Several months ago I finally caved in and bought this supposedly miraculous product. At first I was pleasantly surprised at how well a powder could cover the red around my nose, and the darkness under my eyes, but the stuff does NOT last even until lunch, and I must've been overestimating my skin's quality - putting a powder around the thin, lined area around my eyes made me look cakey and haggard. Looking back I can't believe I spent 3+ weeks walking around with that on my face! I can see this stuff working well for teens who don't want to plaster foundation all over smoother, oily skin, but that's about it.
Mascara -Make Up For Ever - Smoky Lash Extra Black Mascara

I was expecting miracles from this product after seeing raves on MUA and The Nest. Now that I have it and have used it ... it's good but not amazing. I was impressed by: - Curl factor - it really made my eyes pop - Lengthening (which was helped by the curling) - No clumps - Fell asleep with it on and the next day it hadn't budge and my lashes still looked as perfect as the night before I wasn't impressed by: - Color - it doesn't seem any blacker or "smokier" than any other mascara - Added volume - as in there wasn't any - It did make my lashes look a bit spindly, but I have shorter, sparse lashes to begin with, so a lot of mascaras do this to me
Eye Primer -Urban Decay - Eyeshadow Primer Potion - Original (UDPP)

I'd never used an eye primer before but bought this on the way to the cashier at Sephora. I have no clue how I ever skipped this step in my make-up application! The product goes on smoothly and you can't feel or see that it was applied. I prefer to use the lip gloss-style sponge wand to smear some on my lids, then blend with my fingers so I can get the best coverage and most even layer. Another review said it best: this stuff makes even your cheapest shadows stay on all day. It really brings out the shimmer in your frost shadows and the color of deeper or brighter shades, too.
I was drawn to this mascara because it was a more trendy brand but had a discount store price. I like it a lot, but wouldn't say it's a cure-all product for my skimpy lashes. Pros: - Price - under $10 if I remember correctly. - Consistency - it's not to watery or too dry right away. - Smudge-free, comes off easily, and doesn't bother my contacts. - No plastic/cardboard packaging around it. - Narrow brush head makes it easy to wiggle back and forth for bottom lashes and at the base of your upper lash line. Cons: - Doesn't add much length. - If you like to "build" layers like I do for extra volume, this doesn't really seem to help. Overall, it's a good daily-use mascara that covers your lashes thoroughly, but doesn't deliver much drama that you might want for nighttime or dressing up.
