Sunscreen -Desert Essence - Age Reversal Pomegranate Mineral Sunscreen
dragonballz 11/19/2009 5:20:00 AM
I had high hopes for this product as it is made from natural ingredients and I have had pleasant experiences with other products from Desert Essence. Well, everything started out great. That is until I realized the sandalwood essential oil was giving me a headache. The finish is also really nice compared to other mineral sunscreens. I would recommend this to anyone who doesn't have sinus or fragrance sensitivity issues.

Primer/ Corrector -Reviva - Makeup Primer
dragonballz 10/21/2009 1:02:00 AM
I am so glad I satisfied my curiosity about this product. It is fragrance-free, has a short ingredient list and helps my skin look less oily at the end of the day. I was initially scared to try it because of the olive oil and squalane in the ingredient list but so far it has not been a problem. It also has Vitamin A and CoQ10 so I feel that it is helping my skin along with just the superficial/immediate benefits. I had mine ordered from the Vitamin Shoppe and am very happy with the outcome.

Primer/ Corrector -Merle Norman - Foundation Primer
dragonballz 10/21/2009 12:45:00 AM
I like that this spreads easily unlike thick gel primers I have used. I think it makes my makeup look a little fresher and I use less liquid foundation after application. I don't think I'll repurchase though due to the chemical fragrance. It does dissipate somewhat but I have since found a primer that is fragrance free and has a shorter ingredient list.

Hair Styling Tools -Rusk - Speed Freak Blow Dryer
dragonballz 10/6/2009 1:24:00 AM
This is a fantastic dryer. I bought it a couple days before a concert hoping to have perfect hair for the occasion. My style looked flawless and even my bangs behaved which is a miracle in itself! My hair also feels healthier from using it. The only reason I didn't rate it a five is that it is somewhat heavy for me due to wrist strain issues I've had for awhile. I'm not sure if the newer pink one is lighter than my black model but please message me if you have used both as I am very curious to find out!

Lip Treatments -Desert Essence - Lip Rescue w/ Shea Butter
dragonballz 10/6/2009 12:53:00 AM
This is a great item to have on hand. It glides on smoothly and provides immediate gratification for dry lips. The staying power is decent and I love the natural formulation. It does not apply shiny but that is not a problem for me. I want to try the jojoba lip rescue next and this one was a good investment.

Lip Treatments -Alba Botanica - Passion Fruit Nectar Lip Balm
dragonballz 10/5/2009 11:54:00 PM
I was really excited to try this product but maybe my expectations were a little high. It doesn't seem very smooth to me and leaves a slight whitish coating on my lips. I always have to twist the stick up before using it because my lips push it down during application somehow. The twist is also near the top and I feel this is unsanitary. The smell is nice and I like using natural products but I will not repurchase this.

Cleansers -Clinique - Rinse-off foaming cleanser
dragonballz 9/2/2009 1:13:00 AM
About ten years ago I recall the SA saying that using this by itself was "like taking a shower with a raincoat on." ??? At any rate, this is only suitable imo if followed by a toner/astringent or else my face feels waxy and grimy. You only need a small amount and it is very frothy but I wouldn't recommend this product.

Conditioner -Kiss My Face - Whenever Conditioner
dragonballz 8/23/2009 3:23:00 AM
Somehow this has managed to become my favorite conditioner. I love the amount of slip/detangling abilities and how my hair doesn't feel weighed down after using it. Extra props for being somewhat organic as I am growing frustrated with excessive chemicals and man-made fragrances in my personal products. This is available at Target and the Vitamin Shoppe so pick one up when you get a chance.

Powder -L'Oreal - True Match Super-Blendable Powder
dragonballz 8/23/2009 3:05:00 AM
I picked up two of these in a Walgreens BOGO sale and have to admit I was somewhat disappointed. I got warm colors but both had a tinge of pinkness in them. I like that the powder doesn't look chalky upon application but there is little oil control afterwards. There is nothing especialy great or bad about this product imo but I won't be repurchasing.

Hair Color -Clairol - Second Nature
dragonballz 8/23/2009 2:48:00 AM
This is the only color I will use on my hair! It doesn't leave your hair with that "freshly dyed" dull look-it looks rich, shiny and numerous people have complimented me on the color. I highly recommend using the ash shades which are violet based (coming from someone who dislikes red/green tones in her hair). As long as I stay a brunette, I will continue to use this line.

Eye Shadow -Urban Decay - Shakedown Matte Eyeshadow
dragonballz 8/23/2009 2:30:00 AM
I've had bad luck with taupe shadows in the past looking too plum/gray/green but this one is just perfect. It also looks great when I layer Secret Service over or under it. A staple in my bag for years to come I'm sure!

Conditioner -Unlisted Brand - Awapuhi and Lavender Conditioner
dragonballz 8/22/2009 3:53:00 AM
I'm really not a big fan of this conditioner. It seems to give me bad hair days and I don't like the cone buildup. On the other hand, it does have good slip, nice organic ingredients (for the most part) and is a decent shaving cream.

Loose Powders -Makeup Artist's Choice (MUAC) - Custom Blend Loose Powder in Banana
dragonballz 8/22/2009 3:35:00 AM
This works well to neutralize orange/pink and you receive a lot of product. It doesn't feel cakey or heavy and I like the short ingredient list. Oil control is only so-so (which is why I deducted a lippy) but everything else is great.

Eye Shadow -L'Oreal - Wear Infinite-Classic Khakis duo
dragonballz 8/22/2009 3:00:00 AM
The darker shade applies greenish gray on my lids. It isn't bad but not particularly flattering on me. I think it would look better if I was still a blonde. The main reason I would repurchase is because I love the lighter shade and I use it under all my favorite shadows.

Eye Shadow -L'Oreal - Wear Infinite Eyeshadow Duo in Mocha Buff
dragonballz 8/22/2009 2:25:00 AM
I am obsessed with matte eyeshadows and purchased this primarily for the darker matte shade. It's a slightly warm medium brown that would flatter an array of complexions. I like the fact that it is buildable so I can achieve a natural or dramatic look. The staying power is nothing to write home about so it's a good idea to have a decent primer on hand. This is probably my favorite drugstore shadow.
