Crème -Maybelline - Dream Smooth Mousse

I normally don't use cream foundations cause they can tend to look cakey but gave this a try. I bought honey beige (NC42-44). This covered my old acne marks, minor spots, and had buildable maximum coverage for a big pimple that I had. Since I'm a little more on the yellow side than beige I could not find an a proper match this seemed a little pink on me. This also got a little oily on me so I would say this would be ok for normal-dry skin not oily gals. A small amount covered my whole face. For the price its worth a try to bad they didn't have a shade for me. I ended up giving this to my mother that is caucasian and it was a perfect match for her and she lilkes it :)

Eye Shadow -NYX - Jumbo Eye Shadow Pencil - French Fries
rated 5 of 5

This brings life to my shadows that became boring. I am nc42/45 for reference. This is a gorgeous bronze color that I enjoy using as a base for brown, taupe, and for even smokey looks. The pencil is creamy and well pigmented. Blends with ease and looks very natural with my skin color and this is the shade that would suit EVERY skin color . This first time I tried this I used this alone and blended it all over my lid for an all over color and it creased like no other and I don't even have an oily lid/creasing problem that I'm aware of. But the next time I used it I patted a little bit of the regular 1$ e.l.f primer first, then a thin layer of this as an eye shadow base(it's easy to smudge),then my shadows and have had no problem. This also looks very nice with the wnw vanity palette btw. I would not recommended using this without a primer.

Lip Treatments -Unlisted Brand - Lip Vitamins Lip Balm -- Mixed Berries
rated 1 of 5
tightkitty 1/16/2012 11:17:00 AM

Hmm lip balm called vitamins..yay! I assumed this was for me. I bought this in berries(the pink tube) at big lots for a dollar. Right after leaving the store I ripped that bad boy open and used it immediately. I was really turned off by thesmell and the yucky taste it left on my lips and no matter how hard I tried to not taste it somehow it was unavoidable. I seem to be the odd one that wasn't crazy about this. The taste drove my crazy!!! I wasn't even able to try or test this out because I couldn't get over the insane chemical taste all over my lips. Idk if I got an old one or what but mine was like sour chemicals on my lips. Both times I tried to make this work I ended up removing it and could still taste and smell it.

Polishes -Jordana - Sweet Rose 981
rated 4 of 5
tightkitty 1/16/2012 11:07:00 AM

This is a cool pink beige. I liked that this was a nudeish pink. A opaque cream with no shimmer or glitter that is very true to color. I was very surprised at how this applied and the formula was much easier to work with them my essie polishes so I am considering trying out other colors if the other shades are true to color, easy to apply ,and unbelievably affordable like this one.

Nails -L.A. Colors - Nail Polish Remover Pads
rated 3 of 5
tightkitty 1/16/2012 10:52:00 AM

I thought these were the coolest little things. They remove nail polish with with a very oily base that leaves your hands very oily afterwards and I thought that the oil was moisturizing my nails and cuticles. I was out of nail polish remover and constantly used these. I had a few different ones in different scents and ended up using them for a few months. I really felt like they were good for my nails because of the oil instead of the drying nail polish but after a few months use I started to notice my nails got thinner, weaker, and were breaking off really bad. After they broke down until they couldn't break anymore they were so weak that they were still trying to break on top of my nail and was painful and I was like omg the only thing I changed was my polish remover. So I went back to my old polish remover generic cutex with gelatin in it for a 1$ and my nails stopped breaking and seem to be improving. My bottom line is these are great for travel but I wouldn't use them constantly like I was ever again. I would only use them for travel since my nails desperately need/want the gelatin.

Fragrances -Victoria's Secret - BOMBSHELL
rated 5 of 5
tightkitty 1/15/2012 6:12:00 PM

