Lipstick -Annabelle - Rouge Metallique-Chromazone
priya2006 10/13/2007 11:08:00 AM
No reviews for this yet??? Come on Annabelle lovers..buy it, try it and review it on MUA!!! Anyways the Rouge Metallique line consists of a range of a beautiful colors with a frosty/pearly look while retaining an amplified creme consistency so what you have is a stay put full-lipped look that will blind onlooker as you talk and smile. Chromazone actually looked beigey golden on my hand when I was trying out the testers but on my lips it's slightly pinkier. I will try it on with a layer of concealer/foundation to neutralize my natural lipcolor,...in any case, I love the look and if I could I'd buy every single color in this line but I think I drive my hubby crazy enough with my MU purchases.

Eye Shadow -Annabelle - Eye Dust - Solar
priya2006 10/13/2007 10:59:00 AM
Annabelle is a line that makes me happpaay to live in Canada! Solar is securely packed in a tiny pot with a hole that's just big enough to insert the annabelle eyeshadow brushes [all over or smaller ones]. I used the brushes to apply the powder either as a highlighter [C-shaped from high point of cheekbone to temple] , as a shadow or brow-bone highlighter.

Lip Gloss -Annabelle - Le Gloss in Rose Reflex
priya2006 10/13/2007 10:54:00 AM
Beautiful color on me [NC 35-40]. I think this would look delicious on anyone [dark-pale]. The color is rose-pink with shimmer that spreads beautifully on your lips to make them more beautiful

Loose Powders -Cover Girl - TruBlend Naturally Luminous Loose Powder
priya2006 7/2/2007 10:32:00 AM
I'm an nc 35-40 and was looking for a light-coloured powder to set my concealer and highlight the eye area, so I decided in the translucent light, bad choice. I could live with the shimmer because it's light if the colour were right. However this powder is just too dark and heavy even for me. I'd recommend it to light-complexioned ladies who are looking to add a tanned glow to their faces. I did also find it pricy for a covergirl product

Lipstick -Cover Girl - CG Continuous Color Toasted Almond
priya2006 5/11/2007 9:23:00 AM
I bought toasted almond based on its terracotta colour. I was actually looking for an orangey-brown colour and though on my hand I liked the colour I was disappointed when I tried it on my lips once I got home. It looks like a boring red on my lips. I cannot seem to find any terracotta shades anymore, think for once for a lipstick, will have to check out MAC.

CD/Books/Movies -Bobbi Brown - Book - Bobbi Brown Beauty: The Ultimate Beauty Resource

First of all I didn't but the book, got it on loan from the library. Anyways BB should add another B for "BORING". Sure I agree that she gives you good basic tips on beauty [that made go duh and so nothing new there] and natural looks [which I mean come on, how complicated is that]. She seems very centred on her own self and tastes and seeks to impose it on others and I feel she's trying to really overcompensate for what she considers to be her own beauty weakness [like the thing about how droopy eyes can be great bedroom looks]. I also don't agree with the yellow powder is my freaking God for all absolutely all skins of the world. Once again... not enough variety, very close minded. I mean I'm indian and have a really hard time seeing yellow powder doing anything for a redhead with true porcelain skin. Plus she preaches about how yellow powder is so great for us coloured people and so I guess that was it and covered it all for us since there was nothing else more about makeup for coloured skin other than a few pics of gorgeous ethnic models. On a side note it annoys me how makeup artists like Nars and BB start their own line with neutral packaging reminiscent of MAC and then BB sells out to some generic department brand[EL] and you wonder where's the uniqueness/creativity quotient.. they don't make any more like Kevyn Aucoin anymore who came up with some crazy creations, God bless his soul[sigh]

Mascara -Annabelle - magnifeye
priya2006 4/15/2007 11:18:00 PM
I tried this when just discovering Annabelle.Maybe I had a bad apple, I don't know if they've reformulated it since but while the actual brush and formulation gives the impression that you will be left with decently lush lashes, I could unfortunately barely get anything out of it, with the mascara being so dry and all. I think I gave it to someone or discarded it

Loose Powders -Clinique - Gentle Light powder [DISCONTINUED]
priya2006 4/15/2007 11:14:00 PM
Great product in a great packaging. Makes my face glow as it says but only for glowing and error-erasing purposes not oil blotting. I suggest using a powder made for that underneath. However riddiiiiicousssly expensive, 28 cdn dollars, I mean come onnnnn! Right i'm considering buying the new cg mineral loose trublend powder to see or Jane loose powder if I can get the same effect for a more reasonable price

Eyeliner -Annabelle - Smoothliner - Meteorite

A beautiful true navy blue, shows and lasts. Can be sharpened to a soft point if you want precise lines or easily smudged for a smokier effect

Blush -MAC - Sheertone Blush in Peaches
priya2006 4/15/2007 11:06:00 PM
I was looking for a pure peaches look and I thought this wouldn't show on me but it's quite pigmented so it'll show on the apples of my cheeks not so much near the cheekbones on ths side probably because of daker pigmentation/facial hair[nc-35/C 40]. All in all a true really real peach colour not pinky

Powder -MAC - Studio Fix Powder Plus Foundation
priya2006 4/13/2007 7:20:00 PM
I wish we had an undecided option for the "would you buy product again", I do see how this powder foundation tends to feel heavy. Yet I think it could be a good time saver if used appropriately and on the right skin. This product would go great with someone who relatively smooth skin tone as in no bumps, pimples because honestly, the coverage ain't that great and in terms of the breakouts experienced, I actually went through that but it was my fault. One morning I had used it with my normal two coats, in the afternoon I decided to touch up and touch up I did like crazy. I guess that was too much for my skin and I broke out in bumps all over my face that lasted for 2 days. For me it wasn't worth the price, it's an average performance for my skin anyways

Lip Gloss -MAC - Fancy That Lipglass
priya2006 4/13/2007 7:04:00 PM
I love this colour. It's Entice's cousin. Very cute colour[peachy pink with more of orangey peach but not as shiny as entice more matte] and spreads on your lips to give it a very even, defined layer and brightens your face. Unfortunately an LE, shoulda stocked up so I try using it very sparingly.

Lip Gloss -MAC - Entice lipglass
priya2006 4/13/2007 6:51:00 PM
Oh my god, how I love this lipgloss! It's totally HG for me! A peachy peachy orangey juicy colour that makes your lips look full and well defined and feels juiciously[I tend to invent silly words, sorry] moisturised. One or two coats enough though, it is quite a bit of a bright colour. Glad to see that it's a "staple" Mac colour not LE and hope it nevvvvver gets discontinued. It's just one of those colours that's a Mac colour and you won't find it easily in a Drug store.

Lip Gloss -MAC - Enchantress Lipglass
priya2006 4/13/2007 6:39:00 PM
I guess I'm a minority here. I agree that it's a good nudie colour like Prrr but like Prrr I didn't like how it turned out on me [NC-35 studio tech/C40 studio fix/Nc 42 concealer studio finish]. Maybe if I had thicker lips I would've enjoyed the look more. It just looked so bleehhh on me and I think I would've had the same effect with a bonne bell lipgloss

Sunscreen -MAC - Lightful Protective Moisturizer SPF 30
priya2006 3/7/2007 7:50:00 AM
Wow! the last thing I expected from MAC was some lightening your skin crap, so brazen about it too. That's something our asian, south asian, and african sisters have fallen for, and it is following us in our countries of residence. What happened to MAC's all races, all sexes motto? Ever since it's selling out to Estee Lauder, MAC is going downhill in prices and philosophy
