"Hydrating Powder", uh, ok Smashbox, whatever you say. I was suckered into buying this at a makeover event at Ulta. I actually quite liked the packaging and the little "shaving" gizmo inside. I was told it is a mineral powder and that appealed to me to. It does not offer mineral like coverage at all. At the time of purchase my skin was quite dry but I never felt like this was hydrating. My skin is much more oily now than dry nowadays and recently tried this again and it's still fairly useless.

Meh. Nothing special. There are plenty of oil products out there these days that do just as good a job, if not better, for a lot cheaper.

Gorgeous colour, deep, rich and pigmented. 2 coats is plenty. My only complaint is the brush, it is way too thin, it takes 4 swipes to do one nail so then the application gets messy. Otherwise, it's perfect.

Blush -NYX - Nutmeg

This seems so pigmented in the pan, but you really have to apply a lot to make it noticeable. Then it shows up dirty looking. I'm very pale (NC15), this seemed like the perfect neutral blush for my skintone, but would probably be suited better to darker skintones. It also crumbled quite a bit in the pan. It was so cheap, so it's no loss.

This is a cinch to apply. Really creamy and soft, no tugging. Can be difficult to get a thin line though because it's so soft. I bought the dark brown one and the colour is really intense, it lasts a very long time too (10+ hours). However, my sensitive eyes reacted badly to it like other reviewers. Slightly bloodshot, red, teary eyes within 15 mins of application. I've never reacted to an eyeliner like that before. Tried it out 5/6 times, each time I had the same reaction.

Eyeliner -Make Up For Ever - Aqua Eyes

Worth the higher than drugstore price to get an eyeliner that doesn't irritate my water line. I love it. Goes on so easily, wears all day, nicely pigmented and matte. It never transfers to my lower water line. It's not too creamy, so it doesn't have to be sharpened before every use, which makes it last months. HG for me.

Eyeliner -NYX - Dark Brown

This is too dry and lacks pigment. It tugs on eyelids and takes far too much work to apply. It looks faded and hours old almost immediately. I (like other reviewers have mentioned) ended up using this as an eyebrow pencil, and it works great at that. Will not repurchase though.

Eyeliner -Revlon - Colorstay Eyeliner

If this was sold in regular pencil form I would repurchase. These twisty eyeliners are so gimmicky, they never get pointed enough and are flat again before finishing one eye. This however, does have staying power, it doesn't budge. it works great on lids. On my waterline, it transfers and irritates my eyes making them red and watery.

Cleansers -Vichy - Normaderm Daily Exfoliating Cleansing Gel

I wouldn't dream of putting this on my face as it is loaded with fragrance (why do you do this Vichy?), but as a body wash it's great. I use it 2-3 times a week in the shower after Bikram yoga and it keeps back and chest breakouts at bay.

Cleansers -Avene - Cleanance soapless gel cleanser for oily skin

This a lovely soap-free cleanser. It's non-drying and very effectively removes makeup and leaves no residue. I would definitely buy again, docking one lippie because of the packaging, it would be great if it had a pump.

Mascara -Maybelline - Volum' Express One by One

I just threw this away because it was 6 months old and did not want to take any chances. Amazingly after 6 months of use, this stuff was still going strong, no clumps and plenty of hold. I'm always trying new mascaras but I would definitely repurchase this in the future. It's a great everyday mascara.

I have been using this for years, I always find myself coming back to it. It's a great everyday mascara, it never clumps, lasts all day and is very natural looking which makes it a great daytime mascara.

Foundations -Unlisted Brand - Lucy Minerals Foundation

I carry this with me for touch ups. For some reason this just doesn't work on me as my primary foundation; no matter how much I exfoliate, moisturize and then moisturize with different kinds of moisturizers, this just does not sit right, it looks cakey (even with a very light touch). However, after a few hours, once my natural oils are out in full force this works perfectly. It looks natural and has great coverage. Will continue to repurchase. For reference, I am NC10/15 and wear Light, it matches perfectly.

Treatments -Stridex - Maximum Strength Soft Touch Pads Alcohol Free (Red jar/box)

I use this on my neck and chest in the evening and this keeps me perfectly clear, but it's too harsh to use on my face - too drying and irritating. It's also really good to use after shaving if you're prone to irritation or ingrown hairs. The pads are really soaked so I cut them in two so a box lasts forever. Highly recommended, just not for the face if you're sensitive or dry. *** Update 08/12: After trying various other BHA's on my face I have come back to this and it's working great. When I used it in the past I was alternating in the pm with an AHA Toner which I now realise was the source of the irritation.
