Moisturizers -Estee Lauder - Daywear Cream SPF15
hunnybunnyipm 11/30/2012 2:53:00 PM
It's a perfectly fine moisturizer. I really like the smell to it, but I prefer the Time Zone (I just wish it smelled like this). I think Day Wear doesn't go one quite as smoothly, but there's nothing wrong with it. I save it and put it on my chest when I buy combo packs or deals, or when I'm running low on Time Zone and there isn't a gift with purchase deal worth buying some Time Zone yet.

Eye Makeup Remover -Estee Lauder - Gentle Eye Makeup Remover

Terrible. Glad I didn't pay for it. Just really, really horrible. Doesn't take make-up off and it hurts while failing to be effective. I DO use it for *minor* touch ups because I know it's not powerful enough to impact the rest of my make-up.

Treatments -Estee Lauder - Perfectionist CP+ Wrinkle Lifting Serum

Well - very mixed review here. I LOVE this product. It gives my skin this wonderful matte look and feeling. Buuuut... it makes me break out like CRAZY. I do have sensitive skin though. I can't use Biolage or Joicio products on my hair or my whole body breaks out, so take what I'm saying with a grain of salt. Go to Nordstrom or Lord & Taylor and see if you can get a generous sample, use it for a week and see if you react at all. I don't know what it is that does it - I Clairsonic at night, put vitamin e oil on me face and then just a wash cloth and cold water in the AM then go through my regular routine and never have any break outs. Once I put this puppy in the routine I got those big nasty cyst like zits that I almost never get. So fair warning. I do love it though, just wish it didn't make my face explode.

Lip Treatments -Bliss Labs - Fabulips Sugar Lip Scrub
hunnybunnyipm 11/26/2012 7:01:00 AM
It's a pretty unique product, I think. I haven't seen a ton of lip exfoliators, and every now and then you really need one. I like that it has a really lovely flavor, and it does exfoliate and get that yucky stuff off your lips. Just make sure you MOISTURIZE after you use it. The product itself is a little stiff and hard to scoop out, but not bad. I bought it in the Fabulips 4-Step Kit from Amazon, which is the best deal to get it in.

Eyeliner -Bobbi Brown - Gel Eyeliner

So, I put a 3 for price. Here's the thing - these pots last forever. So I think that $22 for a product that will last for months is a fair price. I am never content with products. Even when I find one I like, I compulsively try new products. With gel liners though, I've never found one I've been happy with until now. I vehemently disliked Estee Lauder's, which is funny since EL owns BB, and bought this one after seeing the MUA reviews. My mom and I had seen a special on BB a few months ago and I had been curious about her cosmetics since. I signed up for her deal alerts, she finally had one and I used it as an excuse to get the Black Ink/Black Mauve combo. That done - really happy with this and no urges to buy gel liners since I got it. The duo thingy I got came with a mini brush that doesn't look like it should work, but it does for application. It won't apply a super thin line, but will apply a nice line (and I never do a super thin line anyway). For fun I put it on at night, let it set, then RUBBED my eyes. It held up really well. I had to wet a tissue and scrub a bit to get it to start coming off, which for a non-waterproof product is great. Also, it doesn't flake off which was my problem with the EL gel liner. Also applies well with the Sonia Kasuk (I think I destroyed that spelling) brushes at Target. Going to experiment with some others as well, will update if I find another good one.

Treatments -Garnier - Sleek and Shine Moroccan Sleek Oil Treatment

I have my shiny back!!! I wanted to wait a whole week before writing a review but couldn't do it. I'm five days in, and wow. My hair LOVES to look greasy, but this doesn't weigh it down or grease it up at ALL. Even with dry shampoo for a second day my hair stays shiny, whereas normally my trade off with dry shampoo is dull hair. I've also noticed a huge change in the texture of my hair - some of the styling products I've been using have been leaving it a little stiff. I've been hesitant to harsher cleansers due to my coloring (red), and I don't want to over condition (fine hair that loves to be limp and greasy). Even using some Pureology products I just felt like my hair wasn't getting soft (if that makes sense). This stuff? Wow. After one day it's like I have new, soft hair that keeps volume. And it's so, so cheap (I mentioned that I paid for Pureology, right?). Just buy it and try it and love it!

