Liquid -Lancome - Photogenic [DISCONTINUED]

With this foundation, it really depends on how much you use of it. When I use it, I try to to keep the amount in my palm minimal, and I only apply it to places where I know where the skin is going to need some extra coverage. Like others, I like to dilute it with a little bit of moisturizer to help it go on sheerer. I don't put a whole lot on though, because it does tend to give the skin a mask-like appearance if it is applied with a heavy hand. After I'm done with applying, I like to take oil blotting papers or tissue and blot the extra oil off, so all that's left is the pigment. After that I use an oil-obsorbing powder and then it's ready to go! Like I said though, once you learn how to work with it, you'll find out what a great foundation this can be.

Concealers -Lancome - Photogenic Skin-Illuminating Concealer SPF 15 ] [DISCONTINUED]
rated 5 of 5

In my spare time I like working on my makeup skills, and sometimes my husband volunteers to be my "victim" for the evening. He has oily skin and very large pores, so when I applied my MAC Studio Finish concealer on his face, it started to crease and cake within minutes. So, we went out to town to go look through the mall and see what they had to offer as far as concealer went. We had looked through quite a few counters until running into the Lancome counter. I tried the concealer on him, and it ended up being a perfect match. As soon as we got back I tried it on him, and the results I had with this were fantastic! The application was smooth and seamless - the main factor being that the product did not cake! (No creasies either!) Not only that, but it continued to look gorgeous throughout the evening. I have also used this on my cousin for her prom, and it also lasted her the whole night through! I think this was definitely I worthwhile purchase!

Lip Liners -Sally Hansen - Invisible Lip Liner
rated 5 of 5
Lividity 4/25/2006 8:09:00 AM

I was hunting around Walgreens, and I happened to spot this nice little gem of cosmetic wonder. It had definitely been worth the money that I put down for it, and it has now become a staple in my makeup case. There are days when I feel like I don't want to wear lipliner that shows, so I grab this and line my lips before applying gloss, or lipstick by itself. A definite repurchase. Ah, I think Vanilla Sky is a little bit confused as to how it works.

Eye Shadow -Avon - Eyeshadow duos
rated 1 of 5
Lividity 4/17/2006 4:34:00 AM

I wouldn't say that they are entirely bad eyeshadows, but they are certainly not the best by far. Some of the shimmers seem to do okay, but that's about all they really have going on as far as the eyeshadow department goes. They're really not anything to sing about, especially some of the more "richer matte" colors which in many cases, really don't show up at all. Some people who buy this stuff will tell you that what you get is not what you see in the brochure. The color usually ends up being entirely different than what is seen, and some of the shimmers really don't look like shimmers at all. Another complaint that most people have is that these shadows seem entirely too soft. Some of them are soft enough to where they break apart completely by barely touching them! The cases are just as prone to breakage as the eyeshadows are, which also makes this eyeshadow a really huge problem. Also, alot of people complain about it irritating their eyes, and skin around the eyes. I've known some people who don't have sensitive eyes at all wear this and they end up having some sort of eye irritation. Seriously, give it some thought before you pay Avon Lady.

I just got my Kryolan tonight, and I will say that I'm very happy with the product! These are some very unique colors, which is the main reason why I wanted to pick them up so badly! I will definitely repurchase again!

Eye Shadow -Ben Nye - Pearl Sheen Eye Shadow
rated 5 of 5
Lividity 4/11/2006 6:53:00 AM

I saw these and absolutely fell in love! These are definitely comparable to MAC, and they are also much cheaper than MAC. As with other Ben Nye eye products, the colors are beautiful, and the texture is smooth. Very easy to apply!

Crème -Ben Nye - Matte Foundation
rated 5 of 5
Lividity 4/11/2006 6:48:00 AM

I had heard quite a bit about Ben Nye, and I decided to try it for myself. Color me impressed! It's not as matte as the magazine, and the box like to suggest, but it actually very moist, and super easy to blend. It definitely covered my imperfections, as well as my rosacea. This will definitely become a staple in my makeup bag!

