I like this color, I'm an NC25-30 and this is a nice nude and gives a nice subtle color without washing me out or erasing my lips altogether and its not sticky at all .. my only issue/s with NYX glosses in general is the smell isn't all that great, i can't describe the smell... its just funky... and also the glosses are quite thin, meaning they seem a bit 'watery' they don't have the staying power of a MAC gloss but for the price i guess they are good glosses, i have a few so they can't be that bad if i keep buying them! haha
i like this blush... i don't love it. I am an NC25-30 and i do like the color on me, i find it to be a bit to much shimmer for day time but if i was going out at night this would be the one i would use, i prefer the deeper shades (MAC's grand duo is my FAVE ever and if i wanted a pink the 'Buddy up' is another fave) but this Dainty blush is a very pretty blush, its just not my HG or 'go to' blush .. its maybe more like the blush i use when im bored of using my usual one. That said, i do like it and i don't regret buying it, probably wouldn't repurchase because i have others that i like better :)
I really like this, it looks very cute in the pan and its just a really pretty pink shade that lights up my NC30 skin like no other, alot of color pay off and depending how heavy handed you are it can look like a nice subtle sweep of color or it can be as dramatic as you want it to be :) .... love it. what more can i say!?
By Candlelight is my perfect highlighter.... well the search is over! god only knows how long i have been on the hunt for a highlighter that isn't cheap looking and doesn't have chunky bits of glitter or one that's not a silver-ish shade.. on my NC25-30 skin this is a perfect highlighter, it blends nicely with my skin and doesn't give an un-natural "glitter face" look.. gives a very subtle gold hint of shimmer, i love this :D
Blush -MAC - Mineralize Blush Duo - Grand Duo (Grand Duos Coll.)
loiseva1988 5/4/2011 7:52:00 PM
I love this Mac Mineralized blush in 'Grand duo' ... Im an NC30 and this blush is so beautiful on warmer skinned girls and would look nice on fair skin also, although you do have to use a light hand when using it because it is VERY pigmented and gives alot of color pay off, but it will last me for a long time because of that. I guess the color on one side is a plum-ish tone and then the other half has the same plum as an undertone tone but with alot of gold through it and it is stunning! i love this one and would repurchase if i ever run out :) MAC blushes are more on the pricey side, but hey, you get what you pay for with this one!
This is one of the greatest purchases i have ever made! The pointed tip is perfect for getting around my eyes and it gives a flawless finish using any type of foundation (apart from powder, i don't think that would work so well) but for liquid and cream foundations PERFECT! i love this so much and i will continue to buy them ...forever if i can haha. Use it damp not dry and make sure you clean it, i just use a simple facial cleanser to clean it and that works well. This is no ordinary sponge .. its the PERFECT sponge... GET ONE, YOU WILL LOVE IT!
This mascara is a bit of a let down, Benefit has a large amount of over 'hyped up' gimmicky products (i do love benetint and moonbeam, 10 bronzer/highlighter and sugar bomb blush etc) ..but i wanted to love this too and i really tried to love it, but nope... its crap, Its not very pigmented, its to wet, the brush is just to big and clumsy and my biggest pet peeve about this Bad gal lash is the scent.. it has a funny smell to it, some may not mind it but i dont think its necessary for my eyelashes to have a scent... do you?? ... anyway, the packaging is cute but at the same time its just standard mascara packaging really, i have stopped using this and im now using Maybelline 'lash stiletto' and 'the falsies' .. they work 10000 times better and give much better results for a fraction of the price. Would not purchase this again.
