Palettes -LORAC - Sneak Preview Beauty Insider Palette

Such a great deal! I wanted to buy another one for a X-mas present- unfortunately, it's currently sold out online and in store. If you can find this palette, buy it- for less than $40, you get five eyeshadows, two blushes, a duo shadow/liner brush (which isn't totally useless) and a lip gloss. Includes a large mirror and a look booklet as well. The eyeshadows are frosty beige, pale gold, teal, bronze, and black. All are shimmery, silky, and blend beautifully. The blushes are a matte peach and gorgeous, shimmery deep pink. Both are finely milled and well-pigmented. The gloss is reddish pink with pink sparkles- goes very well with the other products. All in all, a wonderful palette in which you can transition from day to night.

Highlighters -Stila - All Over Shimmer Powder
rated 1 of 5
nd1282 9/16/2007 4:43:00 AM

Thank goodness I bought these cheap off of Ebay- I would have been ticked off if I'd paid full price for them. I own whole line, #s 6-9, which are the brown, white, pale gold and pink ones, respectively. Can't believe these are going for $30 each on the Stila website; what a ripoff! Although finely milled, these powders are disco ball shimmery and last, literally, an hour on me. Never had this problem before with any powder I've used. Also ends up migrating to my clothes and hair. Itches my face too, which is a first- I've never had a reaction from anything I've put on my face. Very unimpressed. Shame on you, Stila! I'll stick to eyeshadows and blushes from this line from now on.

Palettes -Stila - Perfectly Peach Palette (Fall 2005)
rated 3 of 5
nd1282 9/16/2007 4:16:00 AM

An oddly flattering combination on this CCC Neutral. But Nota Bene: this is a very sparkly, frosty look. In the pan, it looks way too warm. On, however , it gives a look that, to me, is perfect for late summer going into fall. The palette contains three eyeshadows- pale yellow, coral orange, and golden olive- and a shimmery nude blush. The pale yellowish shade is a frosted gold with tiny sparkles on me. The orange appears as a peachy pink shimmer on my eyelids, really opening up my eyes, while the olive color looks gorgeous as an eyeliner as well as in the crease. Another lovely palette from Stila, great quality as always, and I think a must for warm-toned ladies.

Palettes -Stila - Perfectly Plum Fall 2005 Palette

Love this palette- looks wonderful on this CCC Neutral! Unusual combination of pearly white, reddish-purple, and silvery brown with a lovely rosy brown blush. Looks odd in the pan, but combines beautifully.Like a previous poster, these eyeshadows make my brown eyes velvety. Great Stila quality, as always.

Palettes -Stila - Perfectly Gold Fall 2005 Palette
rated 4 of 5

Good combo of staple neutrals. White-gold, true gold, and taupish-plum eyeshadows, plus a nude blush. All highly pigmented and blendable. Great for everyday use, but Stila comes out with palettes like this at least twice a year, so I won't be repurchasing.

Palettes -Stila - Perfectly Sage Palette Fall 2005
rated 5 of 5

I own all four perfectly palettes; this is my favorite by far. I love green on my brown eyes, and this palette creates the perfect smoky green eye. Colors are: pale gold, greenish-gold, and a deep forest green. Soft, buttery, and highly pigmented, these blend like a dream. Very impressed by this item- in fact, it lead me to purchase the rest of the collection. Can occasionally be found on the cheap on Ebay. If you can, buy this- you won't be disappointed!

Palettes -LORAC - Snake Charmer Face Palette
rated 5 of 5
nd1282 9/16/2007 3:45:00 AM

Tacky packaging (really, what were they thinking, faux snakeskin?) The product is stellar, though. Four shimmery neutral to warm eyeshadows that blend like a dream, plus a gorgeous peachy pink dupe of NARS Orgasm. Very lovely combination that can easily be transitioned for day to night.

Palettes -LORAC - Croc Palette
rated 5 of 5
nd1282 9/16/2007 3:38:00 AM

I own three LORAC palettes; this is the one I reach for the most. Gives a polished, glowy look to this neutral CCC. The blush is a perfect nude-pink on me, and the eyeshadows, while very warm, don't clash with my skintone as they do the cooler-toned MA ladies. In fact, they really bring out my brown eyes. Very impressed with this palette; in fact, this started my LORAC addiction! :)

Eye Shadow -Mary Kate and Ashley - Shimmer Plus | All Over Color
rated 5 of 5
nd1282 8/30/2006 12:27:00 AM

I love these versatile chubby little pencils! Cheap and multifunctional, they are from the Mary Kate & Ashley line at Walmart, of all places. I own four shades- Daredevil (frosty white), Chill (pale pink) Champagne Bronze, and Golden Bronze. I use all of them as eyeshadow bases and highlighters; the last two I also use on my lips. A very nice product for under $3!

Eye Shadow -L'Oreal - Wear Infinite Eye Shadow Quartet in Golden Sunrise Summer 2006
rated 5 of 5
nd1282 7/26/2006 11:35:00 PM

So cheap, so good, so surprising...as this is a product from the master purveyors of junky e/s in pretty packaging, L'oreal. Lovely summer into fall colors of bronze, gold, caramel, and olive green. Shimmery, universally flattering colors on warm-toned ladies. Look lovely on this CCC.

Eye Shadow -L'Oreal - Wear Infinite Eye Shadow Quartet in Bronze Sunset Summer 06
rated 5 of 5
nd1282 7/26/2006 11:27:00 PM

I'm kind of in shock at the moment. L'oreal eyeshadows are notoriously junky- lack pigment, quickly fade, yadda yadda yadda...so I was more than a little wary when I picked up this quad after reading the glowing reviews. But these e/s deserve the hype...they are fab! Silky, nicely pigmented, gorgeous colors...is this a fluke? Do my eyes deceive me? L'oreal has redeemed itself in my eyes for the time being...we'll see if the regular e/s line can live up to this quality. In the meanwhile I purchased an extra quad just in case.

Eye Shadow -Milani - Quad Earthly Delights
rated 4 of 5
nd1282 7/26/2006 11:09:00 PM

Lovely neutral quad on this CCC. Colors: matte olive green, shimmery greenish- yellow, gorgeous shimmery dark olive green, shimmery golden brown. The matte green isn't particularly pigmented, but the other three most definitely are. For $5, I'm not going to complain. Overall very nice.

Eye Shadow -Milani - Quad in Denim Blues
rated 5 of 5
nd1282 7/26/2006 11:03:00 PM

I am in love with Milani e/s in general...highly pigmented, smooth, long-lasting, and inexpensive...what's not to like? This is one of the many Milani quads that I have, and I always reach for it when I'm in the blue e/s state of mind. The colors: matte baby blue, shimmery white, shimmery blue-gray, dark shimmery blue. Makes my brown eyes pop!

Bronzers -L'Oreal - HIP Vibrant Shimmer Bronzing Powder Blessed
rated 5 of 5
nd1282 7/7/2006 2:10:00 AM

Overall, very nice. I am a CCC so I use this for light coverage on my face in lieu of powder + highlighter . It's finely milled and not at all chalky. A bit pricey for a drugstore product, but a little goes a long way. Includes a mirror and a (gasp!) useful brush.

Bronzers -L'Oreal - HIP Vibrant Shimmer Bronzing Powder in Glowing
rated 4 of 5
nd1282 7/7/2006 2:04:00 AM

Very nice overall. Pricey for a drugstore product, but finely milled and not at all chalky. Ditto for the previous poster- this is more of a highlighter than a bronzer.
