Polishes -OPI - You Don't Know Jacques!

It is smooth and saturated brown grey with purple undertones, which makes it good for any skintone. Looks like nothing in the bottle but goes on nicely and is very sophisticated for an office or just simple elegant look. Works great with my medium skintone. Goes on nicely even when a little dry.

Since I have huge pores and an oily skin with many imperfections, I've used this foundation for years. The only thing I wish is that it had a pump. It is the same, maybe even better than MAC and I mean better in how it stays on and how long it lasts on me, not mentioning cheaper. The reason it *WAS* and not *IS* my favourite foundation has to do with a couple of issues I run into with this foundation over the years: 1. Shade. I tan of self tan sometimes and this foundation does not have a good shade blending option. I had 3 shades I mixed together and you could still often see the jawline being either darker, or I looked like a ghost. Sometimes, when the foundation tried up a bit in the bottle I looked kind of greyish. Which brings me to the next point: 2. The foundation dries up. You gotta use it pretty quickly & shake it well before use. After 3-4 months of using it you will see the quality of it going down. It will get cakey, the formula will layer in the bottle and you might need to warm it up and mix it before applying and it will apply more thickly - not a good thing. 3. Because of 2, it not having a pump is an issue and stores selling old stock is an issue. I got frustrated with the fact you could definitely see I was wearing foundation, a lot of it, so I kept this and MAC for photos and going out at night (when layering tons of foundation is not a big deal) and stuck to my expensive but so wonderful MUFE. a little tip: scrubbing your face and applying extra moisturizer before application will lessen the side effects. Use a sheer powder, this foundation is heavy already.

Makeup Brushes -Coastal Scents - Synthetic Buffer Brush Large
glowww333 8/24/2010 6:44:00 PM
Great brush for foundation, great for it's kind and very under-rated brush design. I have used flat and buffing foundation brushes, kabuki brushes for powder foundations, fingers, sponges, etc. and nothing worked as well as this brush. Buying: The most frustrating part. I bought it on Costal Scents' website and it was sold-out almost for 2 weeks, but I kept checking every day just like somebody here recommended. I bought it as soon as I saw it is available (since they have no pre-order, irritating) and it got shipped for really cheap ($3) to Canada in like 1-2 weeks. Overall, I got it for $12-15 and it is cheap for a foundation brush and for this quality. Packaging: non-existent, which is okay. I got it in a brown padded envelope and the brush had a plastic film around the bristles. I aldo got a thank-you card and a shadow sample from the shipper. Design: Pretty much like you see on the photo. The handle is big and sturdy, the design is slick and looks like it will last a long time. Super soft bristles, no smell, no fall-out (even when washed) great feel on the face. Washing: I use dove or moist. shampoo. Washes off easily, dries well, no fall-out. Ok, maybe just one. Application: great for mixing foundations to create your own shade, great for stippling and getting the foundation in these hard-to-reach places. Great for powders, much better than the kabuki. I feel like this is going to be the go-to brush in my collection!

Fragrances -Paco Rabanne - Black XS for Her
glowww333 8/15/2010 10:55:00 AM
Defenetly a smell to check out if you are into sweet and bold feminine smells. It is NO: candy-like, girly, flat, fresh or too floral. It is: Bold, balanced, enigmatic, and dimensional. Very Armani Code: without the excess Code has: the moldy aftertaste and the "too out there' notes. XS is very balanced, unlike other perfumes. It is definitely a top 10 and I love it! it sometimes annoys me to smell it on more "mellow"/"boring" girls, I know I shouldn't say that but it's just how i feel. It's a must have parfume if you are looking to bring our the sexy assertiveness without the open aggression, but wears too strong on some girls...

great parfume! i was debating between this and burberry the beat and decided on this one because of how my family felt about it. both my mom and hubby said that the burberry dried to an "older" and more flat smell, and both liked the bouquet that Lola offers. the smell fits the bottle: colorful, sweet and not too sweet, expensive and complex with some girliness in it. love the bottle!! UPDATE: downgraded my review to 3/5 - this is a very easy smell to get tired of

Fragrances -J. Lo - Glow

I remember when it came out, everybody was crazy about it. JLo was at her prime and everybody was trying to get their hands on something with her name and curves on it. Whoever marketed this scent was a genius, because it was just the right timing, right bottle, right brand. BUT... as for the smell, I struggle through it every time. I love how it almost smells like baby powder but it has some weird undertones that makes me want to wish it dried faster. I am sure many people love it, I just think it has nothing sexy about it...

