Bronzers -Sally Hansen - Natural Beauty inspired by Carmindy Sun Glow Powder Bronzer in Spring
rated 5 of 5
Hothead 6/16/2011 7:32:00 PM

as much as I like bronzers or find them necessary for those times when I don't want to look THIS pale.. I usually gravitate to the HE lines for them. I found this at CVS -- for $ 4.75 and figured that no harm would come from spending this small fortune.. and LO! I found an HG item.. it makes my paleness come to life with some contour, no orange and a bit of a glow (notice I said glow not shimmer or shine). I love it and will go back and hunt down another!

Lipstick -Chanel - Delicieuse 80 Rouge Allure
rated 5 of 5
Hothead 6/12/2011 10:36:00 AM

I selected no for repurchase because my stash of peach/coral lipsticks is ginormous. this is a soft peachy shade which looks best when worn with pink blush.. lol. the reason for this is that it is pale and has a slight frost -- not overly so, but just enough. If it is worn with a peach blush the look is monochrome which is fine for clothing but gets boring on the face. try this colour and you will love it's neutral peachiness on your lips.. with RA quality.

do you want mlbb colour? do you want a gel type finish with some shine? wearability? this is it!! the colour that I can use everyday, any day or night and it gives me plump lips with some incredible low wattage gloss and the perfect mlbb colour.. it's almost like wearing the inside of your lips outside..lol. love this colour and texture -- it lasts longer than Chanel.

Blush -MAC - Wonder Woman blush in Mighty Aphrodite
rated 5 of 5
Hothead 6/6/2011 11:47:00 AM

I selected that I would buy again, but this product although it is not technically discontinued is gone.. sold out. I hate MAC for doing this every collection the best items are sold out and get sold to insiders who can buy 6-8 pieces per customer.. thus leaving everyone else in the lurch. forget trying to swatch, there was no time... forget thinking, there was no time. These were selling like tomorrow was the End of the world. and so, I did get mine and it is a gorgeous corally pink but with punch colour and texture.. but the way MAC is marketing is enough to make anyone mad enough to not even want to look at their collections.

Lipstick -MAC - Lipstick in Hibiscus
rated 5 of 5
Hothead 6/4/2011 3:24:00 PM

this time the hypers were right! what a gorgeous orange/coral shade with teeny tiny gold in it.. it makes lips look luscious and works well on any skintone. my red hair loves it and I am considering backing this up. packaging this summer for MAC's summer collection was iffy at best.

Blush -BeneFit Cosmetics - Dandelion
rated 5 of 5
Hothead 6/4/2011 3:18:00 PM

I don't like the packaging as it's bulky when travelling.. but that said, there is nothing not to like in this gorgeous peachy pink blush.. it is smooth, not chalky and the application is delicate.. no buffing like mad on the clowny cheeks. The pigmentation is just right so the colour applies beautifully. love it and will keep repurchasing.

Blush -MAC - My Paradise
rated 3 of 5
Hothead 6/4/2011 9:36:00 AM

I know this sold out almost immediately online.. but that only proves that there is a sucker born every minute. sadly this swatched unevenly and is as noted by the prior reviewer, a bit chalky. MAC has much better in their perm line.. and this does not beat the last year's summer collection blusher.. that was stunning. this is just ok, and not worth the money or the aggravation to get it.

Liquid -Chanel - Le Blanc De Chanel Sheer Illuminating Base
rated 5 of 5
Hothead 6/3/2011 10:35:00 AM

I agree with the previous review ref the packaging.. it sucks because it is heavy glass, has no pump and this makes getting the product out much more difficult and unhygenic. If you go down to the bottom, you have to store it on it's cap to get it to flow more easily. that said, the actual product is fabulous and gives you a radiant lighter effect for the face -- note, I don't think this is for someone who wants to look darker or bronzed. This is for the fair white lilly complexion and touch of pink or peach blush.. not for sporty looking bronzed/tan gals. but it is such an awesome product I just bought a refill.. lol.