This works like magic on me and with my chemistry. I sampled this in VS and often admiring my own scent afterwards all day and I did the same thing the next weekend and I admired my scent all day again. When I woke up in the morning mmmm there it is again wow. It lasts a rather long time on me but I think it depends on body chemistry and how you use it. I do think Bombshell lasts longer than some of VS's other fragrances. A delightful, clean, energetic, sweet, clearly peony driven fragrance. I loved the way it made me feel while wearing it and for me that's the most important part of a fragrance is how it makes you FEEL. I really felt clean, fresh, and XXX sexy all day wearing this. Overall, a very pleasant scent. This can be warn anytime of the day...it does have a slight warmth to it..but not a full on-winter scent. Summertime has Bombshell written all over it although I DO plan to wear this in winter since I like it so much. A great fresh uplifting mood type of scent. To me, this is definitely worth buying, although I can only speak for the EDP (perfume) skip the body mist it seemed weak, the perfume has pretty good staying power on me and I have a hard time with fragrances lasting on my skin. :) I plan on purchasing the Deluxe gift set Includes: Eau de Parfum, 7.5 ml/.25 fl oz Eau de Parfum, 50 ml/1.7 fl oz Body Lotion, 100 ml/3.4 fl oz Body Wash, 100 ml/3.4 fl oz $65 #280-209 such a better deal then just buying the one bottle of the perfume for $65 A glamorous blend of purple passion fruit, Shangri-la yellow peony and vanilla orchid it's described on the site. Also, is the 2011 FIFI AWARD WINNER FOR FRAGRANCE OF THE YEAR

Pressed Powders -E.L.F. - Complexion Perfection
rated 2 of 5
tightkitty 1/15/2012 11:00:00 AM

This does not show up on me or make any kind of difference with anything. This does not cancel out or conceal anything. if I wanted a mattifier I would just use my pressed powder. I love e.l.f but this one did not do anything. I would never repurchase. I would rather have another flat top brush instead of this for 3 bucks

Lip Treatments -Blistex - Five Star Lip Protection
rated 1 of 5
tightkitty 1/15/2012 10:24:00 AM

There is nothing 5 star about this..regular cheap chapstick feel. I prefer Lip Medex and Deep Renewal to this. I would never repurchase this one. I threw away the tube halfway. This made my lips dry and peel.

Blush -E.L.F. - Contouring Blush & Bronzing Powder
rated 4 of 5
tightkitty 1/14/2012 11:22:00 AM

The bronzer is perfect !!At first, I applied the bronzer with too heavy of a hand like I have to do with other bronzers. It went on my cheekbones like speared mud. VERY pigmented. It is deceiving since it looks so light in the pallette..dont be fooled this bronzer packs a punch like POW!!! I tried it again with a lighter hand and a fluffier brush, and it contours my cheek bones beautifully. I already have tan skin. It's more of a chocolate brown color instead of orange, like most bronzers. I would not recommend this for fair skin unless applied very lightly or used with a brush that does not pick up alot of product, but for the most part this would work best with med-dark skin. There is glitter in both pans but less noticeable and finely milled in the bronzer side. The bronzer is a deeper color with a slight golden shimmer,it's very pretty. Usually I don't like any shimmer or glitter in my bronzer at all but this looks really nice and now is my HG right now and has been for months now. The blush is a little less then ok. It's glittery, shimmery, but sheer and lacks pigment unlike the VERY pigmented bronzer they are like night and day. I don't like it that much but I can find uses for it. I can brush some on my chest for a little shimmer, only for nights out of course and I have used this as a glittery highlight for nighttime as well. It will be well suited for fairer skinned girls since when us darker/tan girls use it the sheer pigment is to light to show up and only the shimmer/glitter shows on darker skin. This would be a blush for fair skin that would show up as a blush with glitter/shimmer. However, it was $3 soooo I think the packaging is awesome. Packaging I don't mind at all. It's sturdy and comes with a large mirror that looks like NARS.You get a nice big mirror inside. It doesn't come with any dumb, useless brushes that just take up space. I keep hearing allot of comparison to the NARS Orgasm/Laguna duo. But I cant make that comparison since I do not own it. But I do like this product. The difference is the price. I believe I paid $3 for this E.L.F. duo. Amazing product but the thing that baffles me is that the bronzer seems more suited to med-darker skin and the blush is suited more for fair. They should come out with this same bronzer with a matched with a more pigmented blush for med-dark tones and that blush with a lighter bronzer for people with fairer complexions. just an idea but once again it was 3$ rating-4 for the blush being to light for me price-1 packaging-5 I love that its sturdy buy again-yes for the bronzer

Hair Styling Tools -Revlon - Revlon RV474 1875 Watt Ionic Styler Dryer
rated 2 of 5
tightkitty 12/30/2011 11:00:00 PM

I think I liked my old blow dryer better then this one. My old one was made my hair smooth. This is just okay. It does not make my hair smooth or anything. My hair also seems to smoke more with this dryer and seems to blow out a little to strong for me. I found a piece of hair that blew out and stuck to the wall in my bathroom so the blower is so strong it blows your hair out..strange

