Polishes -Chanel - Le Vernis Nail Color
rated 5 of 5

I love Chanel Le Vernis Nail Colour! It is the best nail polish formula you can buy. It comes in the most gorgeous colors, and has superior resistance to chipping compared to "professional" brands like OPI and Essie. The shelf life of these polishes is extremely long as well. They don't get thick and goopy after years of sitting like other brands do. They are expensive, but worth every penny.

Hair Styling Tools -Unlisted Brand - Tourmaline Featherweight/Travel Hair Dryer (Original and Bespoke versions)
rated 3 of 5
pink_jasmine 7/7/2008 10:50:00 AM

I bought the Featherweight when it first hit Sephora and used it for a few months. It dried my hair very fast however I did not like how extremely hot it got and that you could not adjust the temperature. Then the Evolution came out and I immediately went back to Sephora and exchanged my Featherweight for an Evolution. I cannot begin to describe how much I love the Evolution. It dries my hair so much faster, with less frizz, static, and damage than any other dryer. I even use it on my dogs after their baths because it dries them so fast, luckily I can with the Evolution, they would never be able to tolerate the heat of the Featherweight.
The Featherweight was not bad but my hair is far to fragile and damaged to be dried with high heat and obviously the cool button won't allow you to dry your hair in any decent amount of time. If you're going to spend the money on a T3, go all the way and get the Evolution. The extra heat settings and stronger airflow are completely worth it.

This is the best hair dryer ever! I bought the Featherweight when it first hit Sephora and used it for a few months. However I did not like how extremely hot it got and that you could not adjust the temperature. This is the very best, most AMAZING, gentle, moisturizing shampoo!!! My hair is long, dry, and very damaged from daily blow drying, flat ironing, high-lift color and heavy bleach highlighting. This shampoo cleans and balances my hair leaving it soft, shiny and bouncy, not stripped. It has a divine citrus fragrance to it. My husband comments on how great my hair smells every time I use it. I have repurchased this shampoo many times and will continue to do so. I love to use it with the Meadowfoam Cream Treatment Conditioner.

This conditioner is the richest, thickest thing you could ever put in your hair! It is absolutely the best conditioner that I have ever tried. My hair is long, dry and very damaged from daily blow drying and flat ironing, high-lift color and heavy bleach highlighting. This conditioner is so moisturizing and leaves my hair unbelievably soft, shiny and healthy. It has an exquisite citrus scent that lingers in your hair. My husband always comments on how amazing my hair smells when I use this. I've repurchased it many times and will continue to repurchase. It is expensive, but definitely worth it. Everyone with dry, damaged hair needs this!

Shampoo -Frederic Fekkai - Frederic Fekkai Platinum Brightening Shampoo [DISCONTINUED]
rated 5 of 5
pink_jasmine 7/5/2008 5:35:00 PM

This is the most effective violet toning shampoo ever made! It definitely has the most concentrated amount of pigment out of the dozens I've tried. I use it 1-2 times per week and leave it in for 5 minutes. It completely counteracts the brassy tones in my light blonde hair. It smells great too. It's also not harsh and drying like many of the other violet shampoos are, which is great if your hair is dry and damaged from color and highlights like mine.

Styling Products -Aveda - Volumizing Tonic
rated 1 of 5

This product adds a some volume to my hair but the volume only lasts for a few hours and then my hair falls flat again. It also makes my hair feel sticky and I don't like the scent at all- it's horrible! I will definitely not repurchase.

Treatments -Lippmann Collection - The Stripper
rated 5 of 5
pink_jasmine 3/16/2008 2:01:00 PM

This is my staple nail polish remover. It does contain a small amount of acetone, but it doesn't damage or dry out my nails like most acetone nail polish removers, and it works much better than any non-acetone remover that I've tried. Most nail polish removers have an obnoxious scent, but this one has a pleasant, mild, lavender scent. I also love how I don't have to worry about the bottle leaking or spilling because of the clever twist-lock pump. It's expensive but worth every penny!