Eyeliner -Estee Lauder - Double Wear Stay in Place Eyeliner in Midnight Blue
hunnybunnyipm 11/5/2012 10:50:00 AM
I purchased this in black, but this was the only review of this product I could find. I adore Estee Lauder's skin care products, their lipsticks are a dream, their mascara are amazing (but only in sample size, go figure), and I like their foundations. So when my friend raved about this eyeliner I thought done deal. Well, a 1 is kind of harsh, but when you're paying Estee Lauder prices, you get held to a high standard. It flakes like crazy all over my face. It dries out as I'm putting it on and is a bit of a pain. Now, it's lovely when you've just put it on, but it smears like crazy and there are black flecks all over my face all day. Very disappointing.

Lip Gloss -Too Faced - Glamour Gloss Volumizing Lip Gloss with Lip Injection Comfort Plump in Pillow Talk
hunnybunnyipm 11/4/2012 10:54:00 PM
Got this in a bundle package, thought "Oh, this is nice." Then I used it. WOW. Love it. I never thought I'd LOVE a lip gloss. Totally expensive, so saving up my Ulta points to get more. I normally think all this plumping is a load of crap, but I actually noticed a difference using this stuff. Others have noted how it has a really nice smell and taste, and I have to echo that. It makes me want to wear it all the time. That and it looks great :).

This is my go-to strong hold hairspray. It's a stiff spray, but it holds all day. Goes on sale a lot at Ulta for BOGO's. Been using it for years, brushes out pretty well, really happy with it.

Eye Primer -Too Faced - Shadow Insurance, Anti-Crease Eye Shadow Primer
hunnybunnyipm 11/4/2012 10:47:00 PM
Adds HOURS to my shadows. Here's kind of the "trick" to my routine that works best for me - I put it on, then put on my eyeliner (usually Lancome Artliner, and it gives that some extra staying power too). Then I put on my eyelash primer, let that dry, then my mascara, make sure I haven't screwed it up and gotten any on my lids, and THEN I put another "coat" of this primer down. I find that the second "coat" really makes the difference in how long something holds. Been using it with the Maybelline Color Tattoo line, and those puppies are there ALL DAY! (we all know they're lying when they say 24 hour, right? Well, this stuff makes it possibly true. That or my eyelids are THAT greasy :) ) Also, I do that thing where as I'm getting ready I stick it in my bra so my body heat warms it up a little. That seems to make it glide on better. It tends to get build up on the tip no matter how careful I try to be about it, hence the four star for packaging, and when I get a new tube it's a little separated so I "shake" it a little and work it in the tube the first while.

Styling Products -Bumble & Bumble - Surf Spray
hunnybunnyipm 11/4/2012 10:08:00 PM
This is one where it's not the best, but it's one of the better I've found. First off, it's a little stinky. Like it's not a smell that doesn't appeal to me, it's just a bad smell. Almost musty, so I have to use perfume or something in my hair afterwards. I'm also going to say that no product gives you gorgeous beachy waves, or at least no product does for me (man my hair hates to hold a curl). It takes some work, but this plus Liqwd's The Perfect Wave and a diffuser make the least possible work (ie, only six or seven well place curls with the iron, vs 15 or 20 - I got a lot of hair). I've used this solo, and it's okay, but I have to use a lot, it makes my hair really sticky, and there's the stinky factor. I realize I'm not making it sound great, but it does work and that's more than I can say for a lot of the other products on the market. For those of you with stick straight hair I strongly recommend a bottle of this plus Liqwd's The Perfect Wave and a diffuser. They're not cheap, but will last you forever especially if you use them together and require the least amount of curling iron touch ups. I also get 2-3 days if I use some dry shampoo out of it. I use the B&B on the second day with the diffuser and an iron for some touch ups.