Mascara -Cover Girl - Lash Blast
rated 5 of 5
tightkitty 12/30/2011 4:47:00 PM

To say that CoverGirl’s LashBlast Volume Blasting Mascara changed my cosmetic life would be an understatement. Say “goodbye” to your eyelash curlers and brushes, and say “hello” to fun flirty eyelashes with LashBlast Mascara. This mascara brought out the lashes I never knew I had: thick, voluminous, full and clump free! Perhaps my favorite part of this whole product would have to be the applicator. With thin short plastic-like bristles, this brush applicator does an amazing job at defining and separating the lashes. The very black is very black and I really like that, they don't dry and look lighter or dull like other mascaras. They actually look black, silky, and glossy.. As for standing the test of time, this little number does great. Not only did I not have to reapply every few hours, but also I pleasantly noted that after long wear, I was still looking human with no raccoon eyes. Sweet! I have been using this off and on for years. I like to try other mascaras but I keep comming back to this one. This lifts and curls my lashes up like you wouldn't believe and gives me that minnie mouse batting her eyelashes effect, very doll like. After I apply a somewhat ample amount I like to turn my head to the side while looking in the mirror for each eye and apply more of this mascara and this is how I can control how much they lift, curl, and look from the side. I am amazed at how my lashes look from the side. I have been a LashBlast lover for a long time and have tried all of the other LashBlast's that followed this one and this one is my favorite BY FAR. I have purchased this time and time again. Price: I purchased a tube for around $7 USD at Target, but if you keep an eye out you might spot specially-priced twin packs or manufacturer coupons. True to color: Not all the shades Packaging: All of the LashBlast mascaras seem to have the wands with little silicone teeth, versus traditional bristle spoolies. They are packaged with a temporary cap on the tube, so that you can see exactly what the wands looks like. Also, keep an eye open for the major difference – waterproof versions have a black wand with teeth that match the color of the tube, but the regular versions have the color-matching wand with black teeth. Ingredients: Listed on the back of the blisterpack, they are as follows: water, glyceryl stearate, ammonium acrylates copolymer, disteardimonium hectorite, propylene glycol, stearic acid, copernicia cerifera (carnauba) wax, triethanolamine, acrylates copolymer, synthetic wax, polyvinyl alchohol, lethicin, propylene carbonate, polythylene, oleic acid, alchohol denat., benzyl alchohol, glycerin, xanthan gum, panthenol, phenoxyethanol, propylparaben, methylparaben, ethylparaben, sodium laureth sulfate, trisodium edta, simethicone, tocopheryl acetate, tocopherol, iron oxides. May contain titanium dioxide, ultramarines. My only complaint is it seems like a lot of mascara builds up on the very tip of the wand when I pull it out of the tube, so I need to either kind of wipe it off or be very careful while applying. But, I think the excess product sometimes ends up there and that prevents from to much product ending up on the bristles that would create clumpy lashes. So I have no problem removing that little bit of excess vs dealing with clumpy lash problems and lash combs ect. Yes the tube is big and fat but who cares since this lasts and holds and does not need reapplied so I after I do my makeup I have no need to take this with me anyway

Lipstick -Revlon - Colorburst Lip Butter in Creme Brulee
rated 1 of 5
tightkitty 12/30/2011 3:45:00 PM

I love nude shade lipsticks. This I thought would for sure be my shade looking into the tube. Since I wanted a nude color. I hate all lipbutters after I noticed they ruined the condition of my lips and severely dried them out but that is a different story ,as far as this shade goes this might look good on other people, maybe those with lighter complexions and lip color. I have lips that are already pretty pigmented and this did not have any payoff at all on my lips no matter how much I applied all I got was some shimmer ughh almost frosty. It was nothing like I expected from looking at it in the tube. I see that the good reviews for this are people with fair skin. So if you are a lipbutter fan(which I am not) I would suggest this for very fair and far skin tones that don't mind shimmer.

Lip Gloss -NYX - Sweet Heart 104
rated 2 of 5
tightkitty 12/30/2011 3:27:00 PM

I love the color in the bottle, and it smells lovely. I bought this thinking it would make a nice nude lip. However, it's insanely FROSTY! VERY frosty and I could not see that by looking at the tube. Were others shocked or surprised by how it looks in the tube compared to how it really looks? I can't even wear this. I don't like frost in my lipsticks or glosses. Comes with a slightly angled doe foot applicator. Would I repurchase this particular color? NO! I will try other colors. I can only see this working with someone who has very fair skin that likes frost or a young girl. This is in no way considered nude to me. If this color was the extactly the way it looked in the tube I would probably love it. Did I mention that this is insanely FROSTY?????