Fragrances -J. Lo - Still

It reminds me of a good and sweet cup of bergamot (earl grey) tea and it is classy, feminine and luxurious. Definitely for a special night out or a winter smell. Not because it is overpowering, but simply because it has warm tones and deep mellow notes. A MA told me that the smell didn't do so well and I am still unsure why. I find it to be so classy...just like JLo at her best...

it reminds me of a good mix of raspberry and flowers without being too sweet - just fresh. with great staying power. This perfume was so cheap and it is still my fav, I think I had like 3 bottles and I have a small 30ml I carry around with me and it is about to end...

It smells like lime and I love it. Other than that, there is not much I love. I bought it for $8 so I am happily smelling like lime for cheap ;) I spray it on me in my car so the car also smells fresh...

I bought in on a sale and now i love it. It is nice smells like lily of the valley to me and to 2 of my girlfriends. I didn't intend to love it so much, since I have a lot of very sophisticated smells in my stash... but like one reviewer said, turns out I am also monogamous. I am down to my last 25% of the bottle and I am quite upset since I now have to go and get another bottle... and this one might not be on sale ;))

Fragrances -MAC - Hue-Turquatic ]

My husband's favorite perfume on me! Which says a lot due to the fact he is very sensitive to the way I smell and look. He says that I smell like I just got out of the sea and he really likes it. It has a strong smell at first which I still feel even after months of using it. The small size is really good for carrying around with you... and although it's only around 20-25 dollars, it's actually quite expensive when you calculate the size you are getting (i think it's 20-30ml). Thank god you don't need much!

I first smelled i about 15 years ago on my mom and i thought it was weird, Then I grew up and became more discriminating with what I put on me and I have to say that this smell is the best "fresh" smell out there and I do not care what it "IN" and what it "OUT". To me, it literally smells like fresh air and it has the quiet sophistication I adore. Now... the bottle is one of the best ever and the little tip on top is something I loved to stare at with no particular reason, just so well designed. I buy it for my mom until this day and I buy my hubby the HIM version and this smell never leaves me disappointed...

Fragrances -Givenchy - Very Irresistible
glowww333 8/12/2010 10:39:00 PM
I am on my 3rd bottle and what I like about it is what a lot of girls dislike: it's generic appeal. I used to have a lot of bottles, 1/2 empty (at most) and I would just regift. Why? too annoying after I get used to them. I treat perfume like I treat men: if a perfume makes me reach for a refill, I keep it. I don't know if it is my ADD or what ;)) but truth is that it is very "womanly" without feeling old. I think it is sexy, glamorous and strong without being overpowering. I like the dry-down on my clothes and it emphasized other perfumes quite nicely if I layer them on top. If you are an "angel" or "euphoria" lover or if you are out there to shock - this is not the perfume for you. If you are looking for a "barely there" smell - press forward. but if you are looking for a calm-bold statement with no annoying notes, this is the one...

Eye Shadow -MAC - Retrospeck (Lustre)
glowww333 8/11/2010 10:19:00 PM
It was recommended to me by the MA when I first got into MAC and i bought it. It always looked like silver to me but than it would go on too sheer and to shimmery. Than I learn to obey the following rule: use shimmery shadow with matte looks and matte/opaque shadow with shimmery looks. It is actually not silvery, it is actually more yellowish, although my eye does not pick it up when it is in the jar. I do not think anyone has a dupe for this one, worth checking out.