Crème -Merle Norman - Total Finish Compact Makeup
rated 1 of 5
Lividity 4/2/2006 3:08:00 AM

I don't know about the rest of you, but I tried this crap today, and it looked so damn horrible!!! Oh man, I tried to blend, but I guess that just wasn't good enough! It felt heavy, and it made my skin look extra flakey! All in all, this stuff was absolute crap! Thankfully I did not buy this stuff!

Lipstick -Cover Girl - Continuous Color Lipstick in Iceblue Pink
rated 2 of 5
Lividity 3/1/2006 1:43:00 AM

I wore this back in high school, when I was dumb, and didn't have alot of money to toss around. I still think to this day that the color itself is rather impressive (that's why there's the extra lippie), but I don't like the fact that Cover Girl's lipsticks never last - EVER! There are alot better lipsticks out there than the ones that Cover Girl is selling.

Lipstick -Cover Girl - In the Nude Lipstick
rated 1 of 5
Lividity 3/1/2006 1:39:00 AM

I don't know why they call this a nude, because it's definitely not a nude. It's pink, and when you apply it to your lips, it turns into a pink. Big, big lie. Another reason why I haven't repurchased Cover Girl, and will continue to avoid this product.

Lipstick -Cover Girl - Continuous Color Lip Stick [DISCONTINUED]
rated 1 of 5
Lividity 3/1/2006 1:35:00 AM

When it comes to lipsticks, Cover Girl has a somewhat nice color selection, but sometimes the formulations (and the colors) can be a miss, or a total MISS!! This is one that is a TOTAL MISS! This is definitely not continuous, not matter how many times one may press their lips together! It just simply does not last at all - you got an hour and a half tops, but that's about it ladies! Seriously, if I could, I would give this stuff absolutely NO LIPPIES, no lippies at all. It's not worth laying down the money.

Foundations -Max Factor - foundations (all)
rated 1 of 5
Lividity 3/1/2006 1:26:00 AM

I was never really impressed with the selection of foundations from MAX FACTOR. They're all either too orange, too pink, and sometimes the application of the formula just straight up sucks! I don't mind some of the other few products in this line (although you tend to find quite a few more duds than you do gems), I definitely will not go back with this brand. I used to wear this at one time, but I hated how streaky it looked, and how cakey it looked on my face. My mother still uses it. As a matter of fact, she uses panstick. This stuff looks absolutely horrid on her, as it looks incredibly flakey, and doesn't cover what it should cover. It even balls up on her face, and that's about the time that I get tempted to reach over and blend it out again. If anyone who is reading this thinks about trying the foundation, I suggest that you think again, and look at the other products in the line before you decide to make a purchase.

Foundations -Max Factor - Pan-Cake [DISCONTINUED]
rated 2 of 5
Lividity 3/1/2006 1:18:00 AM

This is not the best product on the market when it comes to pancake makeup. The real thing applies much better than what this stuff does, trust me. Joe Blasco, Ben Nye, and RCMA are the best brands to use when looking for decent pancake makeup that looks just as fantastic in real life as it does in photos. Not only that, but you get a helluva lot more product for your buck. I really don't think this stuff is really worth throwing down the money for...

Lipstick -Max Factor - Lipfinity
rated 2 of 5
Lividity 3/1/2006 12:47:00 AM

This got two lippies because the staying power was pretty good, and I liked the brightness of the color that I bought. This lipstick lasted quite awhile, although I do agree with the previous poster that it did leave a line around the lips, and that it did tend to gather at the corners of the mouth. The thing that I didn't like was how it drying it was to my lips, because as soon as I got it on, I wanted to take it off. This really wasn't the money that I shelled out for it. I did continue to use the moisturizer that came with it, but I never used the color itself again.

Mascara -Max Factor - Lash Perfection
rated 5 of 5
Lividity 3/1/2006 12:41:00 AM

I really loved this mascara. There was no clumping, and it didn't make my lashes feel like I had tons of product just glopped on them. The application was just absolutely flawless! The brush was really neat as well! I really suggest that this be a part of every woman's makeup bag!
