Excellent longevity, great colour range, is smooth and blendable and is a product I would highly recommend, especially under the eyes as it works so well to cover my dark circles. Unfortunately the pump dispenses way too much product and that knocks the rating down for me as it wastes so much product. Overall though, a really good concealer.
Loved this colour but hate how quickly this chips. I would have rated this higher if it wasn't for the chipping - chipped on me within several hours, even with a top coat. Not going to repurchase.
Wow. I think I've found my HG concealer! Comes in a great range of colours and is super creamy and opaque but blendable and smooth. It doesn't crease and has good lasting power though it might need a touch up after around 5 or 6 hours. I would not recommend choosing a colour from pictures online because I found that what I thought matched online definitely did not match in store, so definitely swatch this yourself so you don't get the wrong colour. A little goes a long way too. Very impressive product and highly recommended.
Eye Makeup Remover -Maybelline - Clean Express! Waterproof Eye Makeup Remover

This is a great makeup remover, especially for eyes and waterproof makeup. I used to think the garnier 2-in-1 makeup remover was my HG makeup remover, but this may be a contender for the title! Effective, doesn't irritate my eyes and inexpensive. So good!
Lip Gloss -L'Oreal - Colour Caresse Shine Stain / Shine Caresse
lizzea 5/1/2013 7:02:00 AM
My feelings for this product are so oppositional.. on one hand this glossy stain does both - provide a nice gloss and a stain and it really lasts a very long time if you aren't eating or drinking and it stays quite a long time even if you are. On the other hand the colour selection is so limited and when I apply it (with one or multiple coats), it applies a COMPLETELY different colour to what was expected, if anything, it applies 4 shades darker than advertised. Really strange, kinda good on one hand but completely sucky on another (I wanted the colour I was promised!). I think this product will require a bit of playing with... knowing that I love the staining, gloss and lasting power, but also knowing that it dries *darker* than intended, I will try one coat over a really bright lipstick to see if it dulls down the bright lipstick while maintaining the gloss and long-lasting quality. I think this product was *almost* perfect, but L'Oreal needs to release a version 2.0 and correct the flaws I mentioned.
Palettes -Unlisted Brand - BH Cosmetics - 120 Color Palette 1st Edition

I would never need to repurchase this as I don't experiment with colours that often, but it is really handy to have for seasonal looks (St Patrick's Day, Valentines Day, Halloween etc). It's not high end quality by any means, but it is pretty decent considering the price. If you use a primer, it will definitely last a long time, without a primer though, it'll end up all over your face as the shadows are a little powdery. Really fun colours and overall a fun, affordable palette to experiment with.
Top/Base Coats -Sally Hansen - Salon Manicure Smooth & Strong Base

I like this base coat, affordable and does its job. I only wouldn't buy it again because I like trying different products.
Mascara -Cover Girl - Lash Blast Clump Crusher mascara
lizzea 2/17/2013 4:07:00 AM
This is an ok mascara... ironically, you can build it up to be very clumpy and spidery if you want to, haha. It does flake and smudge a little but I always have that problem with 98% of the mascaras I use... this is actually one of the better ones. If you want to try it out just because of the hype, it isn't bad nor is it amazing. Doesn't volumise enough for me and can look clumpy with too many coats. It's something to try if it goes on sale or is BOGO.
AMAZING blue glitter nailpolish! Opaque in 2 coats and is so cheap and doesn't chip easily (well, in my experience, even without a top coat). Such good value and a good buy!
This is my HG blush! It is the only blush I've ever used that stayed on for a full work day, stayed pigmented and didn't get blotchy at all. It doesn't make me break out which is usually an issue when I use blush. Really worth the money as its also blendable and will suit many skin tones. Love!
Lotions/ Creams -Avon - Foot Works Overnight Treatment
lizzea 2/6/2013 6:17:00 AM
I really like this. Moisturizing but not greasy at all, isn't too thick and smells lovely in lavender. I got this as a Christmas gift and it will get a lot of use!
What an absolutely beautiful highlighter, a nice buttery texture and a gorgeous champagne colour that will suit most skin tones from light to dark. I have deep tanned skin and this highlights my cheekbones and brow bones without the area looking chalky like some light highlighters can do so on me. A really nice product!
Eye Primer -Too Faced - Shadow Insurance, Anti-Crease Eye Shadow Primer
lizzea 1/26/2013 1:09:00 AM
Works very well to keep shadow in place all day, but you have to be aware that if this product sits unused for a little while, it will separate in the tube, so make sure to shake it very well every time before use. I think this works a tiny bit better than the Urban Decay Primer Potion, but only marginally; they're basically the same and work as well as each other in my opinion.
I really love this palette - it's my first foray into The Balm and I'm very impressed with the selection of shadows (mix of shimmer and matte), the colours, pigmentation and texture of all. I think the magnetic closures and the fact that the powders are separated from the balms/cheek stains, really helps protect the products so there's no fall out into the lip products. The cute heart mirror is a nice touch, along with the clever musical pun names of all the different components. I got this as a Christmas present and I think it would make a lovely gift for any makeup lover.
Lip Treatments -Unlisted Brand - Lucas' Papaw Ointment

Greasy, lots of claims that don't really make any sense as to why this is helpful for any of them... It's an ok balm but that's about it. It's not that expensive so it's not a complete waste, but I'd spend money elsewhere on a better product.
