Fragrances -Unlisted Brand - Dana - French Vanilla

I agree with CecileCecile! I keep trying this scent, giving it many second chances, because it's so close to being the kind of soft, delicate, yet interesting fragrance that I seem to be forever searching for and collecting! Yet, there's something just a bit stale woven into French Vanilla's mix...not eneough to stop me from dabbing it on from time to time, and actually enjoying the mellow sweet vanilla. At 2-for-$5 I have plenty to use! The dry down scent is just a bit too strong after a while, and I remember why I moved on from French Vanilla... No need to repurchase.

Fragrances -Unlisted Brand - Dana Classic Fragrances - Love's Baby Soft

Even in my middle age, this scent remains the standard for all other fragrances in my life! I'm perennially searching for a grown-up version of this magical perfume. When I do break down and wear it, I always get wonderful compliments. I agree that the formula is a bit less perfect than the original, but it's still an intoxicatingly innocent, delicate blend of baby powder/floral/soft sweet fruity notes. Curve Crush suffices as Baby Soft's sorta edgy older sister, but Baby Soft is the ultimate feminine, girly, soft scent. And we can buy it now for less than we did as teenagers! It seems to be in every dicount store. Guess I'll always have some nearby, no matter how many high-end, grown-up fragrances I add to my collection :-)

Fragrances -Unlisted Brand - Parlux - Jessica Simpson Fancy

Yes, I already am tired of the last two perfumes I bought that were supposed to be my signature scent, for a while at least...I have abandoned VS Ooh La La and Sexy Little Things for Fancy. I was near the Boscov's fragrance counter when my co-addict favorite perfume associate told me she had the sweet, girly scent I've been searching for. When I heard it was a Jessica Simpson product, I trusted her and tried it anyway. Yes!!! A grown-up Love's Baby Soft sort of vanilla concoction that dries down to smell even better than the first blast of super-sweetness. Very powdery, flowery vanilla...delicate and definitely not cheap-smelling like some of my previous faves become after a while (in addition to the Victoria's Secret ones mentioned above, I was hopeful about P.H. Can Can and Body Fantasies Vanilla Fantasy--still nice but not as perfect as Fancy in terms of my ultra-girly preferences). I'm so glad that "sweet" is back in style! I've been waiting a long time! I bought the gift collection. Particularly appreciate the purse roller, and as everyone has commented, the bottle is classically beautiful. UPDATE: Still a big Fancy fan, but I notice that some days it smells different than others! Probably my own chemistry shifts, the weather, etc., but kinda weird. I really love it some days (it stays delicate and vanilla-y) and on others I notice a stronger spicy-floral note that isn't as nice...pleasant, but not what I smelled when I first smelled/bought Fancy. I layer with Fanilla Fantasy or Baby Soft when that uninvited note emerges.

Fragrances -Victoria's Secret - Ooh La La EDP

After I bought Sexy Little Things (hoping it would be my main fragrance for a while at least!), I couldn't stop wishing I'd bought Ooh La La instead, which I'd sampled while in the store. I went back and stimulated the economy yet again thanks to my obsessive search for my perfect perfume. Glad I did!!! This light, powdery concoction is what I've been searching for. Admittedly it doesn't last long or strong enough, but I will eventually get the lotion and see if layering helps. Ooh La La is unabashedly girly, sweet, and delicate, with the pure, gentle kind of vanilla undertones that I like...nothing coconut-y or chemical smelling to disappoint you later. Just light & pure, almost baby powdery, but not childish at all, very feminine. I will give my Sexy Little Things to the friend it smelled so good on who got me over to Victoria's Secret in the first place, and I will stock up on Ooh La La products with my VS coupons :-) (now I can stop blending my own scents using Sexy Little Things + Vanilla Fantasy--Ooh La La smells a bit like that combo, delicious!) Update...Don't overdo this stuff! I sprayed on too much enthusiastically one day and it was disgustingly strong & overly sweet after a while, ewww. I can't stand the thought of using it again! Had to change my ratings!
