of a brownish dark pink that is almost red. I know that sounds strange, but that's the best way I can describe the color. Although it isn't the way one usually thinks about nude, I think the color is very versatile and will work with a lot of different skin tones. I think it's also a color that will work with many differenet colored clothes.
Bobbi Brown makes the best lipstick that I've ever tried. To be fair, I haven't tried a lot of different HE brands. I find that Bobbi Brown makes lipstick that is well pigmented and lasts long. Since I found this brand, I haven't found a need to look for other lipstick. I put it on in the morning and I'm good until lunch. After I eat lunch, I touchup and that will last the whole day (or until I eat again). Even eating doesn't take all of the lipstick off.
Eyeliner -Too Faced - Perfect Eyes Waterproof Eyeliner
NYCBeauty99 11/29/2012 10:12:00 PM
I think this is a very good eyeliner. It might be one of the longest lasting pencils that I've ever used. I have the color Perfect Moss. It's a very pretty olive green with some sheen to it. Overall, it's a very nice pencil.
Makeup Brushes -Sephora - Pro Platinum Collection - Cream Eyeshadow Brush #25
NYCBeauty99 11/28/2012 7:05:00 PM
Overall, I think this brush does what is is supossed to do. It applies cream shadows better than a concealer brush. I personally don't use cream shadow that often, so the brush doesn't get used that often. I got this on sale, since the platinum line has been discontinued. I got it for $9. I don't know what the original price was. However, it is $9 well spent.
Makeup Brushes -Sephora - Pro Dome Crease Brush # 16
NYCBeauty99 11/28/2012 6:45:00 PM
This is a nice crease brush. It is made out of natural hairs. Be careful when using this on very pigmented shadows. Since this is a very dense brush, it depostis a lot of color. I think the shape itself is great for the crease of your eye though. As with all of this fairly new line, I think the brush is beautiful. I love the black shiny handle. I have a love-hate relationship with Sephora. Still, overall I think they did a nice job with this line of brushes. They are priced well and good quality.
When it comes to quality, Bobbi Brown makes very nice lipsticks. They wear like no other that I've tried. They are worth the price in my opinion.
I bought this online, sight unseen. I didn't really need it. I already have Brownie Pink, which is very close to Brownie only slightly lighter. Both colors are brownish pink. I actually prefer Brownie Pink. However, I believe Brownie Pink has been discontinued, so I decided to keep Brownie and alternate between the two shades.
Eyeliner -Bobbi Brown - Long Wear Eye Pencil - Black Plum
NYCBeauty99 11/27/2012 6:41:00 PM
I think that this is a very nice pencil. I love the purple color and it wore very well. As I'm writing this, I've had it on for about 12 hours. There has been minor fading on the upper lash line (I have hooded eyes) and there is still a lot on my lower lash line. The only negative is that it really wouldn't smudge, even when freshly applied.
The sharpener that comes with it works fine, but it is not needed. I say ditch the sharpener and knock a few bucks off the price. It's quite expensive for a fairly basic pencil.
Polishes -L'Oreal - Color Riche Nail, Charmed, I'm Sure
NYCBeauty99 11/26/2012 5:45:00 PM
I like the color a lot. I agree that it looks different depending on the lighting. Sometimes it looks very silvery and other times almost gold. I think it would be considered a metallic taupe.
Edit: I have come to realize that L'oreal does not make good nail polish. They often apply streaky and too sheer. I thought it was my limited polishing skills. After trying different brands, I realized the problem is with this polish, not me.
Eye Makeup Remover -Unlisted Brand - Andrea Eye Q's - Makeup Remover Pads
NYCBeauty99 11/24/2012 2:51:00 PM
I got these because my local drugstore was out of the Almay Moisturizing Eye Makeup Remover Pads. Both products are very oily, which I like. I don't see the big deal about these being oily. The oil breaks down the makeup very fast. I'm going to wash my face anyway, so the oil is only there for a minute. For those who complain that this is oily, did you read the ingredients? The 3 of the 4 ingredients are oil.
What I like about these are that the pads are nice and soft. I may like these even better than the Almay pads.
Mascara -Bobbi Brown - Lash Glamour Extreme Lengthening Mascara
NYCBeauty99 11/23/2012 8:39:00 PM
This might be the best mascara I ever tried. I wasn't expecting that from BB. Still, this lengthens like nobody's business. And the color is extremely dark. I think I've found the one. I never thought anything would replace Million Lashes by L'oreal.
