Eye Shadow -Maybelline - Color Tattoo 24hr Cream Gel Shadow in Fierce & Tangy

This color isn't usually in my shadow comfort zone, but if I apply it subtlely, it looks surprisingly good, esp. as a summer eye shadow. Lasts very long and also looks good paired with the silvery white Too Cool, try it!

Love the name of this, it's super long-wearing with only a slight shimmer but the base is pretty neutral. Looks good with just about anything and wears like crazy, I just hope they don't stop making this color, it's hard to find a greyish shadow that looks good on me. LOVE IT!!

Eye Shadow -Maybelline - Color Tattoo 24hr Cream Gel Shadow in Too Cool

I have been using this as a shadow base and it works amazingly well for that. I love the silvery white color and while it is very pretty on, you really need to blend this well for it to look right. Being that the color is light, you should apply a few layers, or it can go on unevenly. Other than that, I am in love with the CT line and went out and bought them all. These rock!!!

Eye Shadow -Maybelline - Color Tattoo 24hr Cream Gel Shadow in Tough as Taupe
rated 5 of 5

This is kinda a slightly muddy taupe, though with a nice shimmer to it. I don't like this as much as the bronze, but bronze is a metallic and this one is more neutral and opaque. The formula lasts very long and looks natural with tons of long wear. I am so glad Maybelline makes this wonderful product; ALL the colors rock and the wear is unmatched.

Eye Shadow -Maybelline - Color Tattoo 24hr Cream Gel Shadow in Pomegranate Punk

Love the reddish purple color of this, though once on, it is much more subtle than in the pot. As with the other colors in this line, this lasts the whole day, into night and then some. I just hope Maybelline never discontinues this product, it rocks!!!

Eye Shadow -Maybelline - Color Tattoo 24hr Cream Gel Shadow in Painted Purple

I don't use this as a shadow per se, but as a liner which seems to last very long. The color is seemingly very vivid med/dark purple, but once on, it is only about medium. Not sure why this got such a low rating, but as with all the rest of these, you need to use a sponge applicator and really sweep the product and smooth it, or it can overload; that's my only beef with this product. Other than that, I think this is brilliant!

Powder -Jane Iredale - Amazing Base Loose Finishing Powder

I love this mineral foundation so much, but honestly, I don't see much difference between this for $40 and L'oreal's $13 version. The wear is much longer than Bare Minerals and I love that this doesn't get oily as does the former. Looks very natural on and you can go lighter or heavier for evening. I do like this a lot, just wish they'd make a mineral foundation that would withstand water, oh well, won't hold my breadth.

I loved my first CT shadow (Bad to the Bronze) so much that I went out and bought all of them, including this one. These colors are very beautiful, shimmery, and last as long as the day is long, literally. I am so in love with these that I can't wait til they come out with more colors (hopefully, pink, please). What an awesome product!!!

Foundations -Milani - Creme to Powder
rated 5 of 5

SO glad I found this, as I loved MK's Cream-to-Powder foundation of old, but they changed the formula for some reason. Needless to say, I stopped using it and have been on the lookout for a similar product that I could use in the summer, being that my beloved mineral foundations don't hold up well during the hot summer mos. Covers imperfections beautifully and looks true to color as shown in the compact, not to mention the ultra luxe, very expensive looking packaging. Some might not like the flashy gold compact, but it's really what's inside that rocks. Great formula that holds up well through humidity, rain, and sweating. Awesome, very affordable and (finally) quality product I will be purchasing again. Got mine at CVS in buff beige (I'm light-light med.). Great stuff!

BB Cream -Garnier - BB Cream Miracle Skin Perfector - Light/Medium
rated 2 of 5

On the fence about this one, as the cream looked great on at first and then it seemed that it was too dark for my skin. Not only that, I had an infection near my nose and eye lids where I put the cream and I think I may be allergic to it, not sure whether this was the culprit or not. Will brave it out and try again once my infection is cleared up, but will have to wait and see and do an update soon. Update: I'm upgrading this to a four lippie, cause the effect is very nice, once the stuff settles. I think the key with this is to apply very sparingly, at least at first, and go from there. Btw, the infection I got prior, with my first application, has nothing to do with this, that's good news. Well, I am now downgrading to a 2 lippie after the orig. 4, as this made my skin break out and is way too oily for my normal/combo complexion. Am now trying the Youth Code version in light and hoping it works. Oh, did I mention that this is too dark for my light skin? I stand by this rating since I have now tried L'Oreal's Youth Code version in light which is faaar better in terms of keeping my skin oil-free and the effect is a brighter, more matte and renewed clarity facial skin. No way would I buy the Garnier version again.

Styling Products -L'Oreal - EverStyle Curl Activating Mousse
rated 5 of 5

Yes, I will gladly buy this again. Leaves my hair with seductive thickness and shine, doesn't dry it out, and body is renewed and my hair seems born again (without being christian) LOL. Wonder how they get this to add so much volume and hold without the alcohol.

Shampoo -L'Oreal - EverCreme Cleansing Conditioner
rated 5 of 5
cjenn 3/13/2012 6:14:00 PM

Have to say I love this stuff. It's nice to have the luxury of three conditioners in this formula. I was skeptical at first, but this really shines, smooths, and adds a nice conditioner without weigh down nor greasy after feel. This is a winner, and it's more economical in that you really don't need a separate conditioner.

Moisturizers -Palmers - Night Renewal Cream
rated 5 of 5
cjenn 3/8/2012 6:08:00 PM

I have to say, I went into this Palmer's Cocoa Butter thing with some degree of scepticism, as I had tried the body lotion back in 2004 and couldn't stand the overly chocolate scent. However, I saw this facial care product in the Palmer's isle and bought it based on the eight natural ingredients including retinol, vit E, cocoa butter, shea butter, etc. Upon using it faithfully each night, I have to say, my skin is brighter, smoother, and more refined looking than three weeks ago; before buying this. It's an interesting hybrid of floral and natural cocoa butter (in a less chocolate setting than the body lotion). I am very impressed with this night cream which seems super thick and oily at first, but transforms into a matte, smooth consistency once on the skin. Will have to see how this fares over the long haul, but so far sooooo good. UPDATE*-Still an awesome cream and the high ratings for this and other Palmers facial care products is very well deserved!

Styling Products -L'Oreal - EverStyle Volume Root Lifting Spray
rated 4 of 5

So far, I am really loving this new EverStyle line, coupled with the soon to be legendary EverCréme Conditioning shampoo. This doesn't have alcohol and does seem to be pretty good at adding volume to my style. My hair looks great, feels soft and supple and all without the dreaded and very drying alcohol. Awesome stuff.

Fragrances -Elizabeth Arden - Halston
rated 4 of 5
cjenn 2/9/2012 5:28:00 PM

The bottle is so classic, so reminiscent of Studio 54 and the heyday of disco what with Halston himself holding court at the bar of the original New York discotheque. That said, I always remember my mom had this bottle on her dresser and it just screamed 1970s! It's very powdery on the top notes and is ultra sexy and made for the confident woman!!!! LOVE THIS classic fragrance.
