Blush -New York Color - Blushable Creme Stick #645 Big Apple Blush [DISCONTINUED]
kimmyn 3/18/2011 4:39:00 PM
I own two creme blush sticks from NYC (the other being Pink Plaza) and I love both! They are such a steal for the quality. The pigmentation is great (you can apply a little and blend for sheer coverage, but it is buildable) and it does not feel sticky on my cheeks! I usually apply by just swiping at an angle on my cheeks and blend out with my ecotools blush brush and it gives such a great natural flush. I also use it as a sheer base for powder blushes as well. Would def repurchase if I lose/run out.

Blush -MAC - Just A Pinch Gel Blush
kimmyn 3/18/2011 4:36:00 PM
For reference, I am an NC30. I picked this up at my local CCO a few months ago for about $13. It looks really scary in the jar (really red), but it got good reviews on MUA, so I got it anyways. I am very happy that I listened to the reviews :) It gives a gorgeous natural flush if applied sparingly. I use my pinky finger for application to make sure I don't go overboard because it is pretty pigmented. Alone, it lasts quite a while on me, but I usually put some powder blush on top and it helps the lasting power of the top blush as well :) I would def buy this again. The little jar will last forever though

Lip Treatments -Unlisted Brand - Lypsyl - Regular Lip Balm
kimmyn 3/18/2011 4:31:00 PM
I like this product, I received it as an xmas present since I am addicted to lipbalm. I think it is convenient and easy to use. I have been using it exclusively for about a month now and the main reason why I am giving it 3 lippies is because it seems to run out faster than any other lipbalms I've tried. Usually, a lipbalm will last me a few months, but this one is going to be gone within a month and a half.

Highlighters -Boots - No7 High Lights Illuminating Lotion
kimmyn 3/18/2011 4:27:00 PM
I LOVE this :) For reference, I am an NC30 with dry, non-sensitive skin. I have had this for a few months now and it does wonders. I have used it with my moisturizer & foundation for an all over glow and also to highlight certain areas of my face as well. It does a great job of both. I like this product for many reasons: 1) it's affordable at about $15 at Target 2) you get A LOT for your money 3) it lasts on my face & 4) it looks natural. If you are looking for a highlighter or something to add to your routine for a dewy look, I'd recommend picking this up at Target. I would def repurchase if I ever ran out :)

Eye Makeup Remover -Lancome - Bi-Facil Double Action Eye Make-up Remover
kimmyn 3/18/2011 4:23:00 PM
I have always used this to remove my eye makeup. My mom is a big Lancome fan and she always gives Bi-Facil to me (or I take it) since she doesn't wear eye makeup. So I have never paid for a bottle, Generally, I like this, it does what it is supposed to and removes the most stubborn eye makeup without irritating my eyes. The small sample bottles last me quite some time and that is why I've never had to buy the full size. I gave this an overall rating of a 4 instead of a 5 because it is pretty greasy feeling.

Eye Primer -E.L.F. - Mineral Eyeshadow Primer
kimmyn 2/6/2011 3:30:00 AM
Cheap. Effective. Has replaced UDPP for me. My e/s stay on all day for at least 8+ hours. Like UDPP however, it does cause creasing if you apply too much so be conservative in the amount used :) Very good primer imo, I also use it under my eyes to help with concealer. Works like a charm

Toners -The Body Shop - Vitamin E Face Mist
kimmyn 2/6/2011 3:04:00 AM
I have dry skin and this has done miracles for me in terms of making my makeup stay fresh and keeping my skin hydrated. I usually use a few sprays on my face to set my makeup and throughout the day to keep the dry patches at bay. It's like a cheaper Fix+ for me. HG item.

Blush -NARS - Orgasm Blush
kimmyn 2/6/2011 1:52:00 AM
I am NC30 and this looks pretty natural on me, like a workout flush or cold weather flush. I find that I do have to use a heavy hand in application because I have dry, blush eating skin. A lot of people dislike the shimmer, but I think it works great as long as you are not in direct sunlight, so I'd prefer to use it in the winter time or at night. This was my first HE blush and one of my first blushes ever actually and I have yet to hit pan after 1+ year of usage. I think I would repurchase again if I ever ran out.

