Eyes -MAC - Dirty Greasepaint stick

I already owned the black and B (blue) gps from previous collections so I knew what I was going to have coming in the Art Supplies collex; shadestick type of liners but just a million times better due to their amazing long-lasting qualities and dark, sultry colors (by the way, im a sucker for dark smokey eyes since on my nc35 skin it looks amazing). I only purchased Dirty since it was THE ONE i knew i'd use allll the time (taupey-black is almost universal nowadays, haha). At first glance, it looks like a burnt brown gold, kind of like Woodwinked+satin taupe eyeshadow with multicolored pearl! Once applied it was a taupe (no gold) but the pearl still remained! I saw green, pink and gold flex on top of a taupe, water-proof base. It looks absolutely TO DIE FOR. i put woodwinked on top and I almost drooled. I've been wearing it for 7 hours already and NO smudging or fading. greasepaint sticks are ALL keepers, unfortunately, i cant afford all, so at least I own this keeper.

Gorgeous color; a teal blue with gold pearl WITH a green duochrome! This shadow goes great with a dark purple in the crease (mac sketch or Signed Sealed for example). Britney Spears' makeup artist used this color on the lid in her video Slave 4 U by the way!

Lipstick -MAC - Peachstock (satin)

Now THIS nude I can deal with. Others are too pink making it seem like you just dont have lips, other (Nude attitude for example) are just a light shade of apricot, but THIS is the perfect mix between a peach and light brown, making a very flattering nude (especially for my nc35 skin). It doesnt completely erase the lips but it makes the lip "nude". Perfect for any look that has a darker lid color. Love this.

Great yellow-toned brown. amazing blendable matte texture. reminds me of MAC's Cork but sooo much easier to work with!! Love this for a soft brown look, for the crease, for the bottom lid... just for that nice brown eyed, natural look <3

Lipstick -MAC - Costa Chic
rated 5 of 5

I never got to get Chris & Tell from Lancome ( when it was too late I began to want it, of course) so I looked at pictures of it and looked for dupes everywhere. Costa Chic from MAC is almost it!!! even though the texture doesnt seem to be the same (not as creamy), it's still bold just like Lancome's and the color looks the exact same! A perfect blend of pink and orange to make a perfect coral- not too orange that looks a bit too exotic but not too pink that it doesnt seem like a pseudo-coral. I'm nc35, olive toned. This color looks perfect. just perfect! esp when im tan, but even without a tan it still brightens me up :) BTW this is not at counters but IS on their website :)

Eye Shadow -MAC - Print Eyeshadow
rated 5 of 5
lauralikes 3/8/2010 3:03:00 PM

LOVE this eyeshadow! a dark grey with slight shimmer. great off-black when we dont want to go full-out with the smokeyness. i love using a pale pink on the lid/brow (like orb) and then putting this in the crease for a defined yet slightly sultry eye. very Kim K. The pigmentation and blendability are GREAT. A staple eyeshadow for sure

Eye Shadow -MAC - Typographic (from Matte2)
rated 5 of 5
lauralikes 3/4/2010 4:27:00 PM

omg...I cant get over how much I'm loving this shadow. whenever you need the extra depth and smoldery sexiness, you think of a dark matte shadow, Carbon perhaps? but what happens when carbon is too black/inky and print is too grey!? you get typographic. a soft black. not as harsh, way more blendable. so much easier to make a smokey eye with Typo rather than carbon. it's sooo smooth and coal-like! love this.

Bronzers -MAC - Springshine
rated 5 of 5
lauralikes 2/11/2010 4:12:00 PM

Gorgeous reddish-bronze face powder. I use this as a bronzer (and im assuming most of us do) to get a gorgeous sun-kissed effect. I love how one half is darker than the other so if you wish to get more bronze, focus your brush on the darker; and if you wish to get a more tan color, focus the brush on the light brown. Blush ombres are bigger than regular MAC brushes, and, to my suprise...it's pigmented! I was afraid it was going to be weak in pigmentation since it's bigger, but Springshine at least is nice brown!

Lipstick -MAC - Beigeland
rated 3 of 5
lauralikes 2/11/2010 4:06:00 PM

I like that this is frosty and shimmery, so it gives my full lips a nice subtle but voluptuous look, and i also like how it doesnt look ashy. It's a pink-beige color. Picture a cream color base (cream product to create a highlight effect) in a pinkish brown color and this is basically it. I feel like this lipstick is meant to use more as a highlighter to put on top of another lipstick. It just looks so antiquated to walk around with frosty pink-brown lips...or is it just me? This l/s would look good with certain looks, but definitely not a go-to color. gotta work with it

Blush -Cargo - Tonga
rated 5 of 5
lauralikes 1/12/2010 7:19:00 PM

gorgeous! what a shame Cargo is leaving Sephora, but hey, 12 dollar blushes. This is one of the most pigmented matte blushes I've ever tried!!! This fleshy pink makes me look super natural and just fresh. To be honest there isnt much to say in terms of color, a good blush color's gonna make you look fresh LOL but what i can tell you is that a) pigmentation is fantastic, b) it shows up on my nc35 skin- i thought it wouldnt and c) jennifer aniston loves it. haha.

Lipstick -MAC - Equality
rated 5 of 5
lauralikes 1/7/2010 1:10:00 PM

Absolutely love this color! Lustre finish. Medium coverage. In the tube it looks beige, kind of like Myth but slightly more yellow. Since it's a Lustre it's not concealer-like like myth allowing a bit of your lip color to show. Since I have bright pink lips naturally, this lipstick works so well for me. The result when I apply it? A milky pink lip color. If you have pale lips I definitely recommend you try it on first because, honestly, I dont think it would work, just make you look kinda sick and... yellow. If your lips are pale and want to get a lippie from I recommend you check out Myself which was a gorgeous mauvey-pink also in a Lustre finish. PS: Love the name of this lippie.

Eye Shadow -MAC - Rich Life Pigment
rated 4 of 5
lauralikes 1/7/2010 1:03:00 PM

Very rich, highly pigmented, dark coffee brown. It has subtle silver sparkles making it look very special under certain lights but i feel like the glitter's kind of "thrown on". It's the same brown as Espresso e/s (dark and warm-toned) but wayyyy more pigmented and blendable. I dont like warm browns but this one is sooo dark that the warmth is only noticable once it's very blended. If you pack it on, it's dark brown. If you have Chocolate brown pigment you dont need this though. This is in the new pigment packaging which I find cuter even though there's a bit less product. Trying to be positive :) Still, gorgeous color and great consistency. More smooth and pigmented than the white one that came out with this All Ages, All races, All sexes.
