Eyeliner -L'Oreal - Hip Color Chrome Eyeliner Violet Volt 965

Misleading name, indeed. Gave it away as it wasn't really violet, but black with a hint of purple.

Lipstick -NARS - Pure Matte - Bangkok

Neutral light-to-medium pink. Applies slightly powdery, but it's far from dry. It's not drying, either. There's an ever so subtle golden sheen to it -- visible only really up close -- which gives it some dimension. Although I prefer Sephora's Maniac Mat formula to this, it's not bad per se.

Blush -NARS - Desire

I need to be very careful when applying this as it's amazingly long-lasting and pigmented. Shows up as a vibrant matte reddish pink on me, and I find it best for evening use.

Blush -Chanel - Joues Contraste Powder Blush
Magdalena 5/25/2012 7:04:00 PM
The shades I use are the EU and US versions of #44 Narcisse (the former is cooler, the latter peachier) and the US edition of #68 Rose Écrin -- and so far I like the JC formula: it's got the right amount of pigmentation and a pleasing scent; the powder is finely milled, and it produces a subtly glowing color on cheeks. What I don't like about it is that the compact only opens 90° and the brushes are pitiful.

Blush -Chanel - Joues Contraste in Rose Ecrin

This neutral-to-warm, light-to-medium rose looks beautifully glowy and sophisticated on cheeks. It's pretty pigmented and has the usual lovely JC scent. (Also, the US version has a brush that's not quite as terrible as the EU one.)

This looks so pretty that I haven't been able to bring myself to use it -- and I've had it for a year. But one of these days I will, and then I'll update this review!

Bronzers -Clinique - True Bronze pressed powder bronzer - Sunkissed
Magdalena 5/25/2012 5:53:00 PM
Haven't used it much since I got it, so I guess I'm just not into bronzer, really. But the few times I've applied it, it has looked good -- in a warm glow sort of way. (While it does have some shimmer, it's not over the top.) Overall, though, not an essential product for me.

Blush -Clarins - Blush Prodige 01 "Lovely Rose"
Magdalena 5/25/2012 4:11:00 PM
A lovely rose, indeed! It's a neutral soft pink that looks very fresh on my cheeks, making them look naturally flushed. I find it pigmented, finely milled and easy to apply with its own brush (which is much better than the small brushes usually found in blush compacts). The compact also includes a highlighting shade -- a cooler, paler pink with teensy silvery sparkles. They glint under certain lights, but they're not too bad.

Blush -Christian Dior - Diorblush

I have this in #919 Paradise Glow/Rose Tahiti, a pale cool pink that easily shows up on my skin (EL DWL Intensity 1.0, Lancome Teint Miracle Ivoire 1N, Revlon Buff). The "glowing" side has subtle silver shimmer that produces a whitish sheen when applied. The brush it comes with is pretty decent, and it's the only brush I use to apply this blush. It's big (7.5g), so it's good value for money; it lasts a long while.

Eyeliner -GOSH - Velvet Touch Eyeliner

Excellent eyeliners. I have two: 'Purple Stain' (a vibrant blue-based violet) and 'Golden Moss' (a gilded olive), and I'm very happy with them. They're easy to work with and stay put until I remove my makeup.

Brows -GOSH - Eyebrow Pencil

'Greybrown' is a taupe that seems too dark for my blond brows, but it works wonderfully when I apply it lightly and comb it through. (Application is quick and easy as it's powdery, non-waxy, smooth and blendable.) The best thing of all: not even a hint of red in it.

Lips -Revlon - Just Bitten Lip Stain
Magdalena 5/24/2012 11:59:00 AM
I have 'Passion' and 'Desire', and they're both long lasting and stain my lips even coupled with lip balm, unlike some other drugstore lip stains I've tried. The marker can apply a bit unevenly, however, so you have to a) have smooth lips for it to work best and b) paint on the color carefully.

Lips -Revlon - Just Bitten Lipstain - Desire
Magdalena 5/24/2012 11:37:00 AM
Shows up on my pigmented lips as a rosy mauve with bluish red undertones. At the same time it's transparent and looks very natural. I love that it's non-drying and non-irritating. It fades evenly as it wears and the balm doesn't wipe it off.

A bright hot pink that looks fresh against my pale skin and lasts at least a couple of hours. Can be built up to reach its full intensity by adding more coats, and fades very gradually. I don't find it drying or irritating, which is always a plus.

Powder -Clarins - Everlasting Compact Foundation SPF 15
Magdalena 5/16/2012 1:49:00 PM
The lightest available shade in the US, #104 Cream, is a good match for me when I'm not at my palest. The powder is very finely milled, gives great long-lasting coverage, and feels silky. (The SPF is mineral-based and doesn't bother my sensitive skin.) Excellent compact, as well: seems sturdy, opens 180°, and has a big mirror.