Lip Treatments -eos - Lip Balm Sphere - Sweet Mint
kimmyn 2/6/2011 1:45:00 AM
I really wanted to try this initially because I was intrigued by the shape. Sweet mint was the first one I bought (I now have the pink and light green one) and I am almost done with it. I find that it works great underneath lipstick and/or lipgloss because it creates a barrier between that and my lips. It is not the most moisturizing balm I've used, but it's still decent. There are two main cons to this product and it is 1) this twisting area gets dirty easily for me and 2) it's bulky!

Treatments -It's a 10 - Miracle Leave in Product
kimmyn 2/6/2011 1:23:00 AM
I got the 2 oz bottle for free from Ulta's grand opening and was excited to try it. Let me start off by saying that I have really long, fine, and thin hair which gets difficult to comb after showers. I've used this by spraying this right after the showering and letting it sink in for about a minute before I start to comb my hair (brushing usually leads to losing more hair than combing). This product as really helped me by reducing the amount of tangles I have and making my hair easier to tame. It has also helped reduce fly aways. I will definitely repurchase when I run out.

Cleansers -Philosophy - Purity Made Simple (Real Purity Cleanser)
kimmyn 2/6/2011 1:19:00 AM
I love this product. I use this in the shower at night to clean my face of dirt and makeup. It does a wonderful job of taking off everything except for the most stubborn eyeliners. It is very gentle on my skin and works fast as well. Once I finish my 4 oz bottle, I want to buy a bigger bottle and pump to help with dispensing. Wonderful product and I highly recommend it.

Liquid -MAC - Face and Body Foundation
kimmyn 2/6/2011 1:07:00 AM
Let me start off by saying that I do have pretty good skin, but I have some redness on my cheeks and some uneven skin elsewhere. I love this foundation for many reasons. One, I don't need that much coverage and this does a perfect job evening out my skin. Two, it is easy to find a color match because the coverage is pretty sheer (I'm NC30 and opted for C4). Three, it feels natural, lightweight on and I usually use one or two layers. Four, I have dry skin and this does not perpetuate that problem and create dry patches on my face. One thing I do not like about this foundation is that it takes a while to set/dry so I usually apply a setting powder because I hate the wait. Highly recommend for non-oily people :) I love it! ETA: I find that the best method of application is to use my hands and try to apply as fast as possible. If you can't cover every spot the first time, apply a second layer to concentrate on missed spots

Pressed Powders -MAC - Mineralize Skinfinish Natural - Medium Dark
kimmyn 2/6/2011 1:01:00 AM
I am NC30 and I use this to set my liquid foundation/conceal as well as just a foundation on it's own on lazy days. I absolutely love this product because it does give a natural finish if you find a good color match and it has multiple purposes. I am not sensitive to many ingredients, but if you are, I hear this does cause some break-outs. Otherwise, a great product to add ro any collection :)

Concealers -Hard Candy - Glamoflauge Concealer
kimmyn 2/6/2011 12:55:00 AM
This stuff is amazing! Let me say that I have tried Erase Paste, Revlon Age Defying, LM Secret Concealer, Maybelline etc and this is the best! I use this for my dry undereye circles since they are pretty dark blue. You only need a little dab of this and after setting it with some powder, it stays on pretty well. For reference, I am an NC30 and I use Tan. Give this product a if you have undereye circles or blemishes. The price is more than reasonable as well since you get a ton of product

Eye Shadow -MAC - Paint Pot in Soft Ochre
kimmyn 1/31/2011 4:34:00 PM
I had high hopes for this product as I've heard good things about Painterly and that this was the counterpart for warm skin tones. I bought this from my MAC counter and tried it for a few days. I tried using it as a base and all over lid e/s. It did not perform for either function. The formula was horribly dry on my lids, I used a finger to warm it up and it still did not spread smoothly. I was extremely disappointed and returned this product. I'm NC30 and the color was also too light for me.
