Eye Shadow -Wet 'n' Wild - Color Icon Trio - Knock on Wood

I LOVE THIS<3 I don't think you guys understand. I have SO many brown eyeshadows from urbandecay, estee lauder etc and the most reached for brown I use is the middle brown in this trio. all three colors are SO pigmented and buttery but that brown right in the middle is AMAZING. gahh..and it's only $3. I love using this on my outter V. it gives me such a sultry look without looking over the top for everyday wear. I think this trio is the best out of the bunch. I know walking on eggshells gets a lot of love especially from youtube and whatnot but knock on wood is way better in my opinion. you can't go wrong with this trio, you're really missing out if you haven't gotten your hands on this guy :D

Blush -MAC - Melba

this blush didn't "wow" me right away like MAC's blushbaby but it definitely is a keeper for those days when I want 0 shimmer! my all time favorite blush is MAC's springsheen and melba is the perfect matte version for me. it shows up as a peachy coral and blends out with ease. pigmentation is stellar. love love love! I have super acne prone skin and my skin doesn't flair up at all from this product :D

Blush -Too Faced - Sweethearts Perfect Flush Blush

Aw jeez I'm the odd ball here too. Welp! I bought the eyeshadow palette and blush from this collection. The eyeshadow palette didn't fair well for me and the blush was an even bigger disappointment. Packaging was what pulled me into buying this product in all honesty. I have horrible will power I suppose. It reminds me of some Juicy Couture jewelry boxes [kinda]. The product is self has 3 strips of purple-pink,a bright coral and a more toned down peachy color. I was so excited to use it because of the good reviews here and even from temptalia. I'm a huge fan of pinks/coral blushes so this was pretty hard to resists. What a sad day it was when I swirled my brush into the heart shaped product and saw the poor color pay off on my cheeks. I'm not even tan or dark toned so I've never had a problem with blush colors not showing up. I quickly did some swatches on the product and it didn't feel soft or buttery....dry and strangely stiff :l For the price I expected much more D: I heard a lot of positive reviews about Too Faced but this didn't match up to my expectations. I might as well invest in another MAC blush or even a NARS blush for this price.

Eye Shadow -Too Faced - Boudoir Eyes

Oh man did I get a dud? I had such high hopes for this eyeshadow palette :l Okay so where do I start - packaging is very cute! It has a magnetic clasp and it's about the size of my palm. I wish they had included a mirror but they put in one of those mini tutorial books which is nice for those who need some direction. Now onto the quality of the eyeshadows - there are 9 and they're all lovely shades! you have your champagne colors, plum colors, taupe shades and even a shimmery black. But when I applied them on they felt dry...not smooth or buttery. I thought maybe I used a bad brush so I switched to my ring finger for application. The moment I swiped my finger across the product I KNEW the quality was below my expectations. Dry and even almost chalky for some of the shades. the top right shade [voulez-vous] appears to be a lovely plum but when I applied it....it came off as a dark brown and really lost it's punch when blended out. This was my first ever Too Faced eyeshadow purchase and I'm so bummed I didn't love it :l if it works out great for you then I'm glad but for me it was a flop. For the price I'm better off investing in thebalm's nude palette or urbandecay's naked2.

because of the rave reviews on here I caved in and got this guy. I LOVE IT :D! It's so natural looking...paired this with MAC's lipstick in modesty was an amazing combination. I know for some of you guys prefer a more vibrant color but I love my natural colors. Smooth and pigmented, can't get any better than that. I have acne-prone skin and this doesn't break me out! This one's a keeper in my book for sure :D

Lipstick -MAC - Cremesheen- Modesty
rated 5 of 5
mikxoh 1/27/2013 9:09:00 PM

hands down my favorite cremesheen from MAC. The cremesheen forumla gives this awesome MLBB color that moisturizing power with a bit of sheen. I had originally went to the MAC counter and bought Angel but the SA grabbed the wrong lipstick and I ended up with Modesty in my shopping bag. At first I was annoyed but when I saw the color in the tube it was actually a color I could wear everyday and get plenty of use out of. I tried it on and hhhoooooomygosh LOVE IT. It makes me look put together and presentable without looking over the top or try-hard. My lips are pretty pigmented and this came up as a mauve-y pink on me. It's a safe color for sure and I'm content with this happy accidental discovery.

Lips -Revlon - Colorburst Lip Butter in Sweet Tart
rated 3 of 5
mikxoh 12/19/2012 9:03:00 PM

It's damn bright that's for sure. It's one of those colors which you actually have to coordinate your makeup/outfit around because it really does steal the spotlight in terms of what area of your face you want attention to. I'm debating on returning this guy because strawberry shortcake works better for my skintone. It's not as loud as this one but if you're a sucker for bright lips then get sweet tart. The formula is nice - moisturizing and fairly long lasting on my lips. ------- 12/22/12 Argg okay, I just can't pull off the color so it's my bad for picking this shade in the first place. gonna return him but if you suit bright cool toned pinks then this is a keeper.

