Horrible greasy goo.
Lotions/ Creams -C.O. Bigelow - Quince Hand Lotion

This, like pretty much of all the C.O. Bigelow products I've tried, is just okay. Does nothing for serious dryness that one may experience in the winter.
Cleansers -Shu Uemura - Cleansing Beauty Oil Balancer

I can't use this as a daily cleanser but it is GREAT at removing make-up. Works better on mascara and eye liner than anything else I've tried, and there is definitely a feeling of glamour when using a product that was created for the movie stars of years gone by.
I use this product with the Abyssine serum and I LOVE them both. I use the serum during the day under sunscreen, and the cream at night. They are light weight, very soothing, and effective enough to keep my skin from getting dry during brutal midwestern winters without causing oiliness in the summers. They have given my skin a clear, smooth texture, and I think they are more effective and economical than some of those other famous brands claiming to use minerals "from the sea."
This is GREAT stuff. I started using it YEARS ago when my hair had been damaged from chemical processing. It helped me nurse my hair back to health. Lots of products have come and go from my beauty arsenal but I think I will use Kiehl's Creme with Silk Groom forever!
I got a tube of this stuff with one of the holiday combinations MAC offered a few years ago. I tried and tried with it, but the stuff is gross! Thick and goopy and uncomfortable to wear.
Expensive but it's the best mascara I've ever used. I've always satisfied my mascara needs using drug stores brands and was very happy with a Revlon product before it was discontinued. However, after an artist used DiorShow on me at the Dior counter, I haven't been able to use anything else.
Moisturizers -La Mer - Creme de la mer moisturizer

Creme de la Mer made my skin super oily and caused breakouts, even in the winter when my face is its driest. Maybe this stuff is worth it for those with VERY dry skin, but it was a total waste of money for me.
I first tried this product last year after the Allure article. At the time, my acne was pretty well controlled with other products, but after the reading the Allure review, I HAD to give it a try. The P50 lotion made my skin oily and caused bad breakouts for weeks. I stopped using it and left it untouched in my medicine cabinet. However, I was running low on a different product a few months ago and decided to revisit the P50. Afterall, I had already shelled out the money for it. This time, I was super careful. I used the damp cotton swab and rinsed, as directed. I also started out using once per day. I didn't notice any negative effects so I increased to 2X per day. I have been very pleased with the product this time around. My skin is smooth and my acne is controlled. I don't have the terrible breakouts and oiliness that I experienced previously, and I think it's because this time, I use the product as directed. Before, I didn't rinse, and thought if I a few drops worked, a few more should be even better. Not the case with this! I don't think there is any single product that works for every person, but the second time with the P50 lotion was the charm for me.
