Shampoo -Aveda - Shampure

I love the smell of this product, and like all other Aveda hair products, I have found it to be very gentle and not stripping it all. Even after they changed the formula of Shampure a couple of years ago, you don't get a lot of lather. The problem I have had is that it is TOO gentle on my fine straight untreated hair! I have had itching and breakouts on my scalp with this product - there is something about it that after I use it for a while, it starts to build up on my scalp and doesn't rinse cleanly (I should also note that the water is fairly hard in my apartment). Anyway, I love Aveda, but I have to pair it with a drugstore shampoo or it builds up horribly. But nothing has ever made my hair shinier or more healthy looking and feeling - my best hair days have been from using Pantene Sheer Volume shampoo and Aveda Shampure conditioner.

Lips -Burt's Bees - Lip Shimmers - Rhubarb

I would absolutely buy this product again. It is very subtle and works well with my pale skin. I also have this in raisin which I like to wear at night. I know it is not much like a lipstick, but I have a big mouth and have always felt self-conscious, like I was wearing wax lips when I would put on most lipsticks or even some deeply tinted glosses. It does not last terribly long, but not being a lipstick wearer this doesn't bother me. And, I like reapplying it - it makes me feel like a real girl with lipstick for once!

I have been using this product for 3 years now in .5 Vanilla and it is my only makeup besides Burt's Bees Lip Shimmers. It makes my very pink-pale skin look nearly perfect - it's sheer enough so I don't look like a corpse, but really evens out my skin tone and covers blemishes fairly well. I don't think it stays on my face all that well - I am very active, I walk and bike to work and am always in motion, but it is the only product I have on my face besides moisturizer/sunscreen and it is very easy to carry around and reapply, though I have to agree with the reviewer who said it can get chalky when you keep reapplying. I try to keep it to a minimum and use oil blotting sheets on my sensitive/combination skin and it stays light and smooth. For me, it is the perfect product because it feels so nice and soft on my face - I can't stand the idea of anything sticky or gooey on my face.
