Lip Gloss -Butter London - Lippy (all shades)
rated 4 of 5

Love the name they gave their lip gloss product. Saw these for the first time in Nordstrom. The colors all have coordinating polish colors. Snog (deep reddish pink) Primrose Hill Picnic (medium vibrant pink) Trout Pout ( opaque salmon color) Teddy Girl (very frosty light pink) Yummy Mummy (purple beige color). All come in a tube with a doe foot applicator. I also saw on line they offered No More Waity Katie lippy that came in a squeeze tube with a cap. I bought three of these - Snog, Trout Pout and Primrose Hill Picnic. The formula is pigmented but tacky. There may be slight differences with shades. Snog seems to "travel" more than the others. Trout Pout seems thicker and harder to apply. Primrose Hill Picnic is my favorite - less sticky, pigmented and stays on nice. They all have a melon slightly perfumey taste that fortunately dissipates as you wear them. Price is $17.00. I would repurchase if I found a color I really liked.

Bronzers -MAC - Soft Sand
rated 2 of 5
pulidobl 6/19/2012 6:34:00 PM

I got this from the "Hey Sailor" collection. Beautiful color if you can get it onto your brush. I don't know why mine is so hard, but I tried 3 different brushes to get the color onto my face. Apparently MAC re-promotes this shade a lot. Not sure if I got a dud or not, but ended up returning it and getting Nude on Board (another review) one of the pro longwear colors. Buyers beware...

Gels/Soaps -Nubian Heritage - Black Seed Soap With Apricot Oil and Wild Honey
rated 5 of 5
pulidobl 5/22/2012 1:16:00 AM

Love Love the Nubian Heritage line! This soap is my favorite of all the ones I've tried. If you are a honey lover, you will love the true soft honey fragrance. I love how this gently exfoliates your skin and moisturizes it at the same time! The other soaps in this line I've tried are the Rose Chai (unfortunately I's sensitive to something in it) Mango (great) and of course the African Black (their recipe, but it's a nice one). These are priced $3.99 at Whole Foods, but there are some deals if you go one line.

Lotions/ Creams -Pacifica - Indian Coconut Nectar Body Butter
rated 3 of 5
pulidobl 5/20/2012 7:47:00 PM

I tried a travel size tube of this. Did not like it as well as the roll on. It has a weird plastic smelling opening note that I was blaming on the plastic tube it comes in. If you can get past this,it does fade and the dry down is a nice vanilla coconut scent that stays close to the skin. It moisturizes decently. I would call this more of a lotion than a body butter though. I 'm glad I did not buy a big tube and wonder what kind of plastic the tubes these come in are made of. Weird for a natural based product...

Eye Shadow -Maybelline - Color Tattoo 24hr Cream Gel Shadow in Painted Purple
rated 5 of 5
pulidobl 5/14/2012 5:45:00 PM

Love Color Tattoo shadows! For less than six dollars they wear as well as Benefit Creaseless Creams and MAC Paintpots on me, anyway. I have oily lids and do not use a primer. I like how they do not accentuate any crepiness in my eye area either. As others have mentioned, if you are looking for this one to go on like it looks in the pot, you will be very disappointed. This goes on very sheer. It is slightly buildable. It is still a very pretty purple color and makes my hazel eye pop!

Moisturizers -evanhealy - Rosehip Treatment Facial Serum - Blue
rated 5 of 5
pulidobl 5/14/2012 1:49:00 PM

This review is for the "blue" rosehip facial serum. There are two kinds blue and rose. Blue has blue chamomile, carrot and immortelle oils in it for sensitive dehydrated and mature skin types. The rose is more for normal combo types. Used with the Lavender Hydrosol this has really calmed down the redness and eased up the dehydrated condition of my normal to dry, sensitive skin. I tried the Blue facial kit for $29.95 at Whole Foods. The serum is one of the products in this kit. Love it!

Liquid -Paul & Joe - Light Cream Foundation S
rated 4 of 5
pulidobl 4/27/2012 12:55:00 AM

Ordered this on line from b-glowing.com so the color was a guess. I ordered 20 (Flesh) which was not a bad match for my NC 20 skin tone. This is a more neutral shade. On some sites it says it is pink - it is NOT pink...I might go with 10 (Ivory) or 30 Clear next time I get it. The texture is so luxurious and it comes in a pretty pump bottle - a pleasure to use. No funny smell. A little goes a long way. I would say this works for normal to slightly dry skin the best. It does not seem to have as good staying power as other foundations I've used and the price is $45.00 - that is why I gave this a 4.