Lipstick -Revlon - Colorburst Lip Butter - 080 Strawberry Shortcake

Wow, this is a cool toned pink which actually works against my warm skin tone. Super surprised, seriously. Would I repurchase if I were to run out? Nah. I don't see myself reaching for this color as much as pink truffle but it's nice to have variety. Again, it's a cool tone pink which doesn't make me look awkward so I'll keep this guy around. Moisturizing power is decent and color pay off is really nice, nothing much else to complain about :> ----------- 12/22/12 - minus 1 lippie I just put this on and it's actually really sensitive to lighting. Under specific lights it can look nice but more often than not it comes off as a very unflattering color for my skintone. if you can pull off bright cool toned pinks then this color would be a good pick.

Lipstick -L'Oreal - Colour Riche in Fairest Nude

I HAVE FOUND MY PERFECT PINK NUDE LIPSTICK :D!! It smells like a very generic lipstick but the color is on point. I've been searching high and low for that perfect nude pink lips. This bad boy is the one for me. For about $6 at target, this lipstick is perfect. I have a warm skintone and most nude shades out there are more fitted towards cooler toned people so it's been quite a search. It's moisturizing and opaque. Wahhh, did I mention it was $6? Here I was ready to throw my dollar bills at MAC & YSL. I won't dock it off points for smell, it's not repulsive but it's what I expected from a drugstore lipstick.

Lipstick -Rimmel - Lasting Finish - Airy Fairy
rated 3 of 5

I like it, it's a MLBB kinda guy. Super cheap, got it for around $4. It didn't dry out my lips. Smells like a cherry popsicle which I love :D This lipstick is such a safe pick. It's not too special where you have to run out and get it right this minute. However, It's worth checking out the next time you're wanting to expand your lipstick collection.

Lipstick -Rimmel - Moisture Renew - Nude Delight
rated 4 of 5
mikxoh 12/2/2012 1:20:00 AM

I've been on the hunt for my perfect nude lipstick. This is nude in the sense that it's a skintone color and it's not light enough against my skintone to wash me out. If anything, it comes off slightly peachy with a wee kick of orange [not in a bad way :D!] I was reading older reviews and some people were complaining how "orange" it was coming off on their lips but then again everyone's lips are pigmented differently. It is creamy and moisturizing! It better be considering it has the word "moisture" in the item brand. For about $5, this lipstick is a keeper in my book.

Lip Gloss -Bonne Bell - Liquid Lip Smackers (all)
rated 5 of 5
mikxoh 11/27/2012 11:09:00 PM

So cheap but that's not the point. The point is that this product is AMAZING. Why should I fork over my money to MAC and those other high ends for a simple clear lip gloss? This isn't insanely tacky and gives me super plump looking lips with no problem. I love this over any lipstick, especially my nude lip colors. It makes my high end lipsticks look like a million bucks :D Lasts a fairly long time. I guess the only complaint I figured some people would come up with is the scent. I figured if you're buying something from lip smackers you would be aware that it WILL have a scent.

Lip Treatments -Blistex - DCT for lips - Daily Conditioning Treatment SPF 20
rated 5 of 5
mikxoh 11/16/2012 3:38:00 AM

The pot doesn't bug me at all so I'm not going to knock off lippies for that. I actually think I'm preferring this over my trusted 'ol carmex jar...which is saying a lot since I LOVE carmex. It actually smells better than carmex and I grabbed this for so so so cheap at my local drugstore [it was on sale on top of having a coupon so I actually picked it up for ~21 cents LOLS] Anyway, moisturizing power kicks in quickly. It isn't greasy and it's everything I need and want in a lipbalm. The spf is a plus since my carmex jar doesn't have anything the last time I checked. So if you find this on sale and are curious, go for it! You won't be disappointed :D

Loose Powders -E.L.F. - Studio High Definition Powder

Oh no x: I had such high hopes D:! When applied, it left my skin feeling so velvety and lovely...and then came the painful breakouts. My skin did not like this guy one bit and completely raged about it for a good week. Damn my acne prone skin. I can see this product being amazing for everyone else though.

Lipstick -Revlon - Colorburst Lip Butter
rated 4 of 5
mikxoh 11/10/2012 7:23:00 AM

I own 4 lip butters - sugar plum, berry smoothie, peach parfait, and pink truffle. Do these live up to the hype? Yeah, they do (better than most products. I'm glaring at you maybelline babylips). SO MANY COLORS! WHICH ONE TO BUY? D:! Here's my advice - pick colors that you know will suit your skin tone. Google for swatches to help narrow down your choices. I know on my skin tone, I cannot pull off certain shades of pink because they're cool toned and clash horribly. I gravitated towards the warmer shades knowing that they would suit me much more. Honestly, the reason why I marked it off 1 lippie is because there's so freaking little product in one tube. These guys run for $7-8 a pop so the price really stacks up when you buy more than just 1 or 2. Because it's a balm, you find yourself reapplying it for a kick of moisture so you'll end up using this balm+lipstick up a lot faster than your average lipstick. I got mine when it was buy 1 get 1 half off so it was a better deal. Not a totally over hyped product. It's worth picking up to satisfy that curiosity.
