This definitely enhances my complexion! I have this in shade #3 which is a more fleshy tone that looks too dark to suit my pale skin in the tube but actually melts right into my skin imparting a slight shimmer and radiance. I chose this over the YSL Tinted Moisturizer for the summer and I think I made the right choice. I couldn't quite wait until summer so started using this already. Thumbs up for this one!
Eye Shadow -Lancome - Colour Dose Eyeshadow-Lilac Valley
alicecrybaby 3/8/2004 1:22:00 AM
Lilac Valley is a beautiful soft lilac with pearly shimmer. It comes (as all colour doses) in a cute little 0.29oz tube and retails for $16. The color can be thinned out for a more shimmery pearlescent effect, or layered to bring out the lilac. Can be applied with fingers or a concealer brush. Dries fast to a slightly powdery pinish and lasts all day without exaggeration.
Eye Shadow -Lancome - Colour Dose - Midnight Sylvie

This is my least favorite colour dose but still a very good shadow. It looks exactly like the Chanel Aqua Crayon in Steel when on the lids and wears like a dream with no creasing. I think it is the color of this that's putting me off from wearing it more often because it tends to be way too metallic for me. Other than that, if this steel grey steel metallic color actually works for you, the wear and quality of this product are exceptional.
Eye Shadow -Lancome - Colour Dose - Flamingo Coast

Love this pale pearly pink shimmer for a daytime look to brighten my eyes and truly make them "pop". As with all colour doses, this wears like a dream throughout the day and well into the night (sometimes if I'm going out right after class I'll apply eyeshadow over this for a darker more dramatic look). I apply this with a small concealer brush to keep hands clean and to speed the process up. Great find!
This is my absolute favorite colour dose (I own 4, but tried all the US colors). It makes for a great base for my fave Chanel Vega but I also wear it alone, thinned down for a natural taupy bronzy shimmer or layered for a more dramatic look. Applies like a dream(I use a small concealer brush for this), lasts all day (without exaggeration) and is the best shadow I've found in the last year. Go CDs! Wish they'd bring more colors to the US.
I picked this over Magic Spell and I love it. It's a great bronzy peachy gloss on me. As with other lipglasses the wear is exceptional, but my only gripe is the spngy brush. I wish MAC would drop that brush because it's so hard to wash and keep from spreading bacteria.I just compared it to Lancome JT in Simmer and Enchantress is much more bronzy and warm on me.
This is a pretty color, but it is too light for my taste. Would be awesome as a shadow though. Also, it barely lasted for 2 hours on my lids even over a base. So if they made this into a shadow, and changed the formula to make it last longer I'd buy it. but as it is, I wouldn't buy this again.
This is my favorite lipglass so far (I only own 3 so far though). It shows up as a purply pinky shimmer on my lips and looks amazing. As with other lipglasses the wear is great, and my only wish is that they'd drop the spongy hard to wash brushes, and swap them for something like the bourjois 3D gloss brushes.
Blush -MAC - Cream Color Base in Fantastic Plastic
alicecrybaby 3/8/2004 12:45:00 AM
This is my first CCB and it's been a disappointment. It looks like a bright pink in the pot but it does not show up on me at all, and only makes my cheeks look and feel greasy. I really expected it to be much better as a cream blush but it is impossible to get it to show up and on lids it creases in 2 seconds. I am taking it back tomorrow and exchanging it for something else.
Eyeliner -Bourjois - Liquid Eyeliner - Liner Parfait

I guess the court is generally still out on this one, but I love it personally. I tried the black color finally today at Sephora and couldn't help but buy it. It is extremely easy to use, true color (unlike watery streaky Maybelline). It has been about 5 hours and the e/l is still in perfect condition. My lids don't burn/hurt like some of the other reviewers'. It also dried fairly fast on me-15-20 seconds. I didn't have to keep my eyes closed during those seocnds, just had to not open them too wide because the liner did feel pretty wet for that time. I will be trying more of these, and will say no to spending $28 on the Chanel liquid eyeliner. This is also very reasonably priced-I think I paid $14.So bottomline, if nothing suddenly goes terribly awry, I will continue loving this.
Cleansers -Clarins - Gentle Foaming Cleanser for Dry or Sensitive Skin
alicecrybaby 1/25/2004 10:19:00 PM
I was recommended this to help with my combination skin gone crazy in the harsh Boston winter. This, as has been said, does not foam well. For that reason I use my hands with this, not my Shiseido brush. However, this still works very well as I can tell and I noticed an improvement immediately.I will continue using this during the cold months, but probably use something else for the summer.Update:Well, it's almost a year later, and I am still in love with this stuff. I got curious a few times during this past year and tried about 4 or 5 different cleansers and just returned the last of them and bought a new tube of this stuff. Amazing!
Toners -Avalon Organics Botanicals - Therapeutic Lavender Facial Toner
alicecrybaby 1/24/2004 1:56:00 PM
I exchanged the Avalon Lemon Verbena Deodorant for this, and I am very glad I did. This is very gentle but cleansing at the same time. I haven't had this for too long, but sometimes if I'm really out of it and can't wash my face, I will at least use this and it sweeps away makeup(not eye mu of course) well enough so that I never get breakouts even without a proper wash. It doesn't dry out my already dried out winter skin and feels and smells wonderfully refreshing. Will buy again.
I really like this color-it shows up as a slightly frsity pinky nude on my lips, very pretty. This is my first lipglass and although I love the look and smell of it, the incredible stickiness and the sponge wand are two drawbacks for me. I wish MAC would change the sponge applicator to something else (like Bourjois 3D lipgloss applicators). The stickiness also bothers me a little bit because my lips almost get stuck together. Otherwise, I think I will repurchase this color.
I love this organic natural deodorant. While I do not have sensitive skin it is still nice to know that this won't cause irritation. The smell is divine-I was shopping around for a new deodorant because I got tired of same ole Secret and Dove all the time. This is a nice (and perhaps permanent)change. Lemon verbena is so refreshingly citrusy. It lasts on me in the winter all day long and doesn't leave nasty white cast on my tops and sweaters.Basically,I love this. But I will update if this isn't strong enough for the summer. UPDATE: I noticed that this doesn't work as well as Secret on me-just doesn't last as long. I love the smell, but the staying power just isn't there. I exchanged it for Avalon Lavender Toner.
I only have one of these in Patent Red and I will definitely be buying more. I was afraid of the red color of this lacquer because it looked vampish, but on me it showed up as more of a bluish pinkish red-very very pretty. These are extremely smooth and come in a few varieties-creamy ones without shimmer, irridescent and shimmery. This wears extremely well and has good staying power. It feels amazingly light on the lips and not sticky. I also love the bullet-like tube packaging-gives it a little something. And the price is right especially since aura Science constantly has sales of 20-40%. Love, love, love these and highly recommend. A+++