Lip Treatments -Caudalie - Grapeseed Lip Conditioner
rated 4 of 5
pink_jasmine 3/15/2008 5:17:00 PM

Overall, this is a great basic lip balm. It moisturizes my lips and prevents chapping, cracking and peeling when used regularly. It's an amazing base for lipstick as well. It has a light, pleasant, vanilla scent to it and the stick has never melted or broken, even in the extreme summer heat. My only complaints are that it wears off quickly and I have to reapply often; and it really only works for preventing chapped lips rather than healing them, and it's doesn't help much in extreme weather. If you forget to reapply often or are exposed to extremely cold, dry weather, you will need to use something stronger to heal your lips. Otherwise, it's a great basic, preventative lip balm and an excellent base for lipsticks.

Misc Beauty Tools -Anastasia Of Beverly Hills - Anastasia Tweezers
rated 5 of 5
pink_jasmine 3/15/2008 5:12:00 PM

Anastasia tweezers are not only pink and absolutely adorable, but they are extremely sharp and precise! They get every one of my stray brow hairs, even the tiny ones that have barely sprouted and can only be seen in a magnification mirror. These tweezers are so much better than any of the pairs of tweezers that I've previously owned, including Tweezerman.

Hair Styling Tools -T3 - Tourmaline Original Duality Irons (yellow plates)
rated 5 of 5
pink_jasmine 3/15/2008 5:02:00 PM

I bought my T3 flat iron in 2004 and have been using it almost daily since then. It straightens my hair perfectly and is so much less damaging than any other iron I've tried, such as GHD, CHI and FHI, all of which left my hair with tons of breakage and split ends. The T3 flat iron also leaves my hair shiny and glossy, while the other irons leave my hair looking dry and dull. It heats up fast and has adjustable temperature. I have no problems with snagging or tugging. The plates are super smooth, and the iron glides through my hair like silk. After my experiences of comparing my T3 to other flat irons, I will never use any flat iron other than a T3 flat iron again. I would recommend it to anyone and everyone looking for the perfect flat iron!
I also love T3 blow dryers and curling irons. I've found through experience, that T3 products are the least damaging heat-styling appliances on the market. If you are going to heat style, and want to maintain healthy hair, I wouldn't let anything but T3 appliances touch your hair!

Lip Treatments -Fusion Beauty - LipFusion Lip Plumping Gloss
rated 1 of 5
pink_jasmine 3/15/2008 4:45:00 PM

When I first started using this, I did notice slightly plumper lips. I later discovered that the plumping must have just been due to irritation because my lips became so dry that they started peeling, cracking and bleeding! They returned to normal immediately after I stopped using this. I definitely would not repurchase this or recommend it to anyone.

Styling Products -Ted Gibson - Build It Blow Drying Agent
rated 5 of 5
pink_jasmine 3/12/2008 6:57:00 PM

I have long, thin hair that lacks volume, especially at the root/crown area. I've tried a lot of products and techniques to add volume and lift at the roots of my hair. Blow drying my hair upside-down helps a great deal, but as far as products go- this the best root volumizer I've ever tried! It really does add volume and lift to my hair and the volume lasts! It's heat-activated so I apply it to wet hair concentrating at the root/crown area prior to blow drying. It also has lush fruity scent that I'm completely addicted to. I have repurchased this product several times and will continue to repurchase.

Treatments -Nexxus - Emergencee Strengthening Polymeric Reconstructor
rated 5 of 5
pink_jasmine 3/11/2008 2:23:00 AM

My hair is very long and extremely damaged from daily blow drying and flat ironing, high-lift blonde color, and heavy bleach highlighting. Emergencee has transformed my hair from dull, dry and straw-like to healthy, shiny and lusterous and most importantly has stopped breakage. I use it every 2 weeks. If your hair is less damaged, you could probably use it less often. I wish I had discovered this years ago. If you color, get heavy bleach highlights, blow dry and flat iron daily (or all of the above like I do) and your hair is showing the damage, you need this!
