I've got this as a tester in a store. As I am by far not a Clinique fan I was glad to find a surprisingly a good cleanser among their products. It kept my skin fresh and non-oily throughout the whole day and the skin was really comfortable with it. Didn't dry out the skin, as I was afraid. The smell is also very pleasant: fresh and discreet. Also, this seems quite gentle so extra bonus. However, I do think it's a bit too overrated and overpriced since cheaper cleansers could do just as well and sometimes better. So I don't think I'd ever buy this.
Moisturizers -Sisley - Botanical moisturizer w/ cucumber

I've got a sample of this so first of all, and I definitely wouldn't buy it. Here's why. It's a very simple moisturiser with average properties, which I didn't find so intense. So, obviously, it's not worth the money. Also I do not like the smell, not at all. The ingredients don't seem to be very diverse and powerful. Finally, this cream is too rich and oily for my skin, so not a good choice for oily or combination skin. It does provide great hydration, but be careful. My face was oily all the time until I washed it all off with a cleanser. It could be a good idea to use this as a night cream, but I think it's too pricey for that. Your choice though.
Masks -Sisley - Masque Givre - Botanical Mask with Linden Blossom
Kayraven 2/9/2009 11:48:00 AM
This in general is a good mask with a nice smell. I like the thick texture and that it's natural. White and simple is also an advantage. I really like that it's calming and soft, does make it feel as if you're in SPA at home, very relaxing. Skin is not oily afterwards and completely clean. It does tend to be a tiny bit tight, but I believe it's due to the fact that this mask decreases pores size. But you know, even considering all these positive effects it's not enough. I expected more. This is not enough to justify the price. So in the overall it's quite average. I believe there are similar products at a much less painful price. So I wouldn't personally buy it.
It's a soft scrub with little exfoliating particles, gel texture and a very pleasant smell, which I personally really like. What a major disadvantage is that the sugar bits are too small and melt too quickly. Also the grape particles tend to be too little as well. I like the exfoliating properties, however, no HG item for me. It's still good though. However, the skin doesn't get very nourished and moisturised afterwards. But that's good for me 'cause I was looking for a scrub and not a moisturiser. I'd say it's pretty good for me, but not for those whose demands are higher.
This is one of the best scrubs I've tried. It gives you soft, glowing, even, clean skin instantly. The smell is fantastic, it's discreet, neutral and very natural. I love the soft texture with little exfoliating bits that don't melt away. It dries quickly on the skin so the procedure is really fast, yet extremely effective. I adore my skin afterwards. It's radiant and comfortable. And the effect is quite lasting. That means the product lasts long. Also the way you use this scrub is different from the usual, which was a pleasant surprise. Everything about the product is perfect, but the price. It is really expensive. However, Sisley does produce wonderful things, so for myself I could justify spending all this much. Definite keeper.
These glosses have really nice names and wonderful shades in a variety. Have a pleasant smell and not a tacky taste, however, feel as very thick and sticky on the lips, which is a major disadvantage. The packaging is nice, but I personally don't love it. The wand is nice, it's convenient, but I don't like the silver top. The product is priced reasonably and not overly expensive. Though still wouldn't buy since I don't like such sticky glosses.
Lip Gloss -Calvin Klein - Delicious Pout Flavored Lip Gloss