Eye Makeup Remover -Lancome - Bi-Facil Double Action Eye Make-up Remover
hunnybunnyipm 11/1/2012 8:47:00 AM
So, wow. My friend always saves her make-up purchases for when there are deals at the designer counters, and she always goes crazy whenever there this make up remover is thrown in. I had two small bottles which I kept thinking they'd be great for travel. I was happy with my Neutrogena, I thought she was just going crazy for no reason. I use the Isehan Kiss Me Heroine Make mascara, which is ROUGH to remove to say the least. I've had to start saving it for special occasions because my eyes were getting really sensitive to taking it off, and sensitive in general to my eye make remover. Keeping that in mind, I dug out the bottle of this I had laying around and gave it a whirl. Whoa. Awesome. Amazing. Literally two swipes and it was all gone, my skin felt great and my eyes weren't tender. After using it I went online and immediately shelled out $27 for a full sized bottle. Yes, that's how good it is. Now, at $27 after a month or two I'll see if my skin has calmed down enough to throw my old stand by Neutrogena back in the mix to spread it out, but if you're having any reactions or problems, or you need change up make up multiple times in a day (which I just can't b/c the removers hurt my skin too much), this is your product.

Shampoo -Joico - K-Pak Color Therapy
hunnybunnyipm 10/13/2012 8:49:00 PM
So I bought it on Amazon where it was much, much cheaper than retail, and I'm really glad I didn't spend more than $15 for the shampoo/conditioner set. The shampoo took as much shampoo for my above shoulder length hair then regular shampoo took for my waist long hair. When I was done and my hair was dried, I would often have to put dry shampoo in because my hair was still greasy. Afraid it was my other products, I did one where I only shampooed and did nothing else and was still greasy. AND THEN I got zits ALL OVER my scalp, hairline, neck, and chest. Biolage gave me the chest and back zits, but the scalp and neck were new (and gross and painful). I have really fine hair that tends to be greasy. Admittedly I don't have problems with dry or problematic hair, I try to use color care products as preventive measures. If you're looking for something protective/preventative, this might not be the product for you. Maybe it's just better for repair work. Oh - and the lids kept coming unattached.

Shampoo -A/G - Colour Savour Sulfate Free Shampoo
hunnybunnyipm 10/13/2012 8:35:00 PM
So there's a slight caveat to my review - I've started using Pureology's Purify shampoo once a week after I had a problem with build up from using Joico's K-Pak Color Therapy, but that's waaay too expensive for daily use. I found AG at Ulta and bought a sample bottle that I'm still working on. I love it. It smells great and lathers well and doesn't take much product to clean - something I was not experiencing with Joico. And as far as color care? Two days before my hair appointment - ie, when my color was at its worst, and about 8 or 9 days after starting with AG and two "doses" of Pureology my roommate asked if I had already gotten my color done - it revived it that much!! I think the Pureology helps to get the build up out, but the AG keeps my color looking great during the week and on my daily washings (I got greasy hair). And it does smell AWESOME.

Lipstick -Lancome - Groupie
hunnybunnyipm 9/11/2012 6:52:00 PM
Wow! I have to confess, I got this for free which is why I priced it low. Also, the packaging does feel a little cheap, especially compared to Estee Lauder. I had a code for my birthday from Lancome where I'd get 5 lipsticks with a $35 purchase, and since I'm obsessed with their ArtLiner's I figured this was a good deal. I'd gotten some of their lipsticks in the past with combo deals, and not been thrilled with them (felt kinda waxy), but I was in need of an eyeliner anyways, so figured I had nothing to lose. Glad I went for it!! Love love love this color!! I'm super pale and this is a wonderful red that gives me a little oomph without making me too vampy or washing me out. Great shimmer and sparkle too. On me it can transition from office (one coat) to going out (two or three). And it feels as smooth as lip balm on me, so I'm now back on the wagon with Lancome lipsticks.
