What a neat package this is! Too bad the contents don't live up to it. Although I love the Sugar scent, this tastes like wax, goes on like wax, and left me with a waxy "rim" around my lips at the end of the day which I had to scrub off. It does not live up to its price.

Cleansers -Fresh - Soy Face Cleanser

Some people write about this being scented like roses and cucumbers, which is what the packaging states. My tube, however, smells hugely of dill pickles and just about made me retch. I wonder if Fresh is having a problem mixing this cleanser so that the scent remains the same in each batch. At any rate, this is supposed to be a gentle cleanser, so I used it several times on my face. Each time my skin felt very tight and uncomfortable after using this. I have combination/sensitive skin and this sounded like the perfect product. It was a real disappointment.

Treatments (Eye) -Kiehls - Creamy Eye Treatment with Avocado

This is the oddest cream as it starts out as a thick cream and changes to a watery consistency. I have not noticed that it does anything positive for the area around my eyes. It eventually sinks into the skin but does not seem to hydrate the area very well. I have begun using this along with another brand over the top of it... I'm just trying to use this up. One thing I do like: It has a nice, cooling feeling after application.

Scrubs -Fresh - Sugar Face Polish with Strawberries

This is a great facial scrub with that wonderful lemony Sugar scent, but there is no way I'd use it after cleansing. It would cause a MAJOR breakout. It does a fine job if I use it before cleansing, however, and leaves my skin soft and *fresh*. I got a deluxe sample of this on Sephora but would not purchase it.

Lotions/ Creams -Bliss Labs - High Intensity Hand Cream

This is a decent, basic hand cream. It is easily absorbed, which I like. I hate the sticky-hands feeling I get after using some other creams. On the other hand, the scent is not spectacular and it does not really seem to hydrate my hands for more than a few minutes. I don't think I'll buy this again.

Skincare - Face -Kiehls - Herbal Toner with Mixed Berries and Extracts

Although it is fun to look at the berries floating around in this toner, who wants mashed up berries all over their clean face? I have to squirt some toner onto a cotton "pillow" and then fold the pillow over to use the other side. I love the product because it's gentle and effective on my sensitive skin, but I hate the berry mess on my face!

Fragrances -Clean - Clean Provence

Yes, this does have a nice, soapy smell reminiscent of French milled soaps... at first. After a while it just becomes annoying and gives me a headache. And that's before it fades away altogether, which only takes about an hour. I'm thinking of returning mine for a refund.

Hair -Garden Botanika - Exhilarating Mint Conditioning Shampoo

I've used this off and on for years. They changed the packaging and the name, but the product remains the same. It's the only shampoo my mother (age 67) will use, so I have to order it for her as well. This gives the scalp a nice, tingling sensation and treats the hair gently. It's always a pleasure to use!

Love this blush! I can't use it all over my face as Benefit suggests, but love it as a subtle year-round blush. It always looks just lovely. People always comment on how perfect my skin looks. Although I wear moisturizer, foundation and this blush, people are surprised to find out that my skin isn't bare. I take that as a compliment! This is the prettiest pink and goes on so well. I am not a fan of small blush brushes that come with products, but this brush works well. This seems like a small amount of blush, but mine lasted forever! I just opened a new package today.

This was a disaster for my face. The first time I used it, my face was tight and slightly itchy. The next time my face became red and inflamed. I knew better than to give this another try. I do not have particularly sensitive skin, but had no luck with this product.

Cleansers -Juvena - Q10 Cleanser

My face is combination normal/oily in the summertime, but in the summer turns all-out dry. I love to use this in the winter. It keeps my face moist yet removes all traces of makeup. I smooth it on, then remove it with tepid water. My only wish is that this came in a pump bottle rather than a squeeze top.

Shampoo -Frederic Fekkai - Full Volume Thickening Shampoo

This is truly a great shampoo for fine hair. It does not strip my hair of moisture, either. In fact, I don't even have to use conditioner with this shampoo. The scent is pleasant and not too strong. UPDATE May, 2005: After using this for a longer period of time, I noticed a buildup of residue on my hair. This went away after using another type of shampoo. Instead of making my hair thick and full, my hair was slightly greasy looking. I gave this to my husband to finish up (and his hair now appears greasy, too!) and won't repurchase.

Fragrances -Fresh - Lemon Sugar

What's not to love about this bright, lemony scent? I like to spritz on a lot of the original Sugar scent and then layer some of this on over it... Just a bit. It's a great combination and the two scents together last longer than either one alone. Nummy! Cute bottle, too. I can keep it in my desk drawer, and keep a bigger one at home. It makes a great pick-me-up in the afternoon!

Lips -Eyeko - Minty Fat Balm for Lips

This comes in the cutest package, but the balm itself is awful! It goes on thick and goopy, leaves whitish gooey globs on the lips, and tastes awful. It smells slightly of mint, but I wouldn't call it minty. The cuteness factor is not worth the pain of trying to get the fat stick to glide onto your lips... and I never figured out how to actually smooth it out without having lumps of white goo remain. This was a real disappointment.

Lip Gloss -Philosophy - Holiday Kisses Set

I wish the sugar cookie tasted as wonderful as it smells. Plastic comes to mind when I think of the taste. Ugh! The peppermint patty smells deliciously minty but has the same plastic taste. Both of them were a bit sticky and wore off after just a short time, leaving an uncomfortable feeling. I am not sure I'll even try the last of the three flavors. I plan to return this for a refund.
