Polishes -OPI - Samoan Sand
aznbunny 4/10/2011 6:08:00 PM
A single layer all over the nails, with the addition of white polish on the tips, gives the perfect French manicure. 3 coats of Samoan Sand and a top coat gives a classy everyday nude nail look which is appropriate for school and work. To play it up, I apply 2-3 coats and paint on various designs (checkers, flowers, etc) because this color is just so versatile. It's not streaky (dries on smooth) and does not chip easily with a top coat. Definitely worth the investment.

Top/Base Coats -OPI - Natural Nail Base Coat
aznbunny 4/9/2011 1:44:00 PM
It prevents staining, but I don't find that my polishes adhere better to my nails. Chipping still occurs after a few days as if it doesn't make a difference whether a base coat is applied or not. Won't be repurchasing.

Polishes -OPI - Texas Collection 2011 Guy Meets Gal-veston
aznbunny 4/9/2011 1:32:00 PM
Not my favorite. I'm left with streaks after it dries (if I apply a single coat), but if I apply multiple coats it does smooth out. It's not the coral-y color I wished it would be, because if you build the color up it becomes more of a glossy red. Under the sun/natural lighting the coral tones definitely pick up, but otherwise it just looks red. I may have a discrepancy against OPI sheer, satin-y colors, because I'm really only a fan of their opaque, milky-like formulas.

Polishes -OPI - My Private Jet
aznbunny 2/17/2011 4:51:00 PM
I'm not happy about the price increases at ALL my local salons, but what can I do, right? However I am extremely happy with this steele grey shade, as it is opaque enough, and the shimmer adds quite a bit of dimension. I don't own a lot of OPI polishes but this is probably my favorite. I bought it as I knew it was being discontinued. As shallow as it seems, my incentive for purchasing My Private Jet came from Kim Kardashian, as I knew she also wears this from time to time ><. Whatever the reason for buying it, if you're considering My Private Jet, get it now!! It's one of a kind and it'll be off the shelves before you know it.

Eye Shadow -MAC - Paint Pot in Painterly

Great texture. Serves as a good base for e/s (they don't fade or crease) but the PPT has tried out WAY too quickly.

Mascara -Maybelline - Volum' Express The Colossal Waterproof
aznbunny 8/1/2010 12:53:00 AM
Finally, a waterproof mascara that's buildable AND holds curl! I have short straight Asian lashes, and if it's not waterproof it doesn't do anything for me. I used to use Maybelline Lash Stylist Waterproof (my HG <3) all the time, but it's been long discontinued so I had to find another mascara of equal caliber. I've tried Lash Blast waterproof and Lash Stiletto waterproof - both hold curls but don't lengthen or volumize. Colossal does. It's still not as great as Lash Stylist (it's more wet and voluminous), but if I apply two coats of Colossal it'll give similar results. Could be better. Still finding a replacement for my HG =(.

Mascara -MAC - Opulash
aznbunny 7/21/2010 1:57:00 PM
For someone with sparse, short, stick-straight lashes, I can't help but have high standards for mascara. I was bored over the weekend and decided to play with EVERYTHING in MAC. For a MAC mascara, this really surprised me. The SA taught me to put on a coat, let it dry for a few seconds, then apply a second coat. Pretty darn good results; lengthened and voluminous lashes. However, my number one priority and requirement is that my mascara HOLDS CURL. This mascara, like other non-waterproof counterparts, fail to hold the curl to my lashes as they droop upon application. It's really not a bad mascara and I'm sure it would work for those who have longer and more abundance of lashes. I'm just still on my hunt to find my HG mascara...

Blush -NARS - Torrid
aznbunny 7/13/2010 9:11:00 PM
It has great staying power and a little product DOES go a long way, however on my skin the coral tones don't really show up. Maybe it's because my skin has way too many reddish pink undertones. It looks nice on me - very natural and pretty, but it's just not what I expected it to be. I assume that if your skin is more yellow based it'll look amazing. Will not be repurchasing.

