Moisturizers -Algenist - Regenerative Anti-ageing Lotion

This isn't so great. I'm surprised they charge so much for it. I was expecting a lightweight version of the Regenerative Anti-Aging Moisturizer (which I LOVE!) but this product is definitely inferior to the moisturizer in so many ways. It doesn't "feel" nice upon application. It doesn't moisturize or hydrate my skin in the short-term. My face feels a bit greasy at the end of the day, surprisingly. And I'm not seeing any long-term results like the pretty, healthy glow I get from the Regenerative Anti-Aging Moisturizer. I agree with the previous reviewer who said this product is on par with a facial lotion from the drugstore. It really is! Disappointing overall, would not repurchase.
Beautiful and unique. Vampy and goth-ish, but glittery and sparkly at the same time. Ruby Red Slippers is made up of multi-sized dark red glitter suspended in a black jelly base, a nice alternative to regular black polish. The only downside is that the application is very sheer, it took 3 coats for me to be satisfied with the results. Overall, I think this is a gorgeous polish worth the price tag. Another winner from Deborah Lippmann.

Excellent product. I absolutely love this. I have been trying out different Algenist products via gwp's and samples for the past year now. For some reason there have been loads of Algenist freebies in circulation from Sephora, Birchbox, etc. Well, aside from the cleanser (which I haven't made up my mind about yet) I can say the Regenerative Anti-Aging Moisturizer is their only product that I would pay full price for. What sets this moisturizer apart (for me) is that there is a visible difference when I use it vs. when I don't. This moisturizer makes my skin glow. I look healthy, rested, and younger. Honestly, younger! I put this product up there with Creme de la Mer, but unlike La Mer the texture is somewhat lightweight and so much easier to deal with. I think this is the stand-out of the whole Algenist line and I do plan to repurchase.
A perfectly fine moisturizer, nice and rich, sinks into my skin nicely. But I did not see any change in my skin whatsoever after using the whole .5oz gwp jar. No "firming" or "lifting" took place. I much prefer the Regenerative Anti-Aging Moisturizer. There were some mornings I'd wake up after using that and my skin would look amazing. Didn't happen with this one. Like all Algenist products, this one is expensive. I expect to see results for that kind of money. Would not repurchase.

I think I've found my HG leave-in conditioner at last! I don't have one negative thing to say about this product. My hair is softer and more manageable without being weighed-down, even when I accidentally use too much. And the scent is just heavenly- it smells CLEAN. This provides incredible smoothness and keeps my flyaways in check. Tangle-free all the way down to the ends, in my problem-child hair! I used this before my last salon appointment and the stylist commented on how good my hair felt. I bought this based on the recommendation of someone from the hair board and I'm so glad I did. This leave-in is phenomenal, I will keep a bottle of this in my bathroom FOREVER.
Treatments -Alterna - Bamboo Smooth Kendi Oil Dry Oil Mist

I really wanted to love this product. And while it did add softness and shine without weighing my hair down, for some reason this spray caused my hair to break off and shed excessively. So it's a no-go for me! Didn't do much to smooth out my fly-aways either. Tried it because all the glowing reviews made me curious, but I wouldn't buy this again.
Polishes -Butter London - West End Wonderland polish
sprite26 3/23/2013 4:12:00 PM
West End Wonderland is a gold glitter polish, opaque in 2 coats, and yet it doesn't look too garish or flashy. It's almost a glittery neutral. It's not, of course. But this gold isn't TOO gold, which is probably what makes this color work on me. Surprisingly subtle and sophisticated, not a juvenile glitter at all. I'm a big fan of Butter London polishes in general, excellent application & wear. This particular one is a stand-out. Recommended!
Treatments -Murad - Rapid Age Spot and Pigment Lightening Serum

WOW! I have never used a product that faded my acne marks so quickly. I didn't have high expectations at all, but this serum is Amazing. Nice lightweight texture, not sticky at all, seems to sink in right away. Zero irritation and Fast results. I'm one of those people who gets a dark spot left behind from literally every blemish. And they take a few weeks to fade enough to where I feel comfortable not dabbing them with concealer. Well when I started using this, I had a brand-new dark spot to deal with, and within a matter of DAYS I wasn't even bothering to cover it up anymore because it had faded so much. I couldn't believe it. This is really great! Recommended and would definitely repurchase.
Skincare - Body -Unlisted Brand - Egyptian Magic Healing Cream

This moisturizer has let me down a little bit. It's incredibly greasy, I can only use this as a night cream. And it doesn't seem to really absorb either, all the grease is still there in the morning right on top of my skin. I'd be willing to overlook it if this did something impressive, like if it moisturized my skin really really well. But it doesn't. Overall, this is just okay. It's not so horrible that I won't use it all up, but I won't be repurchasing.
Treatments -Organix - Coconut Milk Anti-Breakage Serum

ANTI-breakage serum? I never shed so much hair in my life! And add to that, it made my hair sticky and weighed-down too. I think this is a horrible product, one of the worst I've ever tried. So disappointing because the reviews are mostly positive & glowing, and I hoped it would give me shiny, soft, not-breaking hair too. Hate to be the Debby Downer but I got terrible results from this product, Thumbs Down!
This cleanser is HG-amazing, I'm so glad I found it! I don't know what's been going on with my skin lately, for the last several months I've basically had one or two blemishes SOMEWHERE on my face at all times and some clogged pores too. Its been very frustrating. Since I've started using this cleanser- no more of that. I can't believe how effective this has been for me, and I noticed an improvement right away. I almost want to call this a miracle product- it dried up my blemishes and the little plugs inside my pores now practically fall out on their own. Yes I know that's gross but it's very satisfying when a skincare product yields results like that. And on top of everything else, my skin has been less oily generally speaking. Loving this! Now as you can imagine, this cleanser is really strong and also quite drying. I would not recommend this for those with sensitive or drier skins. There is a bracing, tingling sensation on my face whenever I apply this, but it doesn't bother me at all and I've experienced no irritation. I have only used this as a mask once so far and I had no problem leaving it on for the recommended 5 minutes, I could have even left it on for longer. I think it's kind of neat that I can use this product as both a cleanser and a mask too. I just couldn't be happier with this cleanser, I'm so glad I finally found something that cleared my face up once and for all. This product probably isn't for everybody but it's definitely for me! I plan to stock up and hoard as many tubes of this as I can simply because everything I love seems to wind up discontinued. This is terrific! Effective, fast-acting, and inexpensive too- what more could you ask for?
China Glaze Ruby Pumps absolutely FLOORED me, that's how beautiful it is. When it comes to nail polish, I feel like red is one of those colors you shouldn't even bother with unless it's exactly right. Know what I mean? When they made Ruby Pumps it's like they took the perfect, flirty, sexy, classy red and then made it a GLITTER. Utter perfection. This is truly a must-have!!!
Cool-looking gunmetal grey with loads of microglitter. Shimmery and a little bit edgy too. Goes on a bit sheer though, I'd call this a three-coater. Apparently it's not super-original either, there are dupishly similar offerings from Zoya and SC. But I'm a fan of OPI and I enjoyed wearing this one. Very pretty for Fall/Winter! Thumbs up.
I love metallic polishes and I thought Rage would be like Butter London's Fairy Lights (metallic silvery-pink) or The Old Bill (metallic rose-gold). But it actually turned out to be more of a metallic nude (cool!) on my nails. I wasn't expecting this color to be unique at all but in its own way, it is. Totally decent formula, no problems with application or wear. The color is a bit flashy, if you prefer more conservative or classic shades you might want to steer clear. But it's pretty and fun to wear, easy to see why it's so popular. Thumbs up for this one!