I love this pigment, at first it looks like a simple white gold (the colour you would expect it to be) but when applied it has a green fleck through it, a very unusual, yet pretty pigment. my only issue with this one is that it's one of the more 'chunky' pigments from MAC, so it tends to have quite a bit of fall out. but all in all, i like this pigment, its great to use in the inner corner of my eye when doing a smoky eye, and also in the innder corner when do a green look from time to time, using kelly green pigment, emerald green and dark soul for the crease... looks great! :)
I have seen many bad reviews for The Falsies... BUT i really like it. i have short sparse lashes and even with an eyelash curler they never seem to look very good, for the last 6 months i have worn actual false eyelashes EVERYDAY (i must say im an expert at applying them now!!) but i grew tired of buying them twice a week and putting them on takes to much time, plus all that glue cant be good for my real lashes.. SO i bought this mascara (and not expecting a 'false lash effect' because, c'mon, what product lives up to its claims 100%...none) .. anyway, i tried it and i love it!! although it can tend to get a little clumpy if you apply to many coats, i do one coat of Lash Stiletto (for added length) and then one or two coats of the Falsies .. and lets just say i no longer use fake lashes!! Also, if you do have brittle, short, stubborn lashes i 100% recommend trying "Ardell brow and lash growth accelerator" use this at the lash roots for 4 weeks every night....it works!! anyway, i love the Falsies, good simple packaging, gives volume and length, great spoon brush (if you are using it right)....I LOVE IT
Primer/ Corrector -BeneFit Cosmetics - The Porefessional
loiseva1988 2/2/2011 7:21:00 PM
I like this, i don't have overly large pores but i do find that my pores are alot more noticeable when i use a liquid foundation, seems to sink into my pores and make them more obvious, so i bought 'The Porefessional' to use under liquid foundation and it works well and covers/conceals my pores (as it should). The packaging is cute and easy to use, the consistency is nice its not greasy or sticky, doesn't make me break out and doesn't feel like its 'clogging' my pores. It even works nicely to correct the colour on my cheeks as i have a slight amount or redness and its nice to wear even just to cover my redness if i dont want to wear foundation. I think the price is fair and i love BeneFit products, would buy again but i cant say it is a MUST have, but is a great product :)
ok so i see many people are very unhappy with this MAC gloss, due to lack of colour pay off ... this dosent bother me, i had read 100000s of reviews before i purchased this and i have to say.. i love it! That said, i wasnt wanting a 'bright/vibrant' coloured gloss, i was wanting one as an overcoat for lipstick or to use as a nude glossy lip... and it does everything i wanted it to do. LOVE the packaging, it looks so cute in the tube. on lips i guess its very sheer with a subtle hint of pink and flecks of gold, i dont find it sticky or drying, i dont really have any complaints about this at all .. im very happy with it :) the only reason i dont give it 5/5 lippys is because would only rate 5/5 for THE BEST iv'e ever used, i cant say this is the best EVER but it deserves a 4/5 imo. :)
I LOVE THIS! stays on until i want it off, doesnt smudge or run, very well pigmented and i think 99% of the other reviews say everything that i agree with :) a bit pricey, but hey... you get what you pay for. it turns out that i had originally bought a fake!! bought it online and no wonder it was so crap! i didnt see what all the fuss was about with this gel liner when mine smudged and went everywhere, it was horrible... Dont ya just hate people that sell fake 'top quality' products! :( ... well i took a risk and bought one that is AUTHENTIC (i wasnt sure what to expect) but with fingers crossed i used it and its amazing! i would like to list the differences between the fake and the authentic so that others wont get scammed like i did ***FAKE: square-ish jar, 'bobbi brown' label on lid is very slightly smudged, label on bottom is clear with black writing, liner gel is VERY jelly like not creamy, product DOESN'T dry at all.
Eyeliner -Maybelline - Eyestudio Lasting Drama Gel Eyeliner
loiseva1988 1/9/2011 3:50:00 AM
I have seen many mixed reviews on this product, some saying they found it to sheer when first applying, smudging/running, quick to wear off.... i cant say i have any of these problems with this product, although i have to agree that it does go on a bit sheer with the first application, but i kind of liked that because it was buildable and if you weren't wanting a super heavy black line it was kind of nice to have it a little lighter and be able to build it thicker if i wanted to. I had no problems with it smudging and i have been wearing it all day 9am-10pm so far and it is still in place :) . I was not looking forward to using the brush, BUT i was very surprised that it was very good, really like the brush. the little pot is cute and has a lot of product and will last for quite a while. I must say i do have a Bobbi Brown gel liner that is my no1 but i really like this Maybelline gel liner. I would buy again :)
ok, well my view on the indian pink lipstick by NYX isn't all that great, i found the texture to be almost slimy and greasy. The colour is like a soft coral (orangey pink) which for me dosent look good, made me look a little bit trailer trash haha... that said, on someone with fairer skin than me i think it could be a great colour, i am an olive/ yellow under toned skin and i guess the 'nude' lip look just isnt going to work for me as i tried 'honey' and that was almost an exact match to my skin colour which made me look like i had no lips!. For the price $9 (nz) i guess its ok and a darker colour would work better for me then i could say i may buy this again. its average. also dosent last all that long either. ill give it a 3 .. no less.. no more.