Eye Shadow -MAC - Bronze Eyeshadow
aznbunny 7/11/2010 5:53:00 PM
I agree with abbyyy. Woodwinked and Bronze are NOT the same. Go to the MAC store and swatch it yourself. Bronze is the perfect shimmery brown shade that suits any occassion. It's subtle enough for daytime, but if you want a sultry smoky night time look, just build it up and pair with slightly darker colors. I've been using this almost everyday for summer, because under the sun it's just gorgeous. The consistency is terrific - frosty but not glittery, and it's very blendable. It's also versatile as you can pair it with many other eyeshadows (such as Woodwinked)!

Mascara -L'Oreal - Voluminous mascara
aznbunny 7/11/2010 5:45:00 PM
This mascara's gotten rave reviews from many gurus out there, but everyone should take the overall rating (3.7/5) into consideration. There's a reason why Voluminous is not an outstanding mascara - it is simply mediocre. It provides some volume and some length, but not a whole lot. My biggest problem is that it DOES NOT HOLD THE CURL of your lashes. I've come to realize that only waterproof mascaras accomplish this, so I don't know why I even bothered trying L'oreal Voluminous. Simply does not work for me.

Mascara -Maybelline - Lash Stiletto - Waterproof
aznbunny 7/9/2010 6:06:00 PM
This mascara is sooo dry it's barely buildable. It gives a teeny bit of length but no volume whatsoever. My favorite mascara is Maybelline Lash Stylist waterproof (discontinued) and I'm still on the hunt for a mascara of equal caliber.

Eye Shadow -MAC - Paint Pot in Coral Crepe
aznbunny 5/16/2010 8:31:00 PM
This paintpot is truly one of a kind. It's coral with golden and reddish undertones, where a sheer application brings out a golden pinky coral, but if you build up the intensity, it becomes more red. I put on a thin layer as a base for my shadows (I don't use primer underneath - I have always trusted PPs to prevent creasing/fading). It pairs well with browns, bronze, gold, pinks, corals, oranges and red shadows. For the past few days I've used Coral Crepe as a base, with Paradisco e/s on the lid and Bronze e/s in the crease, and I'm loving it! Such a pretty summer look. Coral Crepe is an AMAZING PP, super versatile with a range of shadow colors and fits practically any skin tone. If it weren't LE I'd definitely repurchase. I don't know where I'd find a dupe for this!!

Eye Shadow -MAC - Paradisco (Frost)
aznbunny 4/28/2010 8:08:00 PM
A nice pinky coral with a frosty finish. I use it as an all-over wash on my lids, but I like to use it as a blush the most, because for the eyes it lacks pigmentation. I gotta say, it's a magnificent cheek color that's similar to Springsheen blush. It's really pretty, but definitely dupe-able and not unique to the brand. Only buy it if you wanna spend the money :P.

Mascara -Maybelline - Lash Stiletto Voluptuous Waterproof
aznbunny 4/28/2010 8:02:00 PM
I was back and forth about whether I should buy this, and I finally decided to pick it up yesterday. It was about $9 (Canadian Walmart) and god dammit - how this mascara looks on me does NOT reflect previous reviews here on MUA. This mascara isn't horrible, I'll give you that. What I like about it most is that it holds the curl to my lashes REALLY WELL :) and it also gives my lashes length. However, I don't get any volume from it, and the application is a hassle. With the design of the brush, it's hard to get product onto your lashes and build the mascara. Compared to other mascaras I've tried, Lash Stiletto Voluptuous Waterproof doesn't plump up my lashes. I don't appreciate that. However, if you're going for that all-naturale, no-make up make up look then this is the perfect mascara. I'm just the type of gal who goes for the thick, bold lash look no matter the occassion.

Palettes -MAC - Pro Colour Palette/Small Eye Shadow
aznbunny 4/25/2010 6:47:00 PM
The concept is great. The Pro Colour Palette does its job in keeping all MAC eye shadows in one place, but it's not accident-proof IMO. Yes, it's magnetized and the pans stick to the palette relatively well, but if you shook/dropped the palette your eyeshadows could pop out. Also, it's kinda pricey in my opinion. With the recent price increase I'm not all that happy!
