Shampoo -Jason Natural Cosmetics - Dandruff Relief Dandruff Shampoo

A great dandruff shampoo IF you have thick healthy hair. Gave me great, shiny curls and clearly is clarifying. People complain about scent, but once I used my Morrocain oil conditioner and treatment, could not smell a thing. If you have dry or fine hair - may not like it as much,

A better than the original dupe for Oh Baby! Same scent and color - slightly more pigment and staying power and much cheaper. SOLD!

Hair -Unlisted Brand - Prell Rinse Clean Shampoo

Bar none the best clarifying shampoo, and dare I say, dandruff shampoo. Bought when a salon dye job left me with black vs. dark brown hair. Didn't lift the color, but found it removed all the build up from my beloved Moroccanoil product. Use it once or twice a week now and find my hair is shiny and scalp clean. I am dandruff prone and I find this really helps. I alternate between this and the Moroccanoil shampoo. (PS - stylist fixed the bad dye job and Prell had not altered the color at all)

Eye Makeup Remover -Vaseline - Vaseline - Pure Petroleum Jelly

Only giving this 4 cause I kind of feel bad using it (doctors yell at you for it, it can clog pores, etc). But it works! But it's cheap! But it travels beautifully (especially the new mini size)! Nothing else takes off my Nars black liner. Massage a small dab then tissue off.

Treatments -Moroccanoil - Morrocan Oil Treatment
rated 5 of 5

I am on my third bottle of Morroccanoil and absolutely adore it. Nothing smooths and defines my curls as well. It's a 5 for me, but a few things to keep in mind. - If you have fine hair or blonde hair, this is not for you. - If you have straight hair, it's a dry hair finisher and you should use a light hand focused on the ends. - if you have long, thick, curly coarse hair that soaks up conditioners and oils like a man in the desert sucks down a water bottle this is your HG product Yes, it can build up, and yes it has silicones, but it works! I wash my hair every 2-3 days and alternate between Prell and Moroccanoil shampoo. This insures my hair stays soft and healthy while avoiding buildup. I use 6-7 pumps on wet out of the shower hair. Comb through. Use 4-5 pumps of the Moroccainoil curl cream. Comb through. That's it. I do not touch my curls til they are dry. Then I gently shake them out a bit. PERFECT natural, wavy curls.

BB Cream -Smashbox - Camera Ready BB Cream SPF 35
rated 5 of 5

Am about to start my third tube of the AMAZING product. This is not for dry skin or for skin that needs tons of coverage. But if you have decent, normal to slightly oily skin, this will absolutely perfect it. The coverage is between a tinted moisturizer and liquid foundation. It primes my skin for concealer and blush. And I love the SPF. I don't use any thing but this (no additional moisturizer, primer or foundation) as this truly does it all. My HG skin product as it truly makes my skin look naturally fantastic vs. made up. As an NW20, I use this in light, NYX HD concealer in beige for under eye and CG trublend to set. (PS - Yes it's expensive, but as I don't need moisturizer, primer and foundation it's a relative bargain).

Mascara -L'Oreal - Extra Volume Collagen mascara
rated 3 of 5

This product is odd. When I first bought it, I hated it. Too clumpy, odd brush, not a good look. But sometimes with L'Oreal mascaras, I find they do better after a week. Almost a break in period. After it got broken in, I liked the look, but didn't love the product. Ultimately, I would buy the formula again, but am not a fan of the hour glass brush. If they kept the thick bristles but smoothed the shape, would buy again.

Mascara -L'Oreal - Voluminous Million Lashes
rated 3 of 5
evapop 1/11/2013 9:29:00 PM

This product made me look like I had naturally long, thick, curled eye lashes (mine are longish but straight and need mascara to pop). It won't give you that thick, rich borderline fake lash look. Good everyday/daytime mascara and would buy again. But not a miracle worker. UPDATE: took one lippie off. After using for a few weeks getting worse not better. Barely makes my lashes pop. Going back to my beloved double extend.

Lip Gloss -NYX - Goddess of the Night in Desert
rated 4 of 5

Love this gloss. Super cute summer look when paired with bronzed cheeks and mascara. Gave it only 4 stars though, cause I feel only girls with medium, neutral skin tones can pull this off. Will wash out a fair girl, clash with a warm skin tone and look pasty on a dark skinned girl.

Mediocre at best. Love the Elf studio line - especially the bronzers - but this does little and barely lasts. Skip it and save our $3.

Blush -Tarte - Cheek Stain in Flush
rated 5 of 5
evapop 1/11/2013 8:46:00 PM

My go to blush. Use it everyday. Am on my third tube. PROS: - Natural flush - very pretty - Works well over BB cream/ foundation as well as bare skin - Easy to apply and blend - Nice amount of product for price (and often on sale) - Color allows your skin tone to show through so works year round - Build color well CONS: - Needs to be set with powder - if your doing a contour/highlight is a bit harder to work with than a powder

Bronzers -E.L.F. - Studio Cool Bronzer
rated 5 of 5
evapop 1/11/2013 4:02:00 PM

LOVE all the ELF studio bronzers! Amazing value for great products with no orangy tones. The other bronzers (golden and warm) are shimmery and fun. This one - in cool - is my go to for contouring and highlighting as its matte and blendable. Plus, case is much higher end than its price would suggest. (Bought it online as E.L.F. always has coupons for under $3. Amazing deal!) It can be used for a super natural daily look (all the colors swirled to contour and white to highlight along with mascara and gloss), as well as a more dramatic look (darker color to contour, along with a shimmer highlight, strong blush, strong eye, muted lip). For reference, am an NW20, dark hair and eyes.

Powder -Cover Girl - TRUblend Pressed Powder
rated 4 of 5
evapop 1/11/2013 3:32:00 PM

This is my go to face/setting powder. Hit the pan every time and use it every day. Used to use MAC Blotting Powder but felt it was too drying and looked too much like powder on my face. Tried MakeupFover HD powder and it was just too messy and left a white cast on my face. Bought this on a whim after reading some reviews (and having a coupon) and love it! PROS: - Great natural look - Sets makeup very well - especially undereye concealer - Great for normal to slightly oily skin - If you are lucky enough to be a color match blends into your skin amazingly and leaves no powdery look CONS (Why only gets 4 lippies) - Not the longest lasting oil control - I usually need to use a blotting paper or reapply around 3pm - Not the greatest amount in the pan - I go through these rather quickly - Hate the sponge that comes with the product

Eye Shadow -NYX - Eyeshadow Pot
rated 4 of 5
evapop 1/11/2013 3:12:00 PM

Love the NYX eyeshadows for the price. Good color choice, super inexpensive, and good staying power. Gave it a 4 due to the packaging and minor fall out if you don't use a primer.

Concealers -NYX - HD Photogenic Concealer Wand
rated 5 of 5

Purchased in the shade Beige and its my new HG concealer. I have dark under eyes circles and have been using Mac Studio Concealer in NW20 for years. Lately Mac has been frustrating me, as I feel it gets cakey and settles into lines easily. The NYX concealer has a much thinner, but more pigmented consistency, which I LOVE. My circles are completely covered, no caking, and it has great saying power. A lighter application works to lighten up the circles, a heavier application gets you that Kardashian bright concealer look. I use it with Smashbox BB cream in light, CoverGirl truBlend power in #2. Plus its SO cheap. LOVE LOVE LOVE.