This is the new gloss in CK makeup line, I believe. It has a thick texture, feels sort of gooey and sticky, which is not comfortable for me. The colours appear very sheer and the glitter looks very nice. The flavour is not so obvious, however, the smells are wonderful! It has good staying power, which I believe is due to the thick formula. The package looks good, but I personally do not find it in any way convenient. And it doesn't really look chick or any beautiful, more casual I'd say. The price is a bit too high for the product, still I wouldn't call it expensive. Wouldn't buy.
This gloss is one of the most soothing, moisturising, smooth, nourishing, soft lip gloss I've tried. I love that it has no smell or taste, comes in a tube with a great applicator brush (though I do not particularly like that it's synthetic), which makes it really easy to put on even without the lip pencil. The colour is nude pink with gold or peach, which makes it look pink or peach on my lips depending on the light. It's probably a perfect neutral colour. It's not a shiny one, but is really frosty. I also enjoy the shimmer very much. The gloss is highly pigmented, which is a great advantage. Though I do not particularly like the tube design.. somehow reminds me of the cheap fake Asian glosses. But great product despite that.
A well pigmented soft moisturising lip gloss. It's completely non-sticky and not gooey, unlike most glosses to me. Has no tacky taste, looks good on the lips and stays on well. This product has a broad variety of shades to choose from, which is a definite benefit. The only flaw is the artificial smell, which I can't bear so definitely no repurchase. It is not cheap, however, very reasonably priced. I also adore the tube design a lot and the wand is very convenient. I would repurchase if only it smelled better.
This is a soft lip balm with nice texture and an incredibly appealing peach-almond smell. It's not very nourishing, so the properties of the treatment as a balm are quite low. It has a white-creamy colour, which I personally really like. However, the way it looks on the lips is not too flattering. It stays in each crease and somehow makes lips feel rough and scratchy. Which, in my opinion, is the exact opposite of the way lip balm should make youк lips feel. I don't like the packaging either, it's really not convenient to get the balm out of the tube. Also, the design is not very pretty. Yes, it is cheap, has a lovely colour and smells great, but I still wouldn't repurchase. UPDATE: No moisture whatsoever, does nothing for my lips. Rubbish.
Mascara -Yves Saint Laurent - Mascara Volume Effet Faux Cils
Kayraven 2/2/2009 10:09:00 PM
This is probably one of the best mascaras out there. It gives beautiful, long, dramatic (but not over-the-top), voluminous lashes. I also noticed how rich in colour this mascara is. Love the glossy finish it delivers. The fruity floral smell is a wonderful bonus, which not very many mascaras have. It is also very easy to master and does not take too much time with application. One coat is enough for creating a fantastic everyday lashes, two coats would give you very dramatic effect, which would make your eyes stand out. The gold tube looks luxury and extremely stylish. The wand is very convenient, not oversized, not overly long, doesn't take too much of the product, just fine. I would probably repurchase if I have the money and there wouldn't be a better alternative.
This is a good hair treatment if you don't expect too much. It does a good job in straightening, smoothing and untangling your hair, but I didn't really notice it adding too much shine. At least not as much as I wanted to. The hair is soft afterwards and smells really nice. However, the smell of the product itself is really artificial. Also I didn't like that there are no purely natural ingredients. The packaging is nice too, which makes it possible to use up all of the product. I probably wouldn't repurchase cause I'm looking for something that would make my hair shinier.
Moisturizers -Sisley - Hydra Global Intense Anti-Aging Hydration

Got a sample of this in a store and was eager to try due to my love of Sisley products. As soon as I opened it, I knew I didn't like it: the smell was horrible and way too strong. The cream is very rich and moisturising, however, very oily for my combination skin. After a minute or so after application, for some unknown reason, I felt the skin on my face very tight and not comfortable. On the other side, the skin tone evened out and the amount of red spots and irritation decreased. I tried it overnight and in the morning the skin was very oily and the next day as well. The moisturising properties of the cream are quite good, but would rather suit dry dehydrated skin. Wouldn't recommend for oily or combination. It is also overrated as the price is ridiculous for such effect. Wouldn't buy.
Perfect base, outline or highlighting colour. Perfectly matches my very light skin tone so probably would repurchase. The shadow has a very nice silky texture, good staying power, is easy to blend and mix. The only trick is that they can not be applied with a wet brush. I love that these eye shadows can be put in a pan palette, which is very convenient and space-saving.
I was looking for a perfect rich deep wine coloured gloss. I've finally found the perfect red in berry mode gloss. Bought it as soon as I tried it out. The most soothing, moisturising, smooth, soft lip gloss I've tried. I love that it has no smell or taste, comes in a tube with a great applicator brush, which makes it really easy to put on even without the lip pencil. I also enjoy the shimmer very much. The gloss is highly pigmented, which is a great advantage. I've got lots of compliments about how this colour suits me meaning it's a definite keeper. Though I do not particularly like the tube design.. somehow reminds me of the cheap fake Asian glosses. But great product anyhow.
