I actually found the formula of this mascara to be ok - no big difference to other mascaras. There wasn't any smudging or difficulty in removal for me personally. However, I really dislike the brush/wand. It is HUGE and it just made it extremely difficult to apply the mascara, especially since I have somewhat shorter lashes and smaller eyes. If you're someone who has naturally long lashes, it may not be so bad but for someone with shorter lashes, the brush makes it difficult to get a good coat of mascara on every lash. Any other brand with a better (ie smaller) brush will probably yield better results.
Lip Gloss -Smashbox - Lip Enhancing Gloss - ILLUME

It's a pretty color and I love the smell! This is a good, cute everyday lip gloss if you're looking for a bit of shimmer. I do find that it dries out my lips more so than other glosses (and even lipsticks) for whatever reason.
Eye Shadow -L'Oreal - HiP Concentrated Duo - Rascal #936
peppermintcupcakes 5/7/2010 3:06:00 PM
This is my least favorite of all the duos. The pink does not show up on my skin color and the grey color just has no staying power whatsoever (even with primer on my lids). The fallout of the grey is disappointing; an hour of wear or so and it's practically all faded off. I've struggled to try and get that pink on many times and have tried applying it dry and wet - still no real results. I will say I like how they give you a mirror on the bottom of the package (I forgot to mention in my other reviews of the duos), I think that's cute.
This duo has one color I like and one that's not so great. The cream / off white color looks odd on me and is not very pigmented. I can't seem to find a lot of use for it although I don't hate it. The green color, however, is terrific! I absolutely adore the green and because of that I would probably pick this up again if it was on sale and assuming I can't find a duplicate.
Eye Shadow -L'Oreal - HiP Bright Duo - Flamboyant #538

This product is a toss overall. The gold color is great and I would give it a 4.5, however, the purple is just awful. I can't use the purple at all because that color on my skin looks like I have a bruise (and on my eyes - you can imagine it just looks like I got punched). It may look nice on someone else with a different skin color, but it's definitely not for me. So as much as I like the gold color, I don't think I would purchase this again since I can always just buy a gold from another brand.
This product let me down a little because I expected Lancome to really deliver. I bought the color "gaze" and it was not as pigmented as I would like. It takes multiple applications to get the color to show on my eyelids. I do love the packaging, it's my favorite eye shadow package I've come across but I would likely not repurchase as I find that you can substitute this shadow with a much better one at the same price point.
I have this in the granite currently and have used the brown as well in the past. This is a great brow pencil and I've repurchased many times. It's not extremely expensive and a fairly good quality. I've recently become slightly less enthusiastic about the comb end as I find myself reaching for a brow brush to soften the colour instead sometimes but overall still great and recommended!
Makeup Brushes -Ecotools - bamboo eye shading brush

This brush is soft, inexpensive and works well. I don't have any problems using this brush with different types / brands of eye shadow and is a good all around basic eye shadow brush. It's not anything too fancy and isn't high end but will work for everyday eye make up use. I have purchased a second one already and would recommend this to others.
Makeup Brushes -Ecotools - Bamboo Angled Eyeliner Brush
peppermintcupcakes 4/18/2010 1:40:00 AM
This is a great angled eyeliner brush and is definitely worth the price. For such an inexpensive brush, it is soft but stiff enough to do the job it is meant to. It is not prickly and does not shed. I've washed it many times at this point and it holds it shape is as good as new when it dries. I definitely recommend this brush and have already purchased another for myself just because I like it so much!
Blush -Bare Escentuals - Warmth All Over Face Color
peppermintcupcakes 4/18/2010 1:31:00 AM
This product is an odd color that doesn't quite work as blush. It just looks 'off' on the skin, not like blush at all. It seems quite dark or dull and just doesn't brighten up the face and give the face color like a blush is meant to. I can't find a use for this product at all, which is unfortunate.
Makeup Brushes -Bare Escentuals - Flawless Application Face Brush
peppermintcupcakes 4/17/2010 5:09:00 PM
This brush is quite scratchy and irritated my skin every time I used it. It would also lose its shape every time I washed it and required a lot of effort to get the bristles back to the way they should be. I wouldn't buy this brush because it certainly not worth the price (I only have it because it came in the starter kit, I checked how much it cost individually and can say for certain there are better brushes out there that are less expensive).
Makeup Brushes -Bare Escentuals - Maximum Coverage Concealer Brush
peppermintcupcakes 4/15/2010 10:35:00 PM
I find it surprising that so many people seem to like this brush. It works well at first, however, after some time the bristles become greasy and stick together - despite frequent washing! I was this brush at least once a week if not more often because of this odd greasy/sticky feel to the bristles but it doesn't really help. After a couple of uses, the bristles clump together again. I am sure it is not the product that I am using with it as I have used other brushes for the same products and this does not happen. Furthermore, the job that this brush does, does not justify its price.
Primer/ Corrector -Everyday Minerals - Mint Color Corrector
peppermintcupcakes 4/15/2010 10:22:00 PM
This product did not work well for me. If I used too little, it did not cover the redness and if I used too much, it began to look like green powder. I suspect that it may be my skin tone that is contributing to its ineffectiveness. Although it is meant to be universal and work with all skin colors, I think that this would probably work better for those with fair skin rather than slightly more tanned or olive skin.
Moisturizers -Neutrogena - Combination Skin Moisture Oil Free
peppermintcupcakes 4/13/2010 10:07:00 AM
This is a good moisturizer if you are looking for something light and not greasy. It is definitely good for under makeup during the day especially in warmer weather. However, if you do have really dry skin then this may not be a product that is heavy enough for you. Overall, not bad and worth the try.
Moisturizers -Neutrogena - Oil Free Moisture - SPF 15
peppermintcupcakes 4/1/2010 11:23:00 PM
This is a fairly good moisturizer, but there are some definite cons so I wouldn't buy this again. It is greasy and feels like a sunscreen that you would use on your body. This smells and feels very much like a sunscreen which makes it heavy for a face moisturizer. I also find that it has a 'greasy stickiness' to it that makes it difficult to use under makeup.