Blush -Paul & Joe - Catfight 003 Spring 2012 LE
rated 5 of 5
pulidobl 4/10/2012 11:52:00 PM

My two loves: cats and makeup! Oh my gosh, this collection is sooooo cute!!! Cats in top hats!! I just admired it for a couple weeks before actually using it! This is the size of a lipstick instead of the usual size blush sticks are, so it is SMALL for the price ($28.00 or more if you have to get it from the entrepreneurs on E-Bay which is where a lot of LE items end up. I finally did take a few small swipes from the back of the tube and applied it over my foundation today. The color in the tube is a bright orange, but it goes on very sheer and gave me a nice natural flush of color - almost like a Nars Gina. Staying power was average for a cream blush. It is going to be hard to use this up without destroying the kitty face :(. I have the gold shimmer one on order and may keep that one intact to to admire.

Eyeliner -L'Oreal - Voluminous Smoldering Eyeliner
rated 2 of 5
pulidobl 2/16/2012 10:58:00 PM

I purchased this in Brown, and it is a very deep black/brown. It comes with a sharpener. Less expensive than Sue Devitt and some other chubby pencils. It does smudge which it is supposed to do like other kohl/kajal style pencils. I find it hard to control applying it though. Sometimes it goes on smooth, and other times it "skips" going on. Unfortunately, it also started irritating my eyes and I had to discontinue wearing it. Note: I do not wear contact lenses or used it on the waterline of my eyes.

Blush -BeneFit Cosmetics - Hervana
rated 4 of 5
pulidobl 2/15/2012 12:33:00 AM

This is the second Benefit boxed face powder I've bought. The first one, Coralista eventually broke me out, so I was hesitant to buy this. The colors were so mesmerizing in the little box, I had to give it a try. I'm glad I did! It really gives a soft natural glow and I can pair any of my lip colors with it and it looks perfect! No sensitivity issues with this one. Why I gave it a four lippie is it is a bit pricey ($28.00 USD) for being in a cardboard box (I hope the box stays intact before I use it up) and if you don't save the inner plastic sleeve, the brush rests right on the product. Save the plastic liner!

Treatments (Eye) -Perfekt - Eye Perfection Gel
rated 2 of 5
pulidobl 2/1/2012 6:31:00 PM

This DOES make your eye area look good. Other than that, the packaging is a total fail - mine started cracking in several places on the tube where the top screws on, and I did not screw it on tight. The palladium metal tip is a waste, too. I get just as good results with just using the Perfection Gel all over my face and eye area. I did not experience the cooling or tingling that others experienced.

Liquid -L'Oreal - Visible Lift Serum Absolute Advanced Age-Reversing Makeup
rated 5 of 5
pulidobl 1/31/2012 1:11:00 PM

Very impressed by this drugstore find! It outperforms a lot of high end foundations I've tried, too like other MUA'ers have found. I did not get any sun last summer, so I am pretty pale probably about an NC 15-20. I tried 144 light Ivory, which is a good match, maybe a tad light. It has a yellow undertone which I felt would suit my skin better. Tip: start applying in small areas, and don't over apply! I find one pump does my whole face with enough left over to spot treat. This is a keeper and will really help with the make up budget. Got it for $13.49 at Target. Some will feel it is pricey for d/s foundation, but I usually pay $40 to $60 a bottle for high end stuff so it is a bargain. Also it would help to go to where they have testers to get the right color, if possible, since the bottle makes the foundation darker than it really is.

Mascara -MAC - False Lashes
rated 3 of 5
pulidobl 1/31/2012 12:08:00 PM

My lashes - very light brown and puny. I have tried at least four MAC mascaras including this one. This one is slightly better than Zoom lash IMO. I like the Extreme Black color they offer. When I apply this, I can never get both my eye's lashes to look the same - don't know why... I also don't know why MAC charges $4.00 more for this stuff, either. Maybe it's the silly detail on the wand packaging. I am going back to Studio Fix lash which is better IMO and it is $15.00 vs. $19.00 for False Lashes. Also they offer Studio Fix lash in Bold Black which is comparable to Extreme Black, too..

Brows -MAC - Impeccable Brow Pencil - Dirty Blonde
rated 5 of 5
pulidobl 12/16/2011 4:54:00 PM

If you have barely non existent eyebrows like I have, this works better than the twist up version. It is not as greasy and looks more natural. The twist up version works good for a fill in if you already have brows. I like that this has no overtones of red in it. This is the best replacement I found for Chanel's precision brow pencil in taupe that they d/c and was my HG for 15 years :( A plus is this one is only $15.00. I hope this is not LE.

Shampoo -Suave - Professionals Rosemary Mint Shampoo
rated 4 of 5
pulidobl 10/3/2011 11:07:00 PM

Fresh smell, some natural ingredients. Good for normal to oily hair or for a clarifying shampoo. I found if I use this every day it strips out my color some. Hubby adores it, and it is very cheap for under $2.00!