Cleansers -Clarins - Gentle Foaming Cleanser with Cottonseed for Normal or Combination Skin
rated 5 of 5
Hothead 6/2/2011 2:42:00 PM

I am a bit paranoid about changes so when I bought one of these cleansers in it's revised version and tried it, I went back and bought my second one. I have enough to last ma a year but sincerely hope that Clarins does not change the formula as it is perfection in a tube. sudsy but smelling clean and sweet.. leaves no traces of oil, dirt, mu, eyemakeup anything on your face and yet keeps your skin supple and soft.. If I could find a man as perfect as this cleanser I would marry him.. lol. honestly -- do yourselves a favour and try this product to have an immaculately clean face.

Eye Primer -NARS - Pro-Prime Smudge Proof Eyeshadow Base
rated 5 of 5
Hothead 6/2/2011 2:36:00 PM

I did not realize this has not been reviewed but if it has, I will add to it. I have come from UDPP, TSI, Givenchy, Chanel and a few others... including cheapos like L'Oreal which was a total waste of money and effort. UDPP is good, as is TSI -- but these tend to make my ES seem crinkly -- maybe not the right word, but yes, crinkly. Both seemed quite drying to me -- and I don't have dry eyelids but I do wear eye cream and will not give that up for a cosmetic like a paint pot or ES. When I heard about this last year I jumped and tried it.. it is still working now and I am about to purchase my second tube. It seems because it is in a tube which is easier to access than the disastrous UDPP, that it lasts longer and does not dry out like UDPP did inside the tube. I like that it looks white and goes on transparent and then, you just know it's there because your ES goes on beautifully and stays put for as many hours as you want. love the product, will most def repurchase. Update: In my search/quest for better/bigger/bushier eyebrows, I have tested this primer on them. OK, so I am still not Cara Delevigne..or Audrey Hepburn, BUT when I apply this on my eyebrows (after I have used all my eye creams and prepped my face for mu), I wait a few minutes to let it dry and then use either my pencils (Shu, YSL, Chanel) or powders (Anastasia, Clinique, Cle) .. whatever. And LO! the product stays on, I don't lose the tail end, nor does anything sweat off. I have these loss problems with both MUFE and MAC brow gels and I am this week testing these gel products on top of primer too. It should work and that would make me have almost perfect brows. After I use my coloring product, I use a waterproof mascara in brown and I have achieved a fuller effect on my brows. I am about to purchase my 4th tube.. that's how invaluable this product is to me now.

Blush -Clarins - Multi-Blush in Tender Lychee
rated 5 of 5
Hothead 5/29/2011 3:42:00 PM

I was so sad to hear that these have been discontinued as they are usually my summer staples for a fresh summery and just flushed look -- they go on and stay on as if you had just put it on. Wonderful product and Lichee is one of the best colours. I hope I can find a back up!

Blush -NARS - Exhibit A
rated 5 of 5
Hothead 5/29/2011 9:17:00 AM

Regardless of how much I hate NARS packaging because it ages disgracefully, this is one product which is a must for all skins and all ages. I have forgotten about writing a review for it because it is so in front of me all the time I over look it. But, this blush applied with a soft touch and buffed with tenderness is a perfect colour for most women who want a flushed look without the buildup of product. it is one of NARS best imo.. and I have at least 50 blushes or more now. would repurchase in a heartbeat but won't have to because although I wear it a few times a week, it hardly shows a dent in it.

so far so good.. I bought and thought meh... give it a try. It's been a delightful surprise..and I may just have found a new HG foundation. I will report back, but this so far gets an A+ from me for overall performance, coverage and natural looking finish.

Primer/ Corrector -Chanel - Le Blanc de Chanel - Sheer Illuminating Base
rated 5 of 5
Hothead 5/27/2011 9:35:00 AM

I am on my second bottle now. I will always repurchase this product as it gives me an inner lit look and works very well with any of the foundtions I own. I think this primer/corrector probably works better on older women as it is a bit moisturizing and might not give the desired effect on a younger person.
