Cleansers -Ren - Rose Centifolia Facial Wash-Normal skin

I finished this product and so pleased w/this gentle cleanser. It's gentle and didn't overly stripped my combo skin. I used to use Philosophy Purity w/my clarisonic but this does a better job at taking off my makeup. Definitely repurchasing!

Highlighters -MAC - Superb Extra Dimension Skinfinish
rated 5 of 5

Since I missed out on the Laura Mercier Rose Rendezvous, I was so happy my MAC Store had plenty of the Extra Dimension Skinfinish in Superb. I love the texture and pigmentation of this, I've been neglecting all my other highlighters. I love using the Real Techniques pointy contour brush, this is amazing!

Liquid -Lancome - Teint Idole Ultra 24h
rated 5 of 5
makeupaddict76 4/26/2012 10:09:00 AM

I'm a foundation junkie. Looking for a summer foundation, was deciding between Teint Idole Ultra and Hourglass Immaculate Liquid Powder. Currently I'm combo skin but definitely tends to get more oily in the summer. I'm not sure why I chose Teint Idole, I think coverage and color matched better and the 24hr claim got me. Overall, I've been loving this foundation. Definitely works great for combo to oily skin. I either use regular or mattifying primer but lately I've been mixing one pump of L'Oreal Magic Lumi primer with two pumps of the Teint Ultra. This gives a full coverage, slightly luminous but not flat, matte finish. Feels slightly heavier than my other full coverage foundations but definitely don't need to use any concealer when I'm using this foundation.

Polishes -Sally Hansen - Xtreme Wear - Mint Sorbet
rated 4 of 5

Formula and the brush is really difficult to work with but I do love the opaqueness and the price of the Xtreme Wear polishes. This mint color screams spring! I've been definitely purchasing more and experimenting with different colors. Good buy!

Blush -Revlon - Photoready Cream Blush
rated 3 of 5

I love cream blushes and Pinched 100 reminded me of the BB in cabo coral. But once swatched, I was disappointed in the pigmentation, very sheer but buildable. I do like the texture, very smooth and it gives a light peachy glow. Lately I pack this one my cheeks 3-4 times and use a light powder blush on top such as Milani Amber Nectar Illuminating Face Powder. It's been a great combo! For the price, I do think there are better drugstore cream blushes out there such as NYX and NYC.

Blush -Revlon - Powder Blush - Tawny Peach
rated 2 of 5
makeupaddict76 4/26/2012 9:14:00 AM

Terrible pigmentation! I have to pack it on about 6 times w/a stiff brush to get some color on my cheeks. But after working it in, it's a decent warm peachy shade. I just get frustrated trying to build the color on my cheeks. Maybe it'll work for lighter skin tone but not for my NC30. I don't mind sheer blushes but this is just too much work!

Eye Shadow -NARS - Lhasa

I haven't been truly impressed with the NARS eyeshadows but this lavender gray color is so pretty. I was initially turned off by the sheer swatch but it's been working great as daytime look, subtle but not boring. It's really easy to work with. For more smokey dramatic look, I use a dark base, I've been using either Maybelline color tatto in tough as taupe or Chanel D'ombre in Illusoire.

Toners -Boscia - balancing facial tonic
rated 5 of 5
makeupaddict76 2/27/2012 3:19:00 PM

Instead of repurchasing my fav Body Shop Vitamin E mist, I decided to give this one a try and I'm glad I did. Instead of a fine mist like the Vitamin E mist, I like how you get more product out with each spritz. It does not irritate my eyes and best of all, really nicely moisturize my face especially if I forget to apply moisturizer. I tried several different toners from Shisheido, Clinique, Suki but I'm impressed with this Boscia Balancing Tonic.

Skincare - Face -Ole Henriksen - Sheer Transformation Creme
rated 4 of 5
makeupaddict76 2/27/2012 3:01:00 PM

I got the full 1.7oz sample size at Sephora(some VIB event), I've been wearing it for 2 months and I really like this moisturizer. The cream looks heavy in the jar but applies very light, fast absorbing and feels so refreshing. It works great under makeup and did not make me oily. I think it's a good daytime moisturizer but not sure if I'll purchase for $45.

Foundations -Tarte - Amazonian Clay 12-hour Full-Coverage Foundation SPF 15
rated 4 of 5
makeupaddict76 2/27/2012 2:49:00 PM

I went to sephora to get the winter shade for one of my favs Laura Mercier Silk Creme foundation but decided to try the Tarte Amazonian Clay Full Coverage in medium which just got stocked up at my local sephora. I do like the texture, airy, moussey, light texture, goes on fairly smooth and easy to apply w/my fingers. Coverage isn't completely full, still need few touch ups w/concealer but finishes matte like the LM Silk Creme. Not as long lasting as LM, it only last few hrs, maybe up to 6 hrs if you use a primer. I do need to carefully moisturize and use a primer since it can accentuate dry patches on my combo skin but it didn't get cakey but rather feels light and natural on my skin. Overall a good foundation, especially since it cost $38 for 1.7oz vs $42 for 1.18oz for LM.

Moisturizers -Boots - No7 Rebalancing Day Fluid
rated 4 of 5
makeupaddict76 2/10/2012 9:32:00 AM

I've been looking for a winter day moisturizer for combo skin w/SPF and the lady at the Boots counter at Target recommended the Boots Day Fluid for $15. First few days I noticed that it didn't totally control my oil throughout the day but it didn't make it any oilier, I always have to blot my face no matter what product I'm using. More and more I used this Day Fluid, I like how it balances the moister on my face. It smells fresh and really like how it preps my skin before my foundation. I'm pretty new to the Boots brand and I've been really impressed w/their products, really want to try more of them..

Lip Liners -Boots - No7 Perfect Lips Liner
rated 5 of 5
makeupaddict76 2/10/2012 9:16:00 AM

Finally found my HG lip liner! I've been using MAC lip liners forever and I wanted to switch to something a little more moisturizing to dry winter months. I've been on a hunt to find the perfect nude lip liner, I purchased MUFE, Urban Decay, NARS, Sephora brand lip liners. Just when I was about to spend another $20 on the Too Faced Perfect lip liner, I read the reviews on the this liner and I immediately went to Target to purchase Boots No7 20 Nude which has been my favorite by far. It's not too pink or brown but the perfect nude color. It's so soft and smooth, glides on my lips perfectly. I do wish it has longer lasting power but I usually don't expect that from any brands. I'm going back and getting backups since last time I saw they didn't have too many in stock.

Liquid -Boots - Lifting & Firming Foundation SPF 15 [DISCONTINUED]
rated 5 of 5
makeupaddict76 2/2/2012 1:20:00 PM

Almost made HG drugstore foundation status except it didn't 100% control my oily t-zone but definitely impressed with this foundation. Unlike some of the drugstore foundation fav like Revlon Colorstay, texture is not as liquidy which can be very messy since Colorstay doesn't come w/a pump and this one does. Due to the creamy texture, I just use my fingers to apply, so smooth, blends like a dream and finishes matte. Coverage can be medium to full, doesn't feel dry, feels moisturizing w/out greasy feeling, last up to 8 hrs. I purchased this in 20 Blonde and I'm around NC30, looked gray at initial application but blends in beautifully with my skintone and gives natural finish. I'm so glad I finally decided to try this out though I don't think it'll work for my combo skin in the summer time.

Bronzers -Hard Candy - So Baked Bronzer, Tiki
rated 5 of 5
makeupaddict76 2/2/2012 1:04:00 PM

Since I like Hard Candy in Honeymoon so much I decided to purchase this which can be used as a highlighter. This gives such a beautiful luminous glow, I've been reaching for this more than my Dior Amber Diamond. Dior has more golden bronze undertone but Tiki basically does the same thing, great job at highlighting.

Makeup Brushes -Unlisted Brand - Paris Presents - High Definition Angled Blush Brush
rated 5 of 5
makeupaddict76 2/2/2012 12:36:00 PM

I decided to purchase the Walmart HD angled blush brush since I was pleased with other HD eye brushes I have purchased before. This is an amazing brush, so soft, dense and only cost $6. I can almost compare this to the Sephora Platinum #55 airbrush which is my go to foundation brush, they are very different in shape but does the same thing. I tested this brush for applying my most finicky Chanel Perfection Lumiere foundation and it does the job. The ferrule and the handle feels cheap, I don't think it's made of wood so I'm not exactly sure how it will hold up after washes but so far it's been great! I'm definitely getting backups.
